This agency is so shady. They advertised a house using very old photos, and failed to mention that it needed renovation/modernisation in the ad. Two other agencies advertised it as well, but using only one photo (the outside) and they had mentioned it needed modernisation. When we then spoke with the agent over the phone, she mentions there was no flooring and no kitchen cupboards. I ask why this was not reflected in the photos; she says the photographer would take new photos and advertise them. When I follow up about the photos, I’m told they were not ready. The owners then decide to auction the house. When we get to our appointment, another agency was doing viewings and tells us Felicity Lord was decommissioned as the house was being auctioned. We still wait for the agent (who was supposedly 5 minutes late). 45 minutes later, no show, and she calls and makes up some story to explain the no show. Probably because they were decommissioned. Such disrespect for our time and effort.

Hey, have you heard the one about the local estate agent who managed to sell a family home in Blackheath valued at around £850k by every other reputable firm in the area, for just £680k? Or took £11.5k in fees for that legendary feat? No? Okay, how about the classic: they forget to write-up features like twin-room cellar or secure side-access, and write it up as the most basic, most bland terrace...and then accept the very first low offer that comes along? Well, how about the one where the owner of the house tries to ask the estate agent about the progress of the sale, waits two weeks for a reply and is finally told to ask the solicitor? Not heard that one either, eh? An estate agent who promises to get your house sold is nothing new. One who does it by selling it a clean £100k under market value? There's something fundamentally wrong there. But as always, do your own thinking and form your own conclusions when reading a review. They're rarely free of emotion, particularly where your home of nearly a half century is concerned. To start with, make a note of any good properties on the local market that Stuart and his gang are selling, then see how far below the median that they eventually sell for. You'll see a pattern emerging, where the least effort is put in at every stage, to the point their actions are as predictable and as badly scripted as the most unfunny comedy on ITV. And if you should agree to try them, you'll soon find that you won't be laughing a great deal either.
