Withheld my deposit
Withheld my deposit. I left the place cleaner than I found it. Difficult and unprofessional in the checkout process. Shame as prior to that Jack and Julia were very helpful.
Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear your feedback and would like to assure you that we absolutely would never withhold a deposit if an agreement between Landlord and Tenant has been made. We would like to look into your experience further and invite you to contact customercare@hamptons.co.uk with your full name and details who can then look into this further

Can I just say how easy it is to deal…
Can I just say how easy it is to deal with Hamptons. As a company they are polite, professional, very friendly, and get the job done with absolutely no hassle at all. Rebecca Hitchman has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to building that relationship on any/all future business.

Rude, disrespectful and arrogant.
The sales agent is extremely rude, disrespectful and messes us around. We had kept several days free in order to have viewings, and in the last minute, they said the viewings will not happen. On top of that, they promised to show us properties, and last minute had additional requests on what we need to provide them with - for a simple viewing only !
Thank you for leaving us a review, customer service is very important to us and we are naturally disappointed to read your feedback. We would welcome the opportunity to address your comments further and kindly ask you to contact customercare@hamptons.co.uk with your details so we can investigate. Thank you again.

Hamptons letting service
I have been letting out my property with Hamptons using their fully managed service. I spend a lot of time abroad and have peace of mind that both, the house and the tenants are being cared for. Amelia, who is dealing with the maintenance issues is proactive, efficient and professional. She managed major works at the property in between lettings efficiently and has a keen eye for detail. The rest of the lettings team at Hamptons are all knowledgeable and good people to deal with. I highly recommend them to any landlords.

Highly recommend our local Hamptons
We have rented three substantial family homes through Hamptons, our first being in Marlow in 2009. We are moving again, thanks to the wonderful team at Hamptons who found us a lovely new rental (due to current landlord deciding to sell) and I wanted to take the time to thank the team at Hamptons for all the fantastic service we have had for years at our current rental. In particular, thank you to property manager, Mandy, who has been amazing and has the best executive function skills of anyone I have ever met. Mandy never failed to respond to me the same day if we had issues, always polite, interested, and thorough...just how Mandy juggles all these jobs for different properties with communicating with landlords, tenants, and contractors I will never know, but she does so effortlessly with professionalism and seems to thrive on it. All the Hamptons tradespeople Mandy hires are also all so very nice, accommodating and respectful about entering our home that I don’t mind at all them coming over, and they all sing Mandy's praises too. Having in the past rented with other real estate companies, as well rented owner-managed properties, when we had to look for another rental, we were actively looking for Hampton properties so we could stay with Hamptons and continue to have our rental managed by the amazing Mandy. Thank you also so much to Sonja and Maxine in rentals and Harleigh in accounts, who are all lovely and effortlessly and professionally manage the initial relationship between Landlord and tenant, with no request on either side too small or insignificant. What makes Sonja and Maxine in rentals stand out for us is, they understand that in the rental market, property is anything but bricks and mortar. For tenants, our rental property is our home, it’s the place we choose to invest in to live with our children and create life-time memories. For for landlords, their rental property is the, or one of the, most expensive assets they will own. Landlords also have a very diverse range of reasons for renting, for some it’s an investment, a cash cow for extra funds and they want to streamline the costs as much as possible, for others they are renting a treasured home for a period of time, and they want to be reassured that their home will be well maintained. Sonja and Maxine get all this, in fact I think they are the only real estate agents who we have rented with who do get this. Sonja, Maxine and Mandy all understand and respect these different perspectives and realise that one size does not fit all in the rental market; in this day and age of social media anyone can post details on Rightmove and help with signing the right legal contracts, but it’s the grey and unwritten bits in between that help make sure a rental relationship between the landlord and the tenant goes well. And it is this grey and unwritten area, mostly focused on good relationship building, where Hamptons excels the most. This continual relationship building is so important because with any business relationship, if all parties are happy than there is more give and take on all sides. Having been a landlord ourselves, I almost don't get why some real estate agents don't understand this...a happy tenant means a better outcome for their client, the landlord. Just one week of an empty rental property can make a huge difference to rental income, Hamptons builds positive relationships with both landlords and tenants so they have a database of happy tenants they know to be good tenants who they can draw upon and fill vacancies quickly. A happy tenant is also more likely to take better care of a property and they are also more likely to stay longer meaning the landlord will not have to readvertise their rental as often. So, from one happy tenant who are long-term regular renters, we could not recommend Hamptons and our local team highly enough.

