Malika has been an absolute star! She was incredibly responsive and attentive throughout the entire housing search and negotiation process. She went the extra mile by sending us new properties daily and always prioritized our needs. Malika was truly on top of it! She always made sure we had answers to our questions, even staying in contact during our negotiation when her car had broken down! I was hugely impressed with Foxtons on the recent sale of my flat where they replaced another agent who was struggling. From the very beginning Gabor/ Dominika were confident re the price they could achieve, selected a small but well qualified group of buyers, and then were utterly tenacious with all parties (buyer, both solicitors, even me!) to ensure the sale completed ahead of the UK budget which was a key deadline for me. I know they come at a premium, but the increase in purchase price achieved means it's a complete no brainer - I won't waste time with other agents in future.

Scam Artists I tried to buy a property from Foxtons which was a hybrid auction sale. The estate agent assured me in writing that the way the process works is that the fist buyer that is ready to purchase get to make a bid on the property. They also assured me that there was no other interest and that they would inform me if another buyer started the process. On the basis of this I paid for a lawyer, £1200, and started the buying process. I got to the point where I was ready to purchase but the seller had an issue evicting the tenant. They kept me on the line and then sold it to someone else. The first time I heard about the other buyer was when they exchanged. They mis sold the hybrid auction process and lied to me about the other parties. As a result I lost my legal fees and 6 months of my property search. Scam artists.

If you are thinking about selling a property through foxtons, I would advise you to think again. To say you pay such a premium, the service is abysmal. They do bulk viewings to make it seem like you have alot of interest, but in reality they take people on tours to view many properties and may use yours as a bemchmark for the good or bad. They waste your time prepping the property for people with no real interest. We also were told viewings were taking place, to then come to realise no one was even showing up. It was not until I called it out, that I was then told the viewing had been cancelled and they forgot to say. They would also forget to tell me if a viewing was booked, and often called me on the morning for access. Very unprofessional and very annoying. The final straw was leaving our property up on portals, even though we had agreed a date to take it down and our contract with foxtons was over. By this point we had assigned another agent, but foxtons were impeding on their work by leaving the old listing up and confusing potential buyers with conflicting info. A horrible, mismanaged company that I would never use again.

Really terrible property management. We rented a flat, and when we came to move in the place was disgusting. There were leftovers in the fridge, trash everywhere, and other people's personal belongings in our closets and shelves. It took three weeks for Foxtons to send over a "pre-tenancy" cleaning service. They refused to do a check-in, which is a clear breach of contract, and leaves room for a questionable check out and return of the deposit. Our property manager was rude, would tell us to "Google it" anytime we would come to her with an issue. Overall Foxtons is an irresponsible company, who does not care about the tenants.

Went to drop of a set of keys. The receptionist was welcoming. However I had asked by name for a member of staff whom I've never met before. This staff approached me without introducing themselves which I see as quite unprofessional to say the least. They seem quite unaware of other staffs in other branches. So let's see how we get on for me to change my ratings. Thank you Foxtins for the quick response, it shows you value your clients and your reputation. 😀

I would give zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs! Saw a place in October, made offer same day and paid deposit shortly after. Before we were due to move in and after we had already paid the deposit, we got an email from the estate agent, Phoebe, stating that our application was unsuccessful (not even a call or text). This was after several months of communication and despite asking, no reason was provided by Foxtons. Upon informing us that the application was unsuccessful, Phoebe refused to pick up any calls and was rude in text messages showing us that her nice personality had been a persona to sell us the flat. Now it’s almost Christmas and new years and we’ll have to struggle to find a place in time, otherwise we risk becoming homeless as our tenancy expires shortly. I will never go to foxtons again and I would recommend you not to. I was warned and didn’t listened but please, do not ignore the negative reviews - they are true!
