Dear Drilon, Please note, when we pre-vet tenants prior to booking any viewings, we make it clear what the criteria will be for taking the property they are inquiring about to avoid wasting peoples time if they can not meet it. We then try and ascertain if a cheaper alternative can be offered that fits each applicants means. You were advised of the criteria & you clearly stated that you could meet & exceed the financial requirements but when you attended our office, decided to let us know at that point that you could NOT meet the financial criteria but not to worry and it would be ok. Unfortunately we can not just take your word that you will be ok. Had you have mentioned at the begin that you could not meet the criteria set out, we would not have got you to come to the office & would of tried to look at an alternative property that matched your affordability. We are very clear with the requirements to all prospective tenants to avoid wasting everyone’s time but to equally assure you that we do not put people in situation of financial jeopardy by taking a property on at a rent that is unaffordable for them. To say we have acted unprofessionally is very unfair & inaccurate & had you been honest about your position from the start when asked, would not have wasted your time. Good morning Tony, Sorry you are experiencing issues BUT I must admit that I cannot locate your name on our system or database. As you maybe aware there is a new legislation about to come into affect from the 25th May called GDPR, and we are in the process of calling all our applicants to ask if we are allowed to store your details for property services. We will never sell or give out your information to third party companies. The reason why we would have been trying to reach you is because you may have registered your details with our agency based here in North London, Palmers Green, looking for a property to rent?. If you had answered the call then this could have been avoided, or is this a scam I have to ask? I can confirm we are NOT a scam but genuinely trying to get ready for GDPR.