One of the worst rental experiences! Avoid
I have recently moved into a property let and managed by them. One of the worst experiences in my 12 years of renting in London. There are several faults within the flat, which I reported at viewing and afterwards. I was told by Hamptons City London office that all issues had been resolved by their contractors prior to move in (they tried to push move in during lockdown but I thankfully managed to postpone till the restrictions had eased). Upon move in, not only was the flat dirty, but none of the repairs had been completed. They kept blaming the unfortunate covid crises, without any explanation of why they had then previously said that it was all complete. The cherry on the cake: property had been unoccupied for 4 weeks giving them ample time to resolve. They are now saying that since I've only moved in last week, none of these issues can be counted as having existed for long since the previous tenants didn't report. Seriously?! So now, not only do I have covid, work and move to manage, I now need to coordinate all of their repairs as well (so much for protecting myself through social distancing) and am already out of pocket to the tune of £400 (in addition to rent and deposit)! Thank you Hamptons!Update: I’ve now been moved in for 3 weeks and none of these repairs have been completed!!! And of course no contact from Hamptons to try to remedy the feedback.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are disappointed to hear that we failed to meet your expectations, we would be happy to look into your experience further, so please do raise your concerns with the relevant manage or contact our customer care team.

Amazing service is an understatement
We've been renting through the Hamptons for the past 4 years. Our contract was due to expire soon, and we were unsure whether to stay or find something else, possibly for a bit less money. It's been a super stressful 2 months for us, and we were unsure if we would be able to find something else on time. We've been dealing with our property managers, Patryk Lehmann and his colleague Darren Salmon. They were both extremely helpful and patient with us. They worked their magic to assist us, and indeed they did. Their massive help made the whole process super easy and stress-free for us. We were even able to stay at the same property. Absolutely amazing and outstanding customer service from both of them.

Terrible Agents
I bought my flat via Hamptons and later used them as management agents when letting it out but have had constant issues with them throughout. I really would avoid using them at all costs. I find my property manager incredibly lazy and difficult to contact. I regularly have to resolve issues myself and have to spell everything out to my property manager. Whilst my property manager was on annual leave I had a colleague of hers cover however she knew absolutely nothing about the property and tried to charge me for the tenants broken TV. They do not act in the interest of the landlord and look for the quickest fix to a problem to get it off their plate. I was charged £200 overall for 2 boiler safety checks that I was harassed into organising because “legally” they were required. I found out that these checks were NOT required by law because the boiler had just been installed and this lead to a delayed start to my tenancy. I received about 6 aggressive missed calls whilst I was at work from Hamptons to harass me into paying for these visits. Every minimum charge for a “recommended” tradesman to attend my property comes in at exactly £100 so Hamptons are uplifting these costs on top of the fees I pay. I really have very little faith in them and can’t wait for my tenancy to end. More recently I received a court summons notice for unpaid council tax that I was not made aware of because Hamptons didn’t send me any of the prior notices.

How Hamptons treated us...
AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! Still waiting for refund after almost three months! Let’s talk about how Hamptons treated us during the lockdown. We were set to move into a flat in Blackheath as the covid19 pandemic lockdown began and were not allowed to move due to imposed regulations. My partner has asthma so we couldn’t risk her health or life to move into flat in London at the time due to government restrictions. We told them the situation and after paying the first months rent and a 6 weeks deposit, total of £3650 approx, we had to cancel the lease and requested a full refund. They deducted several weeks from the rent refund though we NEVER received keys or moved in, and they have taken over 2 MONTHS to return the funds, which at this point was only the rent refund. We are STILL WAITING for the rest of our deposit back after 3 months now.... This company is absolutely vile for how they’ve treated us in light of the lockdown and pandemic and I cannot believe that while income and employment have been suspended, they’ve refused to return our funds in any sort of timely manner. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Deplorable.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are disappointed to hear that we failed to meet your expectations, we would be happy to look into your experience further, so please do raise your concerns with the relevant manage or contact our customer care team.

Ben Constantinou - Unprofessional
Ben Constantinou - Unprofessional, forgetful, unorganisedCanary Wharf BranchWe were ready to make an offer to rent a property. We emailed him an offer an hour after our viewing at noon. Then at the evening, I called him again to say yes we would like to make an offer. We were then told to wait for some offer documents that he said he was going to send me "in 15 minutes". Never received them and the property was let agreed the next day without a single notice to me. Only found out by myself by checking the Rightmove website. Still no notice/call or whatever the following next day to my partner whom he dealt with directly. Amazing service. Shame on them because I was ready to offer a price way above the asking price.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We have addressed this matter with Ben and unfortunately there seems to have been some miscommunication. Ben was under the impression from what was discussed on the viewing that you had other properties to consider and were interested in different areas to the one you viewed with us. Please accept our apologies for any confusion, Ben was expecting to hear from you after you had completed your other viewings but please do contact him should you wish to make an offer, he and the team will be more than happy to help.

They went above and beyond expectations and I’m 100% comfortable my property is in good hands. Thanks to Holly, Catherine, Angela, Bethany for your service and support.
