RSK Ealing Lettings... Beware

I would not give RSK a one star, but had to in order to post this review. We had been renting with RSK for three years overall. We had to surrender our tenancy early due to personal circumstances. We confirmed a date to end the tenancy. During the showing for new prospective renters, they didn't provide 24 hours' notice and added additional viewings and stuff like that. That was the first red flag: a real lack of communication. Anyway, new tenants agreed to rent the property. Subsequently, the termination date we had initially agreed upon verbally had been extended by three additional days (this meant three more days to pay rent). There was a bit of back-and-forth and some condensing conversations with the entire Lettings team in the Ealing branch.Suddenly, a week before the tenancy ended, they sent us an Early Termination invoice and were told it needed to be paid immediately. We, of course, knew about the Early Termination fees, but the need for more trust about payment felt bizarre. So, we left the property and paid invoice in full prior to our departure using on the new termination date as stated. We were made aware by both the landlord and RSK that the new tenants would start their tenancy the next day after our departure. It has taken us until now to get our security deposit back. We had to utilise the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. RSK informed us that they wanted to deduct the cost of a "Deep clean." We said, of course, but can you provide a quotation before we confirm the final costs? We were never contacted again, nor were we relayed any quotes for work. We had to chase both our Landlord and RSK for the return of our deposit and not received even a holding response from either. About nearly six weeks after our claim with the TDS, we received a call from the Ealing branch asking us to go "halves" on the cost of the cleaning. How can we go halves on something where no evidence has been provided that occurred? No invoice or any documentation was provided to the TDS either within their agreed timeframes. Therefore, requesting to deduct a figure from our deposit for something that has not happened feels immoral, unethical, and untrustworthy to say the least. I would not recommend using them to sell or let your property. But if you do, get everything you discuss and agree in writing. Or give a different Estate Agents a try with your custom, you may be surprised.

I contacted this agency to ask for details about a property I was interested in purchasing. During the conversation, the receptionist hung up on me in the middle of the call and then hung up several more times when I tried to call back. On top of that, the information she provided was incorrect and misleading, which could have seriously affected a purchase decision. I would not consider this agency trustworthy for property buyers, and based on this experience, I also would not recommend it to property sellers.

Exteremly Poor Service Quality

The lift is not working for 8 months of the year, and they promoted a 6th-floor flat without letting us know. They are not contacting building management properly, and the building management company is only accepting requests from the RSK side. Their staff are not doing their jobs, their service quality is extremely poor, and they lie easily and without blushing. Their existance is a mistake.

Ishaan was brilliant! I had mad a long journey for a house viewing but we weren't able to gain access. However wven though we ran into trouble with the viewing, Ishaan was able to quickly sort out a few nearby viewings and show me around the area. Ishaan gave me some advice on navigating my move and provided me with some knowledge on tennancy agreements that I wasn't aware of. He also gave me a lift back to the station, great service from him. Avoid at All Costs, Unfair and Unprofessional

I would strongly caution anyone against using RSK. Throughout my tenancy, I followed all proper procedures and reported maintenance issues, including during their routine six-month inspections. Despite this, they are now trying to deduct part of my deposit for a problem I had already reported. When I requested the inspection reports, documents they are relying on to justify these deductions, they flatly refused to provide them. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable and shows how little regard they have for tenants’ rights. Their handling of deposits is unfair, and their staff appear either incompetent or unwilling to take responsibility. I have no choice but to escalate the matter to TDS and would strongly advise others to think twice before renting through this agency.
