Brilliant service in finding rental

Dexters have been brilliant in helping us navigate what usually can be an anxious time in finding a rental property in London. In particular Chelsea Halloran in the Teddington branch has been with us over the past few weeks assisting in all our questions and search. Chelsea has always been super friendly, professional, and accommodating. Would recommend their service without a delay. The whole team have just been great to us.

Dexters London BridgeWe have used this branch for several years to rent our properties. Always had a very positive experience- professional, sound advice. Our agent recently was Ida who was amazing from the beginning. Excellent communication, went out of her way to be helpful and even managed to get emergency electrical repairs and a professional clean sorted out at very short notice so our new tenants could move in on time. I used Dexters as managing agents for 10 years. I have always found them to be highly professional and reliable. Munir in particular has assisted me on 2 occasions when financial pressures have caused huge stress. On both occasions, he has gone over and above the “extra mile” in order to find a satisfactory solution. He has been both professional and approachable showing that it is possible to show a human side even when trying to maintain a business in these difficult times. Over promised and under-delivered

Two stars for Honor Oak as they sold our house. But only two stars as they sold it for £80k less than what they were ‘very confident’ they could sell it for. Also points knocked off for promising senior involvement from the EA that initially came out (and promised the world) but this tailing off pretty quickly and the only contact being with a more junior agent. And point off for insisting on taking me to view pre-sale properties that ‘would be perfect’ for me but that met none of my needs ie not even having enough bedrooms. A complete waste of time. I assume this is what they did when they got 5 viewings through my house in first weekend but no offers. Just convinced people to come knowing they’d not be interested. All in all we got one offer - a far cry from their promises. Wouldn’t use them again

Appalling service

Appalling service. Renting a flat in London from Dexters and they have neglected to carry out a mandatory gas/electric safety check to ensure the property is safe. Constant electric blackouts and heating / hot water cut outs. Chairs broken, damp because of inadequate ventilation systems and old windows letting in drafts etc. microwave rusted at the seal - totally unsafe. Blinds broken. Some electrical sockets do not work. No information where the boiler is situated or electric gas meters. Front door locks - only one works and letterbox broken so falls off leaving a gaping whole in the door and draft. Reported Dexters to H&S executive as that might wake them up to their legal responsibilities. Never use Dexters. That’s the message, as it’s bad for your mental and physical health the stress of trying to get them to do anything at pace and with compassion 🥲

5 stars for Remi

I give 5 stars to Remi at Dexters as he is very efficient and he does what he says and always keeps his word. However, in the many years they managed the property I live at, the colleagues that previously managed the property were mot helpful. They would always say they would send the appropriate people to fix things and then they wouldn’t follow through. Something that needs serious improvement is to hire competent, knowledgeable and hard working people to fix things and not send always the same lazy careless people who come and break things even more or they do a easy half fix and leave and email the agency with a pic saying its all fixed. Even worse and out of Dexters control is the council of Westminster sending people to fix windows who come and literally say that the work requires 2 hours and they are not up for it so they patch things up with glue and plastic pieces in 5 min, take a pic and say its done in the middle of the winter with a baby in the house, leaving the window unfixed for a privately rented property.

Chloe from Dexters helped us throughout the process of buying our first property. I'll say it loudly, among all the people involved in this process, including the seller’s and buyer’s solicitors, she was the most proactive. She helped us chase down the sellers or their solicitors whenever needed. She also took her time with each viewing (we had three) and never made us feel rushed. A big thanks to her for managing the entire process and making us feel comfortable throughout.
