GoogleHugh and his team have been absolutely brilliant during the sale of our apartment last month. We initially marketed through a different firm with little success, but once we changed to Dexters the process moved quickly. Hugh was extremely proactive in marketing and secured an offer, when this fell through post Brexit, Hugh and team secured us 5 new offers within less than a week. GoogleDexters took a holding deposit to secure a flat and then when the landlord changed his mind on the terms then called us to say that another couple had put an improved offer (£5 per month) and that the landlord would prefer to rent to them.
Dexters' response 'yeh, sorry nothing that we can do'.
According Shelter:
What should happen when you pay a deposit
'The landlord or agent should stop advertising the property.
They are not allowed to take a holding deposit from more than one person for the same property at the same time'
We got our deposit back after a week but had handed in our notice. Beware when dealing with Dexters.
