I'm completing next week and moving into our dream property in W6, and from start to finish it will have only been only 11 weeks (plus we're in a chain) - I'm super impressed with the responsiveness, energy and execution of my seller's agent, Nathan at Foxtons in Shephards Bush. Moving is soooo stressful but Nathan reassured me when needed and also challenged the process when things needed a prod down the chain. I felt informed and looked after and - though I really don't have to sell and buy property again anytime in the next decade - I'd be really happy to work with Nathan at Foxtons again. Curtis at Foxtons was fantastic from start to finish. He made the whole process of finding and renting a property so much easier. Curtis helped me secure a great studio at a great price and was there every step of the way, from bidding through to finalizing the contract. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which really put my mind at ease. What really impressed me was his dedication, he was available anytime I needed him, even outside of regular hours, and went the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly. DO NOT RENT through Foxtons. More than £600 "stolen" in unjustified deposit deductions. Really shady practices. We rented a flat in Cranston Court (Shepherd's Bush) for 6 months while our house was undergoing renovations. Everything had gone mostly smoothly (as one would expect) until the time to vacate the property and get our depositi back came. The landlord (Sachin Rajja Basandrai) attempted to make substantial and unwarranted deductions from our deposit. He went back on his word from conversations we had before exiting the property and he used deposit funds to make maintenance purchases in the flat (issues that predated the lease). He justified the spenfing (which should have been his responsability), by stating a "cleanliness issue" (the flat was cleaner than when we came in as we had spent ~£250 on professional cleaning). We raised a claim with Foxtons to protect our deposit from this predatory behaviour, thinking that they were (as they should) going to act as a fair and objective intermediary between the shady landlord and us. Instead they burried us in processes, passing us over from one email adress to antoher and asking us to make a claim online... Which we did. Unfortunately, several months later, when nothing had progressed and I asked that now the issue be resolved, they just told us that "it's too late", that "we should have raised a claim before"... I couldn't believe my ears. I was stunned! Looking into it in details, the fine print stated that the claim shouldn't be made to them, but to an other company (mydeposit)... I could go further into the details of how the've all ended up getting away with it, but the fact of the matter is that the landlord extortionately took more than £600 out of our deposit. At the end of the day, Foxtons just allowed him to do so, proving that they value the stock that landlord untrust them with much more than the tenants who they rent the properties out to. AVOID

Moved out a month ago. According to the contract they have 10 days time to make any claims and return our deposit. No money has been returned. Email was answered once where they wanted to give the landlord more time, but after that they ignored us. Unrelated, but property was broken into last year and they promised to add banham locks, which never happened. Avoid like the plague if you value safety & trustworthiness.

I had the pleasure to start my home research with Natalin Simpkin and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the process. Right away Natalie was incredibly friendly and I really can’t say enough good things about her. As a first time homebuyer, I was not familiar with the terminology or the best process people to involve. Going in to the process I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and what buying a home is like, but it wasn’t “quite” as simple as I thought. Natalie may be the most patient person I know; she’s completely open to hearing what you have to say and continues to listen whole heartedly when the next day you’re saying something completely different. This isn’t her first rodeo and she seems to understand the flip flopping first time buyers go through. She seemed to always be available for my questions and sync ups when I was feeling under water. She helped me narrow down what kind of home I was looking for and was patient as I dragged her through dozens of properties. Natalie gave me excellent guidance, she is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, thoughtful, hardworking and incredibly generous with her time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends over the course of several months). She answered every question and explained every form and every part of the process clearly and thoroughly. I got a truly exceptional service right from the start of viewing potential properties through to identifying a solicitor and then after the purchase was complete Salim kept in touch and made sure everything was in order.
