The first flat he showed me perfectly matched my search criteria, and I ended up choosing it to rent. Asim also helped with my references and promoted me to the landlord as the best candidate. When I met Adam O’Leary, I was more interested in letting out our flat again because our current sales agents both wanted me to drop the asking price by more than 15% “due to market conditions”. I was told the market might recover within 2 years! So it was just hoping for good tenants. Adam was sure he could help sell it and practically begged me to let him show the flat to some of his buyers. His earnestness convinced me, we listed with Foxtons at the original asking price and before it even appeared online we had our first offers. Within a week we had a cash buyer at asking price and a day or two later a second offer that well exceeded it. Just phenomenal work. While getting and accepting the offer was lightning quick, the conveyancing process was anything but. However, Adam and Ryan were brilliant and professional throughout - very communicative, very patient with my often exasperated tone, explaining very clearly what the hold ups were and what we could do to help move the sale along. When we finally completed we got together for a drink to celebrate. Thanks again Adam! I’ll recommend you to everyone and will be back when I’m looking to buy again.

I had a really poor experience with Foxtons after ending my tenancy early. My landlord and I agreed (as allowed in the contract) that I could leave early with no fees, but Foxtons made the whole process a mess from start to finish. When my partner dropped off the keys on 7 August, we were told to email someone about the deposit and overpaid rent (together over £4,000). After that, it was weeks of chasing, confusion, and being passed between different people, often getting replies after closing time so we couldn’t get hold of anyone. At one point they even sent me a letter demanding I pay out the rest of the tenancy for another year, despite my landlord confirming in writing that I didn’t owe anything. He’s been great throughout; Foxtons, on the other hand, couldn’t seem to communicate internally or keep track of what was agreed. It ended up taking over a month to get my money back, first my deposit, then my overpaid rent, after endless emails and calls. The whole experience was disorganised, stressful, and left me with zero confidence in them. I wouldn’t recommend Foxtons to anyone looking for a smooth or professional letting experience.

I was a renter through Foxtons Chiswick branch for 3 years - frankly I have lost track of the amount of things they were terrible at. Firstly, the letting agents and property managers we dealt with were consistently rude and inefficient, taking weeks sometimes to respond to household issues we raised through the portal, including large issues such as a leak or a blown in back gate which was a security risk, and whenever we chased this we were met with unbelievable levels of rudeness. I even had to reprimand our property manager at one point for repeatedly misgendering a fellow renter, even though we had informed her politely, in writing, of their pronouns multiple times. The Accounts department are also an utter joke, unable to do basic arithmetic - at one point we would get an email nearly every month saying our rent was 'in arrears' (it never was, we always paid on time and in full) with a totally random number attached; whenever we queried this, they would simply say it was a mistake and not to worry, only to have it happen again multiple times. It hardly inspires confidence when these are the people taking your hard-earned money every month. I could go on, but frankly we'd be here all day. I even had to chase them after moving out to release the deposit funds they'd agreed, to, simply because this hadn't been actioned. DO NOT RENT FROM FOXTONS. Not a single professional amongst them.

I was really impressed from the first day how well Adam presented his in-depth knowledge of the market and properties in the area but also how well he listened when he first visited the property. There was no rush in the visit and he and his colleague were quite happy to chat for some time - not always about the house but current affairs, sports, music etc which I thought was excellent. Foxtons recommended a solicitor to help with the process of selling, which ran so smoothly in under the 3 months it took from valuation to completion. Adam and/or his assistant Will would get back very quickly if I ever had a query, sometimes on the phone or text/email when I was at work. I found them professional, friendly, honest and so easy to work with from start to finish. Without a doubt the best experience I’ve had from any Estate Agents in 35 years.

We recently sold our flat with Foxtons. Previous to instructing them we had marketed the property with another agent for 6 months with zero offers. With the help of Adam (Branch Manager) we repositioned the property on the market and received a number of offers almost immediately. We had a great experience with Dominic who came to see the property before it being listed and was the one who landed us the offer which we accepted and completed on. Dominic was always at hand to help with queries on both sides all the way through to completion. Utterly unprofessional conduct by this office. They had myself and my wife booked for a flat viewing in Chiswick yesterday afternoon and the agent cancelled at the last minute and only after I got in touch to confirm the meeting on the day. We wasted our time and money travelling 2+ hours from/to north London. Their excuse? That the current tenant would be out of the property at short notice... This agent is incompetent in coordinating access matters with their clients and has complete disregard about the impact on our time and money. Totally unreliable - stay away!

Even though I will not rent with Foxtons this year, Rumi is an agent that is worth mentioning, and an agent that I would like to see in any branch or agency. Rumi is one of the most efficient agents I've ever seen. Always replying instantly to any voicemails, e-mails, also sending over videos and information, within minutes, knowing all the details to every single property. She tries to work ways around to make things potentially work, and personally, I really appreciate a problem-solving oriented person such as Rumi. Without any doubt a really valuable asset to Foxtons. A 5 star agent, without a single question.

Joseph found me the perfect flat. Since I was moving to London out of country I was worried I wouldn't find a place that suited my needs. However, Joseph took the time to find out what was important to me, what style I was looking for and what amenities nearby were priorities. He was in constant communication with me and was 100% honest with what he was showing me. Any time I had a question, he was there to answer it and made me feel confident about the move. Buying or selling a property is rarely an easy process, especially in the current market. However, if you want to ensure that you give yourself the best possible chance, then we highly recommend that you retain Adam O'Leary, and Dominic Best of Foxtons, Chiswick. Adam and Dominic marketed and sold our house, (this year) within three months of acceptance of an offer. Adam and Dominic were utterly professional, refreshingly respectful of both us and the buyer and their objective was always to reach completion. Their professionalism ensured that the objective was never lost but the process was handled with civility and we valued their guidance when we encountered contentious points. Adam and Dominic also had a strong grasp of the local and national property market which at times was fast moving. We always felt valued as clients with our calls returned in good time and their use of WhatsApp to update us or provide information was excellent. Adam and Dominic were also able to guide us as to certain services to ensure we presented our house in the best possible way by introducing us to Ćharles Okwuosa who heads up Foxtons’ concierge service. Again, Charles was extremely impressive, polite, responsive and once he understood our needs, able to recommend all variety of service providers, including decorators and staging professionals. Foxtons also provides a choice of Conveyancing solicitors for you to consider. We chose a solicitor from the firms recommended and this was of enormous benefit as both Foxtons and the solicitors respected and appreciated each other which ensured a united approach in representing our interests, resulting in an efficient and focused legal process. We recommend Adam, Dominic and Charles individually but we also recommend Foxtons for the quality of its staff and its clear desire to provide a full service to its clients which has clearly been thought through and the result of which is excellence.
