I met with Foxton and Aleksander and dealing with representatives of those companies left bad taste in mouth. Unprofessional and gave no reason to think of them as trust worthy. Banal excuses for being late or absent altogether. They reached out to me and pushed towards organising a meeting only to have little time and less attention while we showed up. I get this general vibe of insecurity and attitude of working their clients that are deemed easily directed. Deal with them if you like but remember my feelings when you start giving them benefit of doubt.

Skye McDermott is both a really lovely person and an excellent agent - she showed us around one apartment and was patient, knew a lot about the property and had checked simple things like council tax, electricity average costs and water on Zoopla - not a difficult thing for her to do but many agents I've dealt with don't bother. Selling my flat, it seemed like Foxtons had found me a buyer, but the guy changed his mind so often about his offer price, I'm pleased he ultimately pulled out. Foxtons aren't as bad as the reviews say, but are badly let down by a sales manager who rarely answers his phone. Of course, there's always an excuse (busy with customers , out on an appointment etc), but it became clear he's the sort of person who'd prefer to send an email when a call would answer the questions much faster.

I made the stupid mistake of responding to an advert posted by this company. I spoke to someone there regarding viewing the property and an outline of their fees. She said she would send me the details via email. She also asked for my phone number as it was easier to communicate. - I stupidly gave her both! The morning after I gave her my email, I received 7 emails from them before 10am. One email claimed, "thanks for signing up to our website". When did i sign up? I asked her to remove me from all mailing lists, and informed her I wasn't happy with all the emails. She apologised and said she had removed me. Today, I check my emails, guess what? Inundated with emails once again! Supposedly these emails are from a load of different people within their company whom I haven't spoken to! Alongside this, I'm receiving calls upon calls from them! Avoid. Avoid. Avoid this company! You'd be better off giving your details to a cold caller, they'll harass you less!

Extremely satisfied with my experience with Foxtons and my negotiator Kristina Simnova. I have had many bad experiences with agencies in London but as soon as i started working with foxtons and Kristina i knew i was going to be looked after by professionals who knew what they were doing. I walked into the office just before 8pm on a weekday and as oppose to shutting the door on me, Kristina sat me down, explained the search procedure, offered me a drink and actually listened to my requirement - all this was done with a smile. I truely belive she understood what i wanted better than I did!!! I was new to London so wanted to see a lot of options in different areas which she was happy to accomondate. She was very efficient and communicative, and subsequently came in on her day off and organised for me to be shown numerous options which all matched my requirements. Very happy with the dedication and the level of service received. Thank You

Foxtons provided me with a very positive experience. Although they were unable to find a place suitable for my needs and budget, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile to be reassuring and supportive. In particular, James, explained the situation clearly and offered to keep in touch if anything came up. Their fees are expensive, they charge a one time fee of £420 + other admin charges. Most of their properties tend to be higher, which is just fine for people with a bigger budget.
