Not sure who smanchet is, or what "barrow boys" are, but I can only say that my experience with Helliwell was fantastic. I dealt with Josh directly who made my life incredibly easy in selling my uncle's property in Ealing. Josh and his staff were very professional and hospitable throughout. They had no hesitation bending over backwards to make sure I was happy and I really appreciate that in a business.

Warning to anyone looking to rent with Helliwell. We took the first viewing possible for a flat to rent, and immediately sent in an offer over the asking price. Two days later and we followed up to see if the landlord wanted to accept our offer, when the agent informed us they were holding our offer till the following day so they could do multiple more viewings and send all offers off in one go. I highly suspect they used our offer to encourage other potential tenants to offer more than us, as this had been done to us at a previous viewing with Helliwell.

Regrettably, I did not purchase in Ealing in the end, as I'd hoped I would. But I feel it is so important to offer Joshua from Helliwell my sincere gratitude for his expertise, professionalism, and kindness throughout the time I'd considered buying in the Ealing/Northfields area. SCAMMERS! AVOID these unethical timewasters.

Rented a property from Helliwell for 11.5 months. Got electrocuted while living in one of their properties and the agent didn't fix the issue or provide certification when asked. An electrician fixed the extractor fan which was never wired correctly and made the bathroom light switch live, an issue which continued to happen after repair. There was also an open staircase and missing hand rail so we had to move out, because my wife was pregnant and it was not worth the risk continuing living there.The agent was completely unsympathetic and found a new tenant to replace us 11 days before our tenancy officially ended. We had the property professionally cleaned, better than the bad state it was let to us, and took photographic evidence of each room before we departed.The Agent charged us around £900 out of our deposit for early termination, even though there is a new tenant moving in the next day so the landlord was not at a loss. Helliwell profiteering from situation.

The Agency did not give all the Information, we found out after weeks the Flat we were interested in buying was not with one owner as we initially were informed but with several ownership. If we did know about it we would not have placed an Offer. The Agent did not follow up, we did not know what was going on with the saler for weeks, we had to chase him every time for updates. And the funny part is when I went to pick up the keys, the man made you wait outside. Wow nice way to do business, 100% will NOT be using them any more.--

Bought and sold our properties through Helliwell at the same time and they made the whole process really smooth. Josh, Simon and Josephine are super nice and helpful and went the extra mile, not only for us but for everyone in our chain they were dealing with. They were honest, reasonably priced and contact was great. They were quick to reply and deal with issues and they always kept us all in the loop. They also helped us establish friendly relationships with both our seller and buyer which made the actual moving process very smooth for us all. I would thoroughly recommend them.
