I took a chance on using Dexters to market and sell our property in Kennington and that choice really paid off. Selling a property during COVID has presented all sorts of new problems but the service I recieved first from Michelle K and especially from Davina was phenomenal. Davina's advice and guidance was what kept me stable when things went awry and helped ensure I was giving the right instruction and queries to my solicitor. I truly believe that without that help the sale would have dragged out for many more months. A first class service in my opinion and it was just part of the service. I would definately recommend Dexters to others and my top tip would be,...ask for Davina.

Was hugely sceptical about hiring an agent, but Dexters worked tirelessly for us, from going to market to completion, the entire team have been truly exceptional. We interviewed a number of agents but took a liking to John as he was by far the most astute, realistic and honest of all of the people we met. The consideration and attention he gave to us was replicated by the entire team we dealt with, Nathan, George and Michelle were diligent and utterly dependable with their communication while scheduling and conducting viewings. After going sale agreed, Michelle and Davina went above and beyond to keep the sale progressing, and as things came down to the wire they worked with both solicitors on our behalf to ensure completion happened on time. I can't even begin to summarise how much hassle they've saved us the past few weeks.

Well-presented, polite, punctual but I guess I expect a little more. Buying: My purchase has just fallen through and I attribute it, in part, to poor advice to the vendors and poor expectations management. Admittedly, market conditions can change (10 weeks pre- and post budget) but I’d expect an experienced real estate professional to read the market and advise and reassure sellers, thus safeguarding against knee-jerk reactions. Reducing prices and then putting them back up again at the 11th hour is crazy! On the expected day of exchange, Dexter’s advised my purchaser to reconsider our agreed price, a price that had been validated by survey. They also communicated to me that the vendor thought things had gone too slowly, again indicating poor expectations management on their part. First viewing 3 Oct, exchange planned for 16 Dec - that’s fast in anyone’s books! Selling: When approaching them to sell my property, I believe that they undervalued it - time will tell! Perhaps the markets were quiet that month, but a property is a long-term holding and I’m not in a hurry to sell. Courteous, timely communicators but I wouldn’t rely on their advice - you don’t choose who you buy from! But I’ll be wary before forking out for various surveys, checks and paying for conveyancing and mortgage arrangement. Countless hours and £4,600 wasted!!

Michelle came recommended from a friend to help buy our first house in London. Her knowledge about the real estate industry in London is excellent and she could answer anything we threw at her regarding the area, the house, the process (mortgages and more), etc. I grew up in Germany so it was great that Michelle could explain things simply to someone not used to English terminology or concepts and she gave us a range of options. AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I wish I could give Dexter’s more than a 5 star rating. We sold our one bed flat in Stockwell through Dexter’s. We had previously been on with another local agent, we had hardly any viewings and the agent continuously blamed the market and brexit for the very slow activity. After our contractual period ended with our previous agent we decided to try Dexter’s. Mark came around to value our property initially. He was professional, provided a lot of examples of similar property sales in our area and gave a very thorough appraisal of our property. Mark provided us with an information pack and the paperwork we needed if we decided to go ahead. We did not feel pressured or obligated to sign anything and we were given plenty of time to have a think about it without being bombarded with calls. We decided to go ahead with Dexter’s. Graham and his sales team came around to meet with us and to learn about the flat so they were well equipped with information on viewings. Within a day we had more viewings booked in with Dexter’s than we had in 12 weeks with the previous agent, furthermore within 1 week, before the property was listed online, we had an offer on the flat which we accepted. After the offer was accepted Graham handed over to Amy in the sales team who was also incredibly professional, informative and without doubt kept us feeling calm during the entire process. She often knew more of what was going on than our solicitor. Mark, Graham and Amy were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire sale process. It was an absolute pleasure to sell our flat with them.

Communication was very good between all parties and Graham managed to find us a buyer who had used Dexters previously. Our property had already been on the market with another agent for 3 months, and sold after 4 weeks of Dexters taking over. I would particularly like to thank Debbie and Talvinder who made the sales process manageable for us, especially as in hindsight we made a bad choice of solicitors and they managed to get the sale to go through where the solicitors didn’t! We recently sold our flat on Fentiman Road through Dexters. Graham and Mark were excellent, they got us offers from 2 different parties and we accepted an offer within 3 weeks of going online. The price was lower than we had hoped for but it was also realistic in the current market (Feb 2018). We were able to make an offer on a place outside of London that we had been keeping our eye on, and moved in May. This was a great result when we know of many people still waiting trying to sell in London. Very happy to have used Dexter's to make the deal happen.
