GoogleThe initial process to viewing and renting house was very smooth but as soon as moved into the property the service was absolutely horrendous and very stressful. Simple requests were refused, we had to chase for weeks and weeks for basic safety/maintenance items to be done that Leaders told us on day of moving in that they wanted to fix. On asking if we could safely store the landlord’s lightshades as we were bumping our heads on them (and to use our own) our property manager told us ‘no’ and that we shouldn’t have rented the house if they were going to be a problem even though they weren’t in place when we viewed the property! We fed back to management several times on our various issues and they couldn’t care less. I would NEVER use Leaders again.

GoogleAs first time landlords Jenny guided us through all the steps we needed to take and was generous with time, advice, and support, even before we'd signed anything that guaranteed Leaders as our agents. Selwyn and Michael handled our negotiations, working into their free time at the weekend to get things settled. Our property went on the market on Wednesday, we had five viewings on Saturday morning, and it was let that same day. We would definitely recommend Leaders so far!

GoogleFantastic experience with Leaders Forest Hill thus far and confident that this will continue. Selwyn has assisted us with any issues that we have had in a prompt and helpful manner. He managed to negotiate some furniture for us and has since been on hand to ensure this is delivered and set up quickly. His response along with the rest of the team has always been really warm and attentive and they come back quickly with solutions not push backs. Would recommend for sure!

GoogleLeaders were extremely helpful through out the whole letting process. As tenants, they provided us with every scrap of information we could possibly need and were always there to answer questions when needed! Selwyn in particular was brilliant, he made sure the whole process was as easy as it could be and went as smoothly as possible. Since moving in, again they've always been there to answer questions when needed and are always pleasant to deal with. Couldn't recommend them more.

GoogleFrom tenant perspective - worse than an average agency in London, which actually needs some effort to achieve, although any agent will treat you like garbage once (or even before) they get the money. Incompetent, not caring, rude. For the money they charge it should have been unacceptable, but it is a standard. Do not expect anything - in fact expect them to make your rental troublesome and gruelling. Avoid at all cost - please, please - they don't guarantee you anything and will wash their hand off clean on first sign of trouble. Especially when the money changed hands. Tenants beware - I cannot stress this enough - they can't even provide a working monoxide detector for weeks after we moved in. The inspectors are rude and make you feel like a beggar. They allow landlords to ignore tenants completely in properties they manage. They don't care about anything but their own good. You have been warned.
Hi Marcin, many thanks for taking the time to leave us your honest feedback. We are disappointed to hear that you feel your experience with our Forest Hill branch did not meet your expectations. After making contact with the branch on this matter, I understand you faced some inconvenience when requesting for the property to be decorated, to which the landlord declined. Unfortunately when the landlord rejects these requests, as it is essentially their responsibility to carry such works out, so there is nothing at all we can do as it is solely their decision. I apologise for any issues this may have caused for you. I also understand that you have been facing some issues within the property during the recent months, including shower fittings that need fixing, blinds that you requested to be replaced, a Carbon Monoxide alarm, as well as the gas hob ignition button not working correctly. The branch have worked extra hard to ensure all of these are looked into to minimise any inconvenience on your side. As I understand it the Carbon Monoxide alarm has been provided, the shower fixings quote sent directly over to the Landlord for feedback and the request to have the blinds replaced was unfortunately declined by the Landlord which as I mentioned above, is out of our control. The gas hob ignition button on the appliance was made aware to the Landlord, who has said that this is also something he is not willing to replace as the hob is still able to be ignited by an external source (ie. a match or candle lighter), and therefore not faulty. He has confirmed that this appliance remains safe to use. Again, we apologise that this was beyond our control and for any inconvenience caused. I understand that you have conversed with both the property manager and the head of property management this week to express your concerns on this matter, who are both keen to reach a resolution with you. I hope this information helps to clarify, however should you want to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to contact your property manager.

GoogleIf you want to be connected to unscrupulous, unethical & frankly dishonest landlords this is the agency for you. We were introduced to a landlord via Leaders that accepted our offer to rent their property and happily took our holding deposit to secure the house. Unbeknown to us the same landlord listed their property with multiple agents, 6 days before we were supposed to move in they accepted a higher offer. Thank you Leaders!

We always want to deliver the highest level of service to our customers and it’s a shame that you feel we haven’t been able to do this for you. I’ve had the opportunity to speak with David Lewis the Branch Manager about your comments, he has mentioned that you were undertaking an application for a property and were referenced as per our standard process, sadly while processing your application the Landlord decided they didn’t wish to proceed with your application any further and instead began to market their property with another agent Mann and Co. We can appreciate why you’d be disappointed due to your move falling through so close to the scheduled start date of the tenancy but feel it important to highlight that all tenancies are subject to contract and receipt of satisfactory references so there would have been no guarantee the tenancy would go ahead until the tenancy agreement had been signed by both parties. It’s discouraging for us that the team at Forest Hill have received this review and low star rating as feel the circumstances around the let falling through had been beyond their control, we can only offer our apologies for any disappointment that’s been caused because of this and hope the above helps provide some clarity.
