TrustpilotReally grim customer service
We booked through their online system and received an email to say that we had the unit we requested, then a few days later they said that there had been an error and that our unit was no longer available. They persuaded me to move into another temporary space until an office became available like the one we had originally booked. We waited months for the right space and when we did move across we found that the air con was faulty and was very noisy (constant loud rattling) and yet they couldn't switch it off or fix it. After 3 months of complaining about this led nowhere I eventually withheld a rent payment to try to escalate the problem. However, instead of getting anywhere they just cut our internet and refused to switch it back on until I paid a 'late payment' fee. I explained that I had only paid late in desperation to get our problem dealt with but they said they had no control of the 'central billings'. In the end I had to pay the fine to get internet back and I was never able to speak to anyone senior who could ever deal with this. They still didn't fix the air con issue and, in the end, we just gave up and left. We would have been a long-term client but they just don't care and there is zero commitment to customer service. We are now happily in another business centre 2 minutes walk away and it is 'night and day' in terms of customer service. Don't move to Spaces if you expect remotely good customer service - be warned! The response below from Spaces is fairly typical and untrue. We were never offered a portable air con unit and they were never able to offer a remotely comparable office. More importantly, despite months of agro it is more-or-less impossible to escalate anything when things go wrong. We also never got an apology let alone an offer of a rent discount until things were fixed. They have major customer service issue in this business.

Hi Steve, I’m very sorry to hear about this.We can only apologise that your preferred office was unavailable. A situation such as this is extremely rare and we’re working hard to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We provided you with a larger office for the same price and ensured you had first refusal on any other offices that became available. The maintenance of our facilities is very important, and we can assure you of our highest standards. We aim to resolve issues such as this as quickly as possible and provided you with a portable air conditioning unit to ensure your comfort; you were also offered an alternative office which you declined. We appreciate this situation was frustrating for you but please understand that we still require that your monthly invoices are paid to avoid service restriction.A member of my team has contacted you directly to provide you a resolution and you are free to contact me directly at michelle.spire@spacesworks.com if you need further support.Kind regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

GoogleUnless you can't find anywhere else, you should avoid this place. It may be ok if you just want a desk in an open area for a few hours but if you are a serious business, you should look elsewhere.
What works? The location. Excellent location, just next to Liverpool Street Station, lots of food places nearby, easy connections.
What doesn't work? Where to start...
- As others have mentioned, if the lifts are working it's a minor miracle. One was out of action for over 9 months, the other 2 would take it in turns to break down and often no lifts were working.
- Cleaning is a disgrace. The kitchen sinks are normally blocked, the bins are overflowing by the end of the day, the stairwells are filthy and stink of smoke because of the smokers at the fire escape
- The toilets - urinals frequently overflowing, toilet seats bizarrely seem to break quite often, and here again are often in a disgusting state
- Heating/cooling - no aircon for 5 weeks and counting in the peak of summer (room gets to 29 deg). Heating frequently broken in winter.
- Management. Seriously, they just aren't all that bothered. I have complained frequently about the above, and despite assurances from Dan, the manager that I would get an answer on these, I have heard absolutely nothing since 27 June (almost 2 months ago at the time of writing).
Incidentally, from the conversations I have with other tenants, they share very similar views. It's a pity, this place could be very pleasant. But it's let down by the team running it.
No doubt I'll get a response to this review, with a reference number, but the one James got resulted in nothing at all. But that ticket was closed as resolved.

TrustpilotWe had a very negative experience…
We had a very negative experience during our time with Spaces. Last fall we were given less than a week’s notice that they were closing the Spaces at 287 Park Ave S. and that we had to relocate. This was a huge inconvenience and disruption of our business. We relocated to the Spaces at 401 Park Ave S. which was unkept, basic necessities like paper towels and hand soap weren’t stocked and constantly running out, restrooms and common spaces were dirty, this location had spotty wifi, printer issues, and temperature control issues. We made staff aware of these issues many times and conditions never improved. All of these constant issues became such a disruption to our business that we moved out of this location in less than a year. We do not recommend Spaces or Regus and will not be using their office spaces in the future.

