GoogleWe were served a no fault eviction after just five months, which turned our lives upside down shortly after moving in. There was no empathy or consideration for our situation, and throughout the process it felt as though the agency acted solely in the landlord’s interests.
At the end of the tenancy, they attempted to deduct nearly £400 from our deposit. We formally disputed this through the deposit protection scheme and were awarded the full amount back three months later.
Maintenance issues during the tenancy were dealt with in a timely manner. However, towards the end of our tenancy the experience felt focused on trying to extract money from us rather than treating us fairly.
We were good tenants, we paid rent on time, vacated as requested, and left the property clean and tidy. Overall, the experience was very stressful.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found the experience stressful; however, we feel it is important to clarify several points for accuracy.
The notice served was a standard no-fault possession notice issued at the landlord’s request, strictly in accordance with the tenancy agreement and current legislation. As an agent, we are legally obliged to act on the landlord’s lawful instruction in these circumstances. This was not a discretionary decision made by our office.
With regard to the deposit, proposed deductions related to the condition of the property at check-out, which differed from the signed inventory at the start of the tenancy. As is standard practice, the matter was referred to the independent deposit protection scheme for impartial adjudication, and we fully complied with that process and its outcome.
For completeness, the tenancy itself arose via a tenancy swap arrangement, rather than a brand-new letting directly through our marketing channels.
We are pleased that you acknowledge maintenance matters were handled promptly during the tenancy, as we always aim to respond to reported issues as quickly as possible.
While we appreciate your perspective, we must also ensure that public comments reflect the contractual and factual position of all parties involved. We wish you all the best in your future accommodation.

GoogleI would strongly advise against using this estate agent. My experience, particularly with the management agent, was incredibly frustrating from start to finish.
The property was in a poor state when we moved in, and getting even basic issues addressed felt like an uphill battle. Every concern required multiple follow-ups, and instead of being handled professionally, they were often dismissed or minimised, which became exhausting over time.
Communication was most of the times unhelpful, and rather than taking responsibility or working towards solutions, it often felt like the goal was to deflect and delay. Ultimately, instead of resolving ongoing problems, we were asked to move out altogether.
Overall, a very disappointing experience that I wouldn’t wish on others.

GoogleAfter a couple of estate agent horror stories, where our property had been on the market for 6 months, tied up in a single seller contract, with just a couple of viewings in that time, we put our property on the market with SW19. We had heard good things through word of mouth, and via a twist of fate, I had also met the owner, Luke, through the nursery our kids attended.
That was in late December; fast forward less than 12 weeks later and we've had continuous viewings, turned down a couple of offers, accepted one and have now completed and exchanged! Top service every step of the way..... we were kept up to date with every viewing, every enquiry, given solid advice, had a laugh and never felt pressured. I wish I'd gone with SW19 from the outset, it would have saved my liver from some serious stress related alcohol damage! If you're buying or selling in the sw19 area, I don't think you could do any better than to go with these guys... a Local estate agent for local people!

GoogleI have used SW19 for the last 10 years through buying my property, to renting it over an 8 year period, to recently selling it. Throughout our working relationship they have been extremely helpful, providing impartial feedback and advise. Their Property Management team was responsive and on top of any and all issues that arose - including a 6 week period where a leak rendered the property unlivable - they arranged for plumbers/decorators and contractors to remedy the situation quickly before finding new tenants with in a two day period.
During the Sale, they handled all admin and navigated the process seamlessly. Special mention to Amy Ireland who coordinated everything up until the end and was an absolute pleasure to work with.
10/10 would recommend.
