Pretty sure they bait you with false listings that "just went!" to show you other properties that, unfortunately, are worse value and not represented by the one that prompted you to call. I realised bc I accidentally contacted several agents about the same property months apart, both gave different reasons for why it "just went today/yday!" And one excuse why it was cheaper than all the overpriced lets they were showing me contradicted the listing itself. They're nice and polite enough, but I still get sleazy letting agent vibes. Misinforming you so you think nothing in the area you want exists for your budget (literally been to dozens of viewings to contradict this...) They give free bottled water while you wait in the office though.

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical using Foxtons as I had a bad experience with them many years ago (renting, another agency). This time, 5 stars would not be enough! Markus (Foxtons sales) has been a great sales representative, he showed me different properties in one appointment, helping me getting a better understanding of what I could have bought within my budget. Super efficient! I would also like to mention Ahmed that has followed me step by step in the second phase of the negotiation. The agents tried very persistently to push us to sign a letting renewal starting in a few months from now before the 1st of June when the new improved legislation starts to apply. Had we signed we would not have been protected by the new rules. There are probably many clients who are unaware of the new law and fell for that. A very unethical move, Foxtons.
