Dior was really friendly and approachable. She kept in contact throughout the lead-up to the viewing we booked with her, making it very easy for us to know exactly where we were going, and to be able to reach her easily. She struck the perfect balance of being helpful and informed about the property, but also giving us the time and space to explore it ourselves. I would like to thank Barbany for his help and attention during our house searching process. He was professional, patient and very good at his job. He is clearly very confident and prepared to provide a great service. He gave us advice on the market for the areas we wanted to live and even drove us around to one of our viewings. We had an offer accepted for a different house and estate agent, so we didn't use Douglas & Gordon in the end, but Barnaby's advice was key in our process, so we are very grateful for his time. As a first time buyer l was very apprehensive about the whole conveyancing process so l tentatively rang up to test the waters. The property l was interested in was in Southfields, so l got the number and rang them. I was greeted by a very cheerful and polite negotiator called Alice Oaten. I explained my situation and my personal challenges understanding how things worked but she was the consummate professional, reassuring me every step of the way with an easy manner and exemplary attention to detail. What is so remarkable about Alice is even on our first meeting she created such a beautiful relaxed environment in order for me to express myself and allowed me to be open and be honest about all the reservations l had previously. Within 5 minutes, it was like you were catching up with an old friend and l was at total ease with the whole process. Alice is a shining beacon within an industry that gets a lot of flack and for someone like myself who was so nervous at the thought of even entering into an estate agency because of the reputation they have, she was perfect for me. Her real super power is her genuine warmth and sincerity as you don’t even feel as if you are in the process of buying a property but are having a casual catch up with a long lost friend. I was totally bowled over by her all round ability and in such tough times for us all, it is so refreshing to meet someone who genuinely is motivated and passionate to really help the buyer and to decipher any challenges with minimum fuss. Seamus was the first agent who has ever listened to me in terms of what I was looking for. Although we didn't get there in the end (I needed something fairly specialised), I thought he was excellent. I did a purchase through D&G previously and the agent did a good job. They must be using a different hiring strategy than many of the others. Knocked a star off in the end as their auto-mailer just kept sent me a whole bunch of properties that were not suitable but that wasn't Seamus' fault. It's always difficult to figure out which estate agent to go with when youre selling. It feels like a little bit of a gamble! The fee with D&G is slightly higher but most definitely worth it. Definitely the best agents I have used. Our experience with the team here was excellent from the first meeting. Jack, the sales manager, was speedy, honest and informative. He helped us decide what to do after being stuck without many viewings with other agents. Once we got them on board things changed for the better and we were getting good quality viewings. Special thanks to Seamus, one of the sales negotiators, who gave us feedback on viewings almost immediately after and then kept us updated. Would highly recommend.
