GoogleWould like to echo Ida L's review from 8 months ago. We lived in the same flat for 5 years under Foxton's management. Faults with the flat were left un-actioned even years after they were initially reported by us on their portal. Post-tenancy we were advised that because we had not instructed a professional clean (despite no explicit instruction on tenancy agreement?!), that we owed £300 to carry out a professional clean - this was deducted from our deposit return. I fail to understand how a one-bedroom flat require £300 to clean? Particularly when the only comments left regarding cleanliness related to an area of carpet, which was in-fact damaged at the time of our check-in (and evidenced by photos supplied on the check-in report). We were returned 75% of our deposit before agreeing a total amount, with 20% disputed and 5% agreed to be forfeited, meaning that 20% was left unprotected and held by the landlords. We decided to undertake the dispute process, which was incredibly tedious and arduous, but naturally the decision went in favour of the landlord and the 20% was lost, unfairly. If you want a stress free tenancy with an agency that acts in line with proper protocol for handling deposits, and who will be proactive in responding to tenant damage reports, I'd advise to stay well clear of Foxtons.

GoogleI cant believe i got Scammed by big property management. Please avoid! - Hot water broken fixed in 1 month! (no hot water for that period) - no compensation - Door lock broken fixed in 2 weeks (i cant lock my door for that period) - no compensation. and a lot of issues i had to fix myself, they are super unreliable and mediocre. I compared with my neighbour managed by other property management. He got everything solved in 1 day. If you think your deposit is save with MyDeposit, forget it. at the end of tenancy they will claim a lot from your deposit. They wont let you speak and discuss with Landlord, at all. They will push you to deadline so you will need to do dispute and deal with MyDeposit. It is crazy that even they include FAKE receipt for the wardrobe they claim broken, (in receipt it written white for actual brown wardrobe) they still win the dispute for all claims and take all the money. It is unbelievable how nowadays people do dirty for money.

GoogleAbsolutely the worst experience possible. The management of our property, or rather MIS-MANAGEMENT has caused us a significant loss of revenue over a 3 yr let. We were forced to pay for issues directly and solely caused by the tenant. Foxtons sided with the tenant at each and every stage even though the last 30 years of letting the property the same issues never occurred. Trying to get the property manager to return emails or phone calls is near impossible. The portal Foxtons are so very proud of has been wrong from day one, and trying to get them to fix it has taken 3 yrs, and is STILL wrong. Wish we had never employed them.

GoogleShoutout to Sam Toufique! He was very helpful and readily available whenever we had any questions or queries, even on weekends. He helped us secure the apartment we were looking for and kept us updated on every stage of the process. I was expecting the whole process to be stressful but he helped make it easy and straightforward. Overall highly recommend working with Foxtons- super reliable!

Foxtons - and in particular Oliver Steele, our estate agent - were fantastic throughout, from the initial viewings, to the offer, to then completing the purchase. Sofia in particular was a huge help - found us a property, got us a viewing 2 hours later and helped us secure the place the same night. Sofia was also super helpful with completing all the paperwork process and was always quickly available to answer any questions! Best, DP

GoogleTom Mawer is a fantastic agent! We struggled a lot in our search for a flat until we got connected with Tom. He was very diligent in finding flats that would work for us, which was incredibly difficult because we have 2 dogs. He was proactive in getting our offers to landlords as soon as possible and proactive with having our questions and concerns answered. Without his help, we'd still be struggling to find a flat!
