You get what you pay for!

I was very pleased when I found that I could get my properties advertised on the main portals for a very reasonable price. I much preferred using my own time to do the work required to write a decent description upload photos etc. The advert generated lots of enquiries and within a few days we had our new tenant. Even when things went wrong with her checks it was easy to make the advert live again and again after just a couple of days we had a new tenant. You may ask why, if everything was so well I have only given an average score? I have contacted I am the agent 4 times to tell them I do not receive a notification email to say someone has made an enquiry. No one has got back to me and nothing has been done. I also have a property for sale and completely missed one enquiry /potential buyer because I didn't check my account every day. If this issue was sorted I would have recommend them 100%

Brilliant service!

We have used I am the Agent for renting out and selling our property. We have had lots of interest as a result of our flat being so widely seen on the web. Viewing requests came through swiftly. It is very easy to upload information to their site and I like the fact I can log back on to see the viewing requests other than just into my email box. I had to call them with a query and the phone was answered quickly - so all good! A brilliant concept and much cheaper than agency fees!

a really good experience overall

this was a really good experience because it put us totally in charge and we didn't have to pay commission to an estate agent. I never realised how easy it is to sell a house. i don't know why people even need estate agents for this. The negatives were small: they forgot to deliver a 'for sale' sign. Not that bad. I found it hard dealing directly with the purchasers when they were making offers. It would have helped to have a 'go-between' to act as a buffer between us but overall it was a good way to sell a house and i'd definitely recommend it if you want to save money and don't mind 'talking shop'.

A great service which allows the seller of landlord to pay a fair price for selling or renting their property

In the current booming property market of London I have always wondered how agents justify their % cuts on property sales, which can often only pass through their hands for a few days. The same goes for rentals.I am the agent passes the power back to the seller or landlord, allowing them to do the not-so-difficult job of photographing and writing about their property, after which with the help of I am the Agent, they can then turn this into an add that is viewable on the main selling and letting sites for the Uk. A great idea that levels the playing field- i am amazed no one did it sooner!

Great service , as good as high street estate agents and much much cheaper.

Easy to set up on line, `for sale` board quickly delivered. Viewings within a few days, 12 in all. 3 viewers wanted to buy, difficult decision but to be fair accepted first firm offer very near asking price.Local high street estate agents under valued my property by £5000.I supplied my own photos , arranged and conducted viewings and .achieved my asking price within 2 weeks.After looking at several on line estate agents I chose `I am the agent` , a lot cheaper than other on line agents. I will use again in future.

Quick sale, excellent communication and advice

I am the agent helped me to sell my property in under 3 weeks. I wanted to be in control of the sale deciding on offers etc and tried a local estate agent who wanted to charge 2 thousand pounds. I am the agent offered me a tailored service allowing me to do my own photos, viewings and negotiations on offers all for £299. They sent me a free for sale sign and placed the property on all the property portals so it had the best exposure. They also offered great advice. They offer different services dependent on your needs which I found much better than high street estate agents who allow you to manage as much as you want but always for the same expensive price. I received two offers within the same week and negotiated almost an asking price offer. I am the agent can also manage the viewings, photos, negotiations etc if you don't want to do this yourself. I've recommended this estate agent to my friends and colleagues and would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to tailor their own selling requirements. Selling a house can be difficult but I am the agent offered me great advise which helped me to sell quickly.

Cheap way of getting your property on Rightmove and Zoopla

As you know Rightmove and Zoopla don't let you sell your house directly. Iamtheagent let you do this for a flat fee of £395. You can even get a 'For Sale' board and photos for a bit extra if you want. You have to do the viewings yourself, but so what. People select through Rightmove and Zoopla, not a particular agent. The only point to consider is that conventional agents are no win-no fee. Here you don't get your £395 back if it fails to sell.(BTW Rightmove and Zoopla charge agents a flat monthly fee, so this firm do very well if they get a lot of customers, but I couldn't find a cheaper one.)

Great website, can always get hold of people to speak to if necessary too.

They're very up front about what you get and what you don't. It's not a full estate agent service, just a basic service for you to get your property advertised, then you do the rest (hence the title!). The website for uploading your ad is really good and flexible. You can amend it whenever you need. I also monitored some of the websites like rightmove.co.uk and checked it was succesfully syncing out my changes each time. I had lots of enquiries about the house, and their system for managing the enquiries works really well.It's 99.9% all done online, but once or twice I had to phone them and when I did I got straight through and they were very helpful. Also one potential seller said I hadn't contacted them (even though I had), so they contacted IATA directly to enquire, and they were quick to pass this onto me.

