GoogleCouple of years ago I rented flat through Galloways. It surprised me how fair play attitude they had. They were making sure that landlord has to offer quality. They are very friendly, helpful and professional. You can ask as many questions as you want. They don't rush and never give you this condescending attitude that is very common among estate agents. I hope that one day they get a national recognition. They should be an example of how good estate agent can be with right principals.

GoogleWe bought our house through Galloways and had an excellent experience: contrary to our experiences with other agents in the past, the team was honest & straightforward, communciation was always prompt & clear and Steve and team were always very helpful in answering questions and pushing the transaction along to a smooth, sucessful conclusion - which is just what you want when you buy a house! Would most certainly recommend Galloways to anyone locally.

GoogleWriting a review for a sale Galloways handled back in February. They were helpful and professional throughout and Jon and Ryan did a great job marketing the flat and finding a buyer. Special mention must also go to the branch manager, Steve, who got the sale across the line right at the end when things were looking tricky. GoogleWe had a bad experience with another local estate agent who overvalued our property, meaning it didn't sell. Galloways were realistic in the value they gave for our flat. This meant it sold within a few weeks, even in a buyers market. Trustworthy agents, who provided us with sage advice.

All the team have been great this year in selling my house, taking the stress out of what could have been a very stressful year. GoogleI've so far let two properties through Galloways and found them to be far superior to other estate agents that I've worked with. They take the time to communicate thoroughly, they are patient, and they do the very best job they can. I'm very glad that I've found them and would recommend them to anyone considering renting out their property. They are particularly good with those who aren't 'weathered' landlords, and offer frank, practical, assistance throughout the letting process.

FacebookI recently purchased my beautiful new flat through Galloways and was very happy in my dealings with them. I had been searching for a property for over a year and engaged with many estate agents during that time, some of whom were pushy and dishonest. But not so with Galloways. I found Jon to be genuine, friendly and courteous (as well as patient - i viewed the property 3 times with various friends and family members before making an offer, plus other visits in run up to completion), efficient in his handling of buying process and our questions and overall a pleasure to deal with. I would gladly recommend and potentially use again.

FacebookI find Galloways quick to take your deposit and rent. Property we moved into was never decorated and in need of a good refurb. When we decided to move out, they have attempted to take a big proportion of our deposit due to property needing to be painted which the landlord should absolutely cover given that it was never painted In at least 3 years! To make matters worse they are looking to charge for smoke alarm which was already fitted for £100!!! Madness right?? It doesn’t end there, the property was supposed to be cleaned and charged us for it and the tenant has mentioned that it was never deep cleaned! I would be VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE COWBOYS AS THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO TAKE YOUR DEPOSIT AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT.
Dear Alex, we take all of our reviews very seriously at Galloways. Therefore a director has looked into this case. I'm afraid your review doesn't tell the full story. You entered a property and didn't declare introducing a pet dog during that tenancy, as a direct result this caused damaged to the flat. We have photographic evidence taken by a third party professional inventory clerk. You were given the opportunity to rectify these issues yourself, prior to vacating the property. Unfortunately, you chose not to. Therefore the landlord has instructed us to propose charges to cover his costs. All of the quotations from third parties contractors/companies have been provided to you. If you are not in agreement with those charges, then you have a legal right to challenge these costs with The Deposit Protection Service. Galloways do not make these final decisions and certainly make no profit from deposit claims. Trust me when I say, we would much rather not be going through this process at all. It cause stress and upset for all those involved. I'm sorry you feel this way.

FacebookIn selling a house in a very poor condition on behalf of a poorly relative we approached Galloways to assist. Steve the manager came round and was very professional and helpful in his approach to what was described as an 'Interesting Project' The team worked diligently to sell the house and also kept a close eye on the property and forwarded mail to me as i live quite a long way away. It took a while to sell the house due to a lack of buyers confidence - Brexit, however the right buyers were found and have moved in. The family cannot thank Galloways enough for their efforts and i would highly recommend them to anyone else.

GoogleGreat result selling my mother's flat with the team at Galloways. A tough property to sell, I was kept informed throughout, and they were very supportive to get things moving along when it was critical. Have known the team for nearly 17 years having bought our current family home with them. Great team, highly recommended!

GoogleI too cannot fault my experience with Galloways. They found a buyer for us very quickly and without their relentless hard work I fear the chain we were in would've fallen through on more than one occassion. We were always kept well informed and the communication between them and rest of the chain was always communicated back to us. One of the most frustrating things about buying a house is not being kept informed as to what's happening. This didn't happen. We didn't have the biggest most expensive property on their books, but Galloways made us feel just as valued as if we were selling a stately home!