Hi Amanda,We apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced following the closure of your previous Spaces centre. A centre closure can be a frustrating experience for customers and it’s something we try to avoid wherever possible. We understand that you'd have appreciated greater notice. Unfortunately, on this occasion we were unable to provide it, but I will make the relevant enquiries and take steps to prevent the situation from happening again. We can assure you that the bathrooms and hallways are not unclean. Our cleaning crew works nightly to minimize any disruption to customers. Additionally, we have increased the stocking of essentials in both the bathrooms and kitchens, which took effect this month. There will no longer be a shortage of paper and soap in these areas. There was a known issue with the software on the HP Printers which meant printing could only be done with a USB stick. This issue was resolved some time ago and customers could print for free during the period of difficulty. In the past, we experienced some inconsistency with the Wi-Fi due to increased occupancy. However, we had technicians address the issue earlier this year, and it has been functioning perfectly for the last six months so your comment that the “conditions never improved” is inaccurate.Your local team is already in touch with you to answer any further questions you may have.Kind regards,Michelle Spire Assistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Trustpilot3 stars is generous - Spaces in Atlanta
The staff was friendly and the place had a nice vibe. I don't like several things; 1 - You have to hunt for an outlet. I don't know why you brand yourself as a co-working space when you don't have outlets for computers at every table. 2 - they don't forward mail or notify you when you have mail unless you pay more money and what you pay is already high 3 - It's only open during regular business hours and you can't access it on weekends or eventing 4 - there is no filtered water or free coffee. This just makes it hard to really use it as a work space for any extended period of time. The benefit was that you can use it for an address for businessI know in Atlanta and beyond, Switchyard is cheaper and open 24/7 with water and coffee included. They don't offer the address for business feature, but for the work-from-home crowd, switchyard beats it 100%.In Nevada, I've found a place that I can use for a business address that does forward mail for cheaper than what I paid for Spaces. The worst part of spaces is that it auto-renews your membership a year at a time without you signing anything or really knowing it's happening. They'll send an email - hypothetically - but I don't recall receiving it, so I don't know if it looks like a newsletter email or what. And they won't let you out of it or give you any sort of break. I think that's a sign of a bad business model trying to hold revenue by any means possible.

TrustpilotWe have been really dissatisfied at our…
We have been really dissatisfied at our office in SPACES at 401 Park Avenue South, Suite 904, NY, NY 10016. We have been at this location since August of 2023, before which we were at SPACES 287 Park Avenue South (we moved a couple of offices there due to noise), NY10010.Since January of 2024 we saw a decline in the services at Spaces 401 Park Ave S. We have email messages going back to January 3, 2024 asking reception to put paper towels by kitchen sink. This turned into an almost everyday event where we had to notify reception of the basics, every day.The printers were always unreliable.Temperature control completely unreliable, freezing one day, boiling anotherWifi ok, but spotty some days.Spaces, hallways unsanitary!!Bathrooms are disgusting!!The dishes that come out of the dishwasher have to be hand washed before use as they come out dirty still. No hand soap, no paper towels, in men’s bathroom and kitchen, this is an everyday issue that has never been resolved. There is no cleaning crew in sight for months. We have not seen any cleaners this entire year. The kitchen is overflowing with garbage bags for days on end. There is no one here taking any responsibility or ensuring that our daily work experience is pleasurable. Reception staff are apologetic, but not making any difference in improving the working conditions.Printers!! No printers available for weeks end of June through mid July, and we have been asked to go to fedex every time we need to print something or download all on a USB stick to print at printer which is a waste of time.We even inquired about moving to another office but the rent quoted was astronomical at $3700 PM.We have been forced to leave our office because our everyday working environment was made miserable by SPACES.We moved out of Spaces yesterday, August 1, 2024 as we could not take the abuse and complete lack of attention any longer. Awful company and experience. Keep sending incorrect invoices and threats to take us to Court. Try and speak to anyone and no one actually listens to what you are saying, they just refer you to your online account which we cannot get into, again they offer no help they just ask us to raise a new query if we still have issues. Asked for the Managing Directors details as this has been ongoing for over a year, I was told the Manager was busy with other issues. They also doubled our rent without notice. Avoid like the plague!

Hello Sue,We are sorry for your experience.I have checked your rate to ensure it matches the indexation listed in the current house rules (available in the Documents section of your online account, myspacesworks.com). Please be assured that the price increase was not arbitrary, but rather a necessary adjustment due to the increase of several factors such as occupancy, real-estate costs, indexation…, which is an integral part of our agreement. As you may be aware, this indexation is a standard practice in the industry to account for fluctuations in the market, and it ensures that our pricing remains fair and consistent with the current market conditions. I've rented multiple offices for multiple years as well as having both coworking and lounge memberships. The spaces are stylish and functional and the staff in the offices are generally great! Unfortunately THE BACK OFFICE, ACCOUNTING, BILLING & CUSTOMER SUPPORT at REGUS HQ is UTTERLY ATROCIOUS AND DISHONEST AND PLAIN STUPID & DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS WHATSOEVER! TrustpilotIt is pricey for what it is
It is pricey for what it is. We are in a windowless room that is too small for 5 people for almost £3k a month. They weren't up front about some things as well - such as the real cost of booking rooms or that you have to pay for bike lockers (we were told they were free). They also have a 10 day cancellation policy for booked rooms. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbour's a lot.The breakout spaces are great. Wi-Fi works well. It is clean and tidy. It looks professional and can host people there. Location is great with lots around the office.