Good service though could be a bit more proactive

Everythings been very effortless and smooth with IamtheAgent from the start. I actually forget I am letting my flat until the statement comes in.The only thing I would say to improve the service is they could be a bit more proactive about demonstrating their value eg. carrying out a check on the flat and letting me know everything's in good order. Although may tenant seems very sensible and I'm not worried, I haven't had any word of it's condition since I rented it. A few little things like this to show I'm on not just on their mind at renewal time would be good.

Absolutely over and above for the money

We've used the team a couple of times for a property sale and several rentals and I can honestly say they went over and above on the service. We get a call immediately when placing every order, we get a board, comprehensive valuations, property performance, photos, texts and more along the way. It's half the price of other agents and no hidden costs, I have used most of them and believe me you can't get anything more than a call centre at best. I have recommended them to many friends and will continue to do so.

Superb service at an amazing price!

We recently put our flat up for rent with I Am The Agent. I was a little reluctant at first to use an online estate agent but when I compared the price to the high street agents, I thought we would be mad not to give it a try. All my reservations were proven wrong from the start. It was so easy to add our property and upload the photos and enquiries started the very next day. Once we found a tenant, I was initially nervous about handling the next steps. Again - proven wrong. I Am The Agent guided us through each and every step answering all my questions by email along the way. References, Gas safety, Contracts - all done so easily and at a fraction of the price of what we were quoted by high street estate agents. I can honestly say I think online estate agents are the future and will be recommending I Am The Agent to all my friends!

Expect more from a service we pay for.

We chose not to directly manage our property as we wanted an arms length relationship with any tenants, but more importantly to ensure they had a dedicated way of always contacting someone should they need anything during their tenancy (having rented via an awful agency ourselves once, we wanted them to have a better experience with our property). As it turns out, we usually have to chase for replies, have had to correct documents you issue and had no choice but to simply put up with our itinerary report not being fully carried out. Wouldn't recommend.

Very easy and helpful

I researched a lot of on-line Agents and compared services offered against price and I can honestly say that I have not regretted choosing I Am the Agent. The website is easy to understand unlike other competitors and simple to use. Uploading information was straight forward. They even phoned me up to tell me that their price will increase shortly, but as I was not ready to go live I could still secure the current price. This was followed up with a very nice phone call and the offer to send a For Sale board out in order to be readily available. So far they could not have done more and I am looking forward to go live and sell my property with I Am the Agent.

A great company that enables the landlord or seller to cut out the over-priced middleman

I think the very conception of a company such as this is brilliant, and long overdue. Everyone should be able to decide whether they want to pay more or less in selling or renting their property, depending on the level of service that suits them. For example, plenty of people do not want to give away a % of their house sale proceeds for a job they could do themselves. The website is easy to use, and it's easy to put up your property for rent or for sale. I would highly recommend using I am the Agent to everyone.

In control and lower costs

I am delighted with the "I am the agent site". We no longer have to deal with expensive lettings agents. Our savings are significant. We place the add on the site ourselves using pictures and narrative of our choice. The user interface is simple but powerful. Within 24 hours we are also on all the mainstream sales and lettings portals. We deal with the enquires and viewings directly and basically are in control of who we choose as our new tenants. If we need to modify our ad then the process is quick and efficient. Our new tenants also prefer dealing directly with the landlords, not least as it saves additional tenancy fees for them. All in all a more satisfactory experience for all parties.

Good system and service

We use I Am The Agent and it's a great way to advertise widely via one portal and is cost effective. The service from their staff has been quick, efficient and helpful. The one improvement they can make - which would help us a lot - is to ensure ALL phone numbers are forwarded with an enquiry. If you just email a reply a lot of Enquirers do not receive it as it gets filtered into their 'Junk' mail as our email is unknown to them. If all genuine enquiries HAVE to include a phone number it might also filter out the 'time wasters' who press an 'interested' button and probably think it bookmarks possibles - when it actually generates an email. We get 20 -30% of these

Extremely Responsive and knowledgable team

I let my flar through I Am The Agent. I also chose to ask them to manage the flat for me. I had been relying on a traditional estate age mnt to rent it out but there had been barely any viewings. Within hours of being up on IATA I had about a dozen requests for a viewing, I booked them all into one block as they suggested, and I let it in one quick go! The tenants were a bit of a problemu and they have been amazing keeping the impact of their requests away from me whilst keeping them happy and pating their rent on time. I cannot recommend them enough.

Professional service at the fraction of the cost of a traditional agent

I have used 'I Am The Agent' to market my property on 2 occasions now and highly recommend the service. I paid £299 for each property I sold, rather than several thousand pounds, which is what it would have cost had I gone the old fashioned route with a traditional agent. They even provided me with a professional photographer at a reasonable extra cost, which was well worth the investment as I wanted my property to look it's best to attract a potential buyer. All in all a great service, and half the price of other online agents that I checked out before opting for this one!
