Alex Hunt has been exceptional in helping me find properties matching my requirement. Unlike a lot of other estate agents, he has a very measured approach for the viewing process. He is super accommodative and is thorough in all the details about the property. I have come across a lot of estate agents in the last few months and Alex is one of the few I met who stands out in their job and I can only speak from a buyer's point of view that he makes us feel that he is on our side, which is such a nice quality in a property sales negotiator.

Luke Thatcher helped me and my partner find our ideal property to let. From the second I stepped into Douglas and Gordon he was so welcoming and when I enquired about one property he kindly agreed to arrange a viewing for as soon as possible plus he told me of another property he thought would be perfect for us.... and it was! We jumped on the flat immediately and from that moment Luke was approachable, easy to contact, quick to respond and truly fantastic as a contact at Douglas and Gordon! She understood what my boyfriend and I were looking for and always suggested other properties which we may like, never once showing us something which wasn't right. She understood our priorities from the first meeting - something which other agents have failed to do. Our experience with Douglas & Gordon in Putney has been brilliant. Yes - they are undeniably more expensive than other agents, which initially made us really hesitant about choosing them. However, in this unpredictable market, my property went under offer within a month of listing it, and my husbands' actually went the very day it came on the market! So, in our experience, we really believe that particularly if you're looking for a speedy sale (which we were!), Douglas & Gordon are a great match. (If timeframe isn't a priority though, then perhaps another agent with a cheaper commission would have been better suited...) Lastly, in terms of our relationship with them, we received regular feedback calls/emails to ensure we were always kept in the loop. Our particular agent was an absolute delight and charming to speak with. Thank you so much for all your help!

After I found out that the seller had provided false information about the service charge in the website listing (at half what the figure actually is) I pulled out of the purchase. By this point in the process I had already accrued significant costs. Did the letting agent get in contact to apologise for the behaviour of the seller? No. Did they update the listing on their website with the correct information? No again. How could I possibly trust Douglas and Gordon again with any future property purchase.

Terrible service - the sales agent scheduled a flat viewing and then confirmed over the phone, however when we showed up there was no one. No respect to others people time! When I called the office receptionist first tried to pursue me the appointment was in a week only (which is a lie!) and then said the flat is under offer :) it’s not hard to leave a message saying the meeting is not happening, is it? At least this is how it should be (imho) when dealing with people and relationship with them is part of your business....

We instructed D&G after months of having our house on the market with another agent and within the first 3 days it was clear they were so much better. From start to finish the costumer service was impecable. The sales team are incredibly capable and provided prompt honest feedback after each viewing in less than 24 hours. The sales negotiator that managed the sale was an incredible professional. I feel so lucky to have counted with her expertise and her drive. The whole ordeal of selling the house was incredibly taxing for me emotionally as I did not want to lose on the house I was buying, her professionalism made a huge difference. I have been so impressed with the efficiency of Barnaby Adam which really prompted me to write a review. He always presents such an approachable nature, very professional and all questions are answered in a timely manner. From my personal experience, he operates well above and beyond the call of duty and is meticulous in providing all information requested - even a request for monthly rental on an investment came back in not just £'s but included the pence! That's what I call service. He obviously loves his job at Douglas and Gordon and I can clearly see his future managerial trajectory with the company.
