We had a more complex sale than most, as we were selling our shared ownership property on the open market at 100%, but Stow Bros Hackney handled it well from start to finish. Lachlan, who managed our sale, was calm, responsive and easy to talk to. He kept us regularly updated, communicated clearly throughout, and made what was a very stressful process feel much more manageable. I had an excellent experience with Ryan and Sotiria! Ryan contacted me with a list of flats that catered to my specific needs, which was very helpful, assisting me in narrowing down my search. From those, he showed me around two of them. He was friendly, kind and so informative; he had all the information needed about the flats, and answered all my questions. After putting down an on offer on a flat, Ryan was available on the phone and via email and helped me secure the flat I wanted! 5 stars! Thank you, Ryan! Lauren Wild genuinely saved me She secured me a beautiful river side, first time let in Fish Island at lightning speed. Viewed on Tuesday, agreed and sorted by Friday. My circumstances weren’t straightforward, but Lauren went out of her way to make it work. She handled negotiations with the landlord brilliantly and helped structure an arrangement so the tenancy could proceed. I genuinely don’t think this would have happened without her persistence and care. She was calm, responsive, human, and relentlessly helpful throughout. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation was handled with total professionalism and empathy. If Lauren hadn’t stepped in, I honestly don’t know where I’d be. Absolutely amazing experience with Stow Brothers! I have just bought my first property and had James as my estate agent. He was very kind and lovely. He took the time to go through everything with me as I did not know the processes well. I really appreciated that and he was an absolutely dream to work with. I then put in an offer and had a terrible time with my solicitor (as I did not go through the Stow Brothers recommendation solicitor and went with my own choice). Thankfully Tiffany at Stow Brothers worked continuously to ensure everything was sorted and chased the awful solicitor to ensure it was sorted by my completion date. She was unbelievably helpful and I probably would have lost the property without her. Cannot recommend Stow Brothers enough and their whole team. Thank you Tiffany and James!!

I cannot speak of James highly enough. I've viewed around 40 properties at this point with various estate agents around London, and can honestly say this was the best experience I've had. James was super knowledgeable about the area, gave some amazing advice, and most of all wasn't the usual estate-agent-sales-guy. The properties The Stow Brothers have seem to be much nicer than other agents, and whilst I haven't (yet!) found a place to buy through these guys, I hope there is somewhere I can offer on just to work with them again.

After searching for a flat for over 2 months, we had a flat viewing with Ingrid who was completely transparent about the flat, how competitive the offering process was, and other options that would be coming to market in the coming weeks. This was incredibly refreshing considering the experience we’d had with other estate agents who’d lied to us about the number of people viewing a flat, whether there were off market options, and had tried to upsell us at every turn. Ingrid is in my opinion, what an estate agent should be. She has communicated with us so thoroughly and has left us with no questions on next steps. Having rented in London for 6 years, this is by far my best experience getting a flat. I felt like she was genuinely invested in us getting a flat that we liked and we’re so excited to love in. Nice enough staff, but cannot recommend as an agency for selling a house. I think in instances that sales are smooth they are likely competent, hence the positive reviews. But in our case the team did a poor job overall of managing our buyers and complications in the chain. There was also a total lack of accountability from management, and blatant gaslighting from the branch manager.

Having previously had a very disappointing experience with another estate agent in the area, I can honestly say that Stow Brothers have restored my faith that not all estate agents are the same. From the outset, Eva’s enthusiasm, professionalism and determination to sell our property were evident. What impressed me most was that this commitment did not stop once the contract was signed. Throughout the entire process, she remained proactive, engaged and genuinely invested in achieving the best outcome for us. The results speak for themselves. Within just two weeks, Stow Brothers achieved what another well-known local agent had failed to do in almost a year…… they sold our property! Whilst the conveyancing process has unfortunately dragged on, that is certainly no reflection on Eva or the wider team. Lachlan was always available to assist, chase matters when needed and keep things moving wherever possible. I rarely leave reviews, and when I do it is usually because I have had a particularly poor experience. However, on this occasion I felt compelled to leave one because excellent service deserves recognition. If you are thinking of selling a property in Hackney, I would strongly recommend speaking with the team at Stow Brothers. Based on my experience, you will not be disappointed.
