Horrible experience. Contract signed and deposit and first months rent paid, then on the day they change the contract and refuse to hand over the keys unless I sign the new contract. Made moving in to my new flat an absolute horrible experience (and an illegal one by the way)

Avoid John Payne - acorn completely Dishonest and Unprofessional I strongly advise against using Acorns Property /John Payne estate ! They have refused to return my £1,500 deposit for 51 Gilbert Close since January 3rd, 2025, and instead of addressing the issue professionally, they resort to gaslighting and deceit. The person handling my case, Georgina, is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and emotionally unstable. She snaps at tenants, dismisses valid concerns, and is clearly not fit for her role. Rather than resolving issues, she gaslights and makes the process as frustrating as possible. This estate agency is full of liars who do not care about their tenants. Save yourself the stress and go with a reputable, trustworthy agency, there are far better options out there! Avoid at all costs.
