The Clapham Lettings branch, led by Andrew Walker and ably assisted by Charlotte Chamberlain and Giuseppe Martellone, have been incredibly supportive in finding my new tenant, who personally is a great fit for the property (loves it!), and has a great attitude as a new tenant learning the benefits and challenges involved during extensive refurbishment works by the larger estate. I pay Hamptons for finding and vetting tenants, and after I bought this property from the same office for BTL 25 years ago have not regretted having them select excellent and happy tenants. However, their property-management fees (and in this case the handover maintenance issues were non-trivial and had to be managed by me from overseas) are over-priced (5%pcm more than competitors) and should be reviewed; likewise (and I know both these issues are beyond the control of the excellent Clapham team) their IT systems - even leaving this review - can be a pain to use. Overall I have never regretted having Hamptons Clapham as my purchase and lettings agents, they have always been supportive and delivered more (on a personal basis as a long-standing client) than they are strictly bound to do as "find and bill a good tenant", but as a corporate entity I don't think that Hamptons allows them to deliver full property management at a reasonable cost. Horses for courses, you get what you pay for, but for what I pay the Clapham Lettings team led by Andrew Walker is outstanding value and highly recommended by this BTL British-currently-offshore landlord.

I had a great experience working with Michael. I randomly walked into their office and Michael was very welcoming and ready to listen. After we exchanged what i am looking for he kindly looked into his database and found an apartment. To a very next minute he was ready with keys and we were ready for viewing. I randomly walked to the office so was expecting the usual Q&A and then we will reach out in case there is something. Here i was pleasantly surprised to have apartment for view which i liked as well. She is always available by either phone or email. She acts professionally, politely and is very speedy to arrange solutions to issues that have arisen.