TrustpilotDon't waste your money
Awful company - they basically sold lies to us and promised office space that didn't live up to what they said it would. It's impossible to get into a building, you need to buzz a door for entry when they could just give you a pass. Some branches get too busy and when you're booking on the website it doesn't say how many desks are available, so a branch can be oversubscribed. We were told there were phone booths but very very few offices have places to take calls in peace and quiet. Don't expect tea or coffee either, you have to pay for the coffee and tea doesn't exist in their world. BRING YOUR OWN TEABAGS. Furthermore, they gatekeep their facilities - since when was a kitchen only available to people with certain memberships? You can't even guarantee to get a fork in some of the branches! And some of them don't even have a fridge or a microwave, these are BASIC office facilities. There is no regulated temperature, and this depends on where you go. Some offices are too cold, some are too hot. They can't do anything about the temperature for some reason. Also some staff are just unbothered and passive aggressive. And the seating is just terrible - no comfortable chairs, and sometimes not enough plugs. You're better off in a cafe.Overpriced, you can find better co-working spaces elsewhere. Won't be coming back and glad for it.

TrustpilotBuyer Beware
Prior to move-in the staff were very nice and amenable to work with. We were from out of town and relied on their photos and videos to secure the space. Upon move-in there was flooding, our staff were asked to leave offices for carpet cleaning (that we were not made aware of beforehand), there appears to be a man living in one of the spaces, what appeared to be a 7 yo cleaning in the men's restroom, spray painting going on for 16+ hours over 2 days with no ventilation. The list goes on. We tried to work with the sales team to resolve the issue and exercise our right to cancel the agreement and they became non-responsive. I would recommend that you do not rent from Regus/Spaces.Edit in response to Spaces response below: please address the formal emails that our company has sent to your company regarding lease terms. Note to all other potential tenants, please be aware that no circumstance (in the eyes of Spaces) will allow you to exercise your right to cancel the agreement, and no reasonable remedy will be made to you. Offering another space at a different location outside of our stated area is not an acceptable alternative. The statements above are representative of our experience and the response that we've received from Spaces is an embarrassment.

TrustpilotHow disrespectful can you treat customers
We came here because of accessibility, full service and flexibility. Would we still do it? No, we feel like we're being captured here and as a ripp-off. The value for money is hard to find. The rental price for the same space has increased by more than 50% in 3 years while the office market is struggling. Management here would rather see a customer leave than sit around the table and keep the customer. Very curious whether new tenants will pay +/- €5000/month for 35 m². I wonder how many companies are still willing to pay this...and for years to come. To avoid discussions, the staff only communicates (and with a lot of delay) by email. I don't think Mark Dixon is close to it any time soon. Not his style

TrustpilotA Cautionary Tale
A Cautionary Tale: Why I strongly recommend against Spaces CoworkingI'm not the type to hastily post negative reviews. In fact, I usually keep my grievances to myself, as it takes quite a LOT to ruffle my feathers. In fact, I dont remember last time rating someone as 1 star. So, I'm writing this review in the hopes that it might serve as a warning to others.Initially, my experience with Spaces seemed promising. Upon checking in, the staff were friendly and efficient, helping me with paperwork and processing payments without a hitch. The facility itself was decent enough, conducive to work and well-maintained.However, my positive impressions quickly soured once I checked out and attempted to reclaim my retainer. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a bureaucratic nightmare spanning four months. I was constantly shuffled between departments, dealing with a multitude of personnel, each asking for the same forms over and over again. There was zero accountability. There were zero issues from my side. There seemed to be a lack of accountability and standard procedures for retainer refunds. While they were more than eager to assist during check-in, their enthusiasm vanished when it came to returning my retainer. The endless back-and-forth via email, coupled with apparent confusion among the staff, was not only frustrating but also time-consuming. It's kinda, I dont even know how to explain this. A simple straightforward procedure. Messed up to epic proportions. At this point, the effort and time I've invested in trying to retrieve my retainer have far surpassed its actual value. Initially, I persisted out of principle. I persisted for 4 months. But now, I've decided to let it go, conceding defeat to the stress and inconvenience this ordeal has caused me.I urge caution to anyone considering Spaces, especially travelers seeking a coworking space. If getting your retainer back is important to you, you might want to look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I hight recommend against spaces. Please save yourself the trouble and headache.
