Dexters in Muswell Hill. A clueless organisation that have little knowledge about managing period property

Dexters in Muswell Hill, north London took on the management and major works of a grade 2 block. They sold themselves on their expertise of managing historical properties. They recommend surveyors and contractors suitable for the task of major works. In a nutshell, a clueless organisation with zero knowledge of lime mortar Flemish bond buildings. They added zero value and in some aspects destroyed value to the block by the cowboys they recommend.

Working with dexters makes my working environment really smooth and easy, they are always organised and on top of things, any issues or problems they always have a solution, also claire from management is always approachable and if there is anything we need or any support or guidance we need she will go over and beyond to help us, working closely along side management team colleagues like graziana, angelo and noura has really made my experience working with dexters great and enjoyable at times as they are always knowledgeable with every barrier we face with move ins, the whole team are great to work with.

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters…

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters again after an initial incident where pure profit over people made me wish I never encountered them, but I loved the look of a place being advertised and couldn't help but at least attempt to see if it was right for me. In the end not only was it a "bait and switch" the property being advertised was already off the market but I 1- got inedadted with irrelevant properties in my inbox 2- was stood up at a viewing that was scheduled and 3 had all of my communication preferences ignored. I won't fall again for the trickery and horrificly unprofessional conduct of Dexters again.

Just sold my property with Dexters in Tooting.I could not be happier with their work, attitude and performance: an absolute delight.The team led by Gaz worked tirelessly to get the property through as many viewings as possible. He was instrumental in marketing the property at the right price point which proved to be correct, as they found a buyer within very few weeks. From then on, Micheal took over. He was not just great in sealing the deal, but he also was brilliant in managing the process all the way through completion. I was kept informed on a weekly basis and he made sure communication between all parties was always flowing in the right direction. I would like to thank him for his professionalism, positive attitude and great work. Completely ghosted by an agent after we had already started looking at properties together. Tried to follow up via phone and email multiple times, no reply. A simple email saying „this property isn’t available anymore“ or whatever the reason might be is simply the professional thing to do, and it’s not hard. Will not be contacting them again for my next home search!

I have let my property for over 4 years…

I have let my property for over 4 years with initially Sebastian Roche, which was then taken over by Dexters. I have always had great service. My point of contact has always been Myra Mettam in the SE London office who is very responsive and gives good advice. She replies promptly to emails and has been on the ball for problems that could possibly arise. She is proactive which I find refreshing. She also supports the tenants appropriately. I had a problem with one of the tradesmen that the office organised a few years ago (overcharged for the work carried out). It was made clear to the office that this would not be appropriate, and since then I have had no such issues and only their trusted tradesmen have attended the property since. In the coyboy world of letting agencies, I would say that their management fees are fair and they provide a good service for both tenants as well as property owners.

Natasha Bedenik - Very Impressive

Natasha Bedenik has looked after my Wapping property for more than a dozen years. At DAA, from my client perspective, the service was personal and being an overseas landlord this was reassuring. With the Dexters takeover things immediately became bureaucratic and impersonal but I'm really impressed with how well Natasha has coped with the challenges that this transition has presented.One situation that arose after the takeover was handled particularly efficiently:Out of the blue, I was approached by the solicitors of my own management company suggesting I was in breach of my tenancy agreement. Natasha, assisted by the very helpful Zhora, quickly uncovered the misunderstanding (pretty technical stuff) that had taken place on the part of the council and the solicitors. This matter initially caused me considerable concern but thanks to the knowledge and professionalism of these two ladies the matter was kicked into touch within 48 hours by my community governing board.
