Right from the outset, Laura who heads up the Lettings dept, was absolutely brilliant in providing plenty of advice, detailing the process involved and laying out the costs. Claire and Ben, both integral to the team, also provided regular updates along the way which provided the assurance that this was in the right hands. Hamptons helped me to look for a flat to rent in may. I walked into their office and within a day I had already seen two wonderful apartments. Very mixed reviews of this company. One particular salesman was incredibly unresponsive to our emails/texts/calls which lead to many issues: It took weeks to arrange our initial viewing; he made promises about the flat that were not complete when we moved; our right to rent checks only got completed when he went on holiday as his manager was then dealing with them; and finally he took over a week to deliver our second set of keys to us which should have been at the property when we arrived. Hamptons as a company need to sort out their internal policies as the flat we moved into needed a fair amount of work doing to it that could have been arranged and completed if they had left 2 weeks between tenancies. We unfortunately felt it was all about getting our money as fast as possible which led to an incredibly short turn around between tenants and lead to my girlfriend and I living with no washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher for nearly a month and in a flat with filthy furniture and walls that we'd been told by the salesman would be sorted. Luckily for us, Hanna our property manager, was able to sort all our issues and turn the property around, whilst also remaining very patient with us despite our sending of many emails. She also arranged for a small reduction in our first month of rent due to the inconvenience. It's a shame I can't leave 2 reviews because she really shouldn't have had to work as hard as she did, and our many days of correspondence should not have been necessary.
