I viewed a property on sale with Oaks and once I had sent in the request they got back very quickly. I met Dorian at the property who showed me around and he was very nice, informative but also gave you space to look around on your own. I made an offer on this place and then dealt with James and Gabriel who were great. Oaks were very helpful with the exchange and completion process often helping in communication between myself and the seller. We liked Oaks and preferred them over an online agent and a chain agent. Oaks are personable, courteous and professional and know the local market very well. James, Dorian and Steven on the sales side sold our house within their valuation bracket and at a price we were happy with. Obviously, we did our "bit" too, ensuring the property was presentable at all times and welcoming to viewers. James also gave us very helpful advice on negotiating our onward purchase. After the sale, Oaks remained actively engaged until completion and Gabriel was always at hand to assist with any issues. My house in Glenister Park Road sold within a couple of weeks (I know of neighbours that were struggling to sell with other agents). Steve and Jasmine were friendly, extremely professional and knowledgeable, they listened to what I required, not once dictated to me, but offered great advise on how to move forward with putting my house on the market. Communication was 1st class, if I couldn't contact them, they always returned my calls/messages the same day. I also received constant updates on viewings and feedback from viewers comments. Once the offer was made, Oaks stayed on the ball for it to progress swiftly. My partner and I have just completed our purchase on a flat in Streatham from Oaks. The whole process with them was seamless from arranging a few different viewings to collecting the keys. The entire team has been so helpful and really responsive whenever we had questions. We sold our previous house with a larger named estate agents but it was actually the team at Oaks making sure everything was going through as quickly as possible. We found that our own estate agents were too busy to respond to ad hoc requests quickly whereas there was a real personal touch with Oaks, I felt like they genuinely cared about the purchase and we were not just another customer to get through. I would like to say how impressed my husband and I were with the service and attention we received from the Streatham branch. Our agent was Steven who we met 9 weeks into our search journey. We had some not so great experiences with other estate agents who were pushing or trying to convince us to buy/view homes that didn't meet our criteria. Steven made sure every home we viewed met our budget and criteria and within two weeks we found our first home. He was honest, very aware of the all the properties details/specs and supported us greatly through the negotiating process, which is a very nervous time for first time buyers.

Used to sell my late mothers property in streatham. After dealing with another agent who made little progress and received no realistic offers Oaks were on the ball and kept me updated. First sale fell through but through both processes kept me informed and chased the various parties on a regular basis to ensure no hold ups from our side. I truly cannot recommend Oaks Estate Agency highly enough. Without Gabriel and his team, their time, care, regard, effort, thought and sheer determination to help every person involved in the chain to achieve their dream of sale and purchase; I wouldn't be writing this review. Not only do they invest in the local community being residents and passionate about the area and it's growth, they invest in the properties they both buy and sell by communicating with everyone involved from legal teams to builders to local councils to buyers and sellers. After 10 months of trying to sell my house with other agents who all believed they would and could, but both over and undervalued the property and then showed it to people who simply didn't 'get it' (it had a vintage style), Gabriel just understood who would and said if he couldn't secure a sale within 8-10 weeks then it would probably be best to take it off the market and sit tight for 6 months or so. But he did secure the sale he said he thought he would and honest has been their by-word from beginning to end - so for that and more - I appreciate them. Thank you all at Oaks!

I had a non-standard sale to deal with which took 2 years from the time of initial valuation to actually being put on the market. The staff at Oaks, particularly Gabriel Okafor, were nothing but patient, helpful and understanding during this difficult time. Once the property was on the market, I was kept fully informed of viewings and any offers made and loved the fact that Gabriel was tenacious in keeping the solicitors on both sides on their toes so that delays in the sales process were kept to a minimum. At every stage I was made to feel that I was a valued and important client. Gabriel's friendly personality and totally professional attitude have restored my faith in estate agents!

I'll be candid and say I generally don't hold estate agents in high regard. James and Pavines @ Oaks Streatham changed my view. They knew exactly the type of buyer who would be interested in our property, got them in quickly and got us a sale we are very happy with. Landlords stay away from this agency

If you are a landlord, avoid these cowboys at all costs. They will only place desperate people into your property. They will change contracts to suit tenants and when you query why their tenancy agreement does not cover basic (damage to property), they ask you to pay their solicitors to put clauses into their contract; something which all the other agencies cover. They promise you the world until they advertise your property but then will give you lie after lie by getting 5 different people to email you; this is just to try and confuse you!. They charge tenants extortionate fees, although they cannot deliver in finding them a property to live in. They put you in a positions, where potential tenants who come to view the property beg you to either take them or ask the agents to return their money.

Oaks Estate Agents are independent, honest, reliable and give you impartial advice. Their sales commissions are very competitive and good value for money. I strongly recommend them specially if your property is based in South London. The sales team is excellent and in particular Steven Camera would keep me an update on a weekly basis.
