We had been struggling to find a flat that suited us and other estate agencies were not responsive like Dexters Hyde Park were. Despite the residential landscape moving incredibly quickly at the moment, Ellie helped my flatmates and I to find an amazing property in an absolutely perfect location, despite the landlord not originally accepting our offer. Really impressed with Dexter's for the way they share your profile with colleagues from different branches and propose possible properties that meet clients requirements. I was contacted by Milli for a property that literally ticked all the boxes for us. This meant they understood what my partner and I were after. Furthermore, she is lovely, professional and genuine. We are the new tenant for the property at Westbourne Terrace, London. There's a terrible water leaking inside the flat since the first day we moved into this property which was on 28th February 2021. The leaking was coming from the water tank located on the top of our flat. We managed to contact the property management to deal with this issue. They advised that the water tank will be replaced, which would mean no hot water supply to the property for a minimum of 3-4 days. The hot water supply to the property has already been stopped since 28th February 2021 and no specific date to be confirmed when the new tank will arrive.To live in this property with no hot water supply for 3 to 4 days or maybe a week, at the minimum as the agent mentioned earlier until the management replace the new tank is awful. It may lead to hypothermia and more serious health complications over time. There is no way the flat is suitable for any person to live in. We’ve just moved in this week, had this massive water leak with water seeping through the ceiling, through the light fixtures and causing this massive inconvenience and safety issues. Some of the carpets and sofa inside this property were wet and started to become smelly. It is becoming increasingly difficult to cope with the situation and the worst is yet to come. This was a really, terribly bad experience that we had so far. We do not think this is safe for habitation until the whole matter is resolved, including getting the water supply back to normal. We are now supposed to sign the tenancy agreement (Issue 2) right after we moved in, but we decided not to sign until the agency resolved all the ongoing issues at the flat. There's so much issue going on at the flat now. The agency should make sure the property is in a proper, safe way before letting the new tenant move in. It is not fair for us to sign the agreement, paid the full amount of the 6 month rental, but we did not get what we were supposed to get. I hope your agency resolve this matter highlighted urgently, as this is clearly not a safe property. We are really concerned about our health, physical & mental well-being.NegativeValue

EDIT: what i said about the agent below is still true. However , the agent that ended up getting the commission on our rental made us go through the most tiresome experience. He , Piers Connor, had little regard for our worries and asks , he only chased our signatures and cornered us without giving importance to our tenant rights. Avoid him and ask for another agent if you can. He and Dexters with premeditatation evaded showing us the condition to which we would enter , didn’t fight at all for us. we kept asking for good furniture and finishing. The furniture is SAD and looks like someone’s unwanted things. The dining table is wobbly and could be a toy table. We are sorry he got the commission , if anything Bella deserved it , not him. Mind you, we do not pay a small rent amount , we are in the 3k + a month range . The Dexter’s Administration team has been daunting , we were never told we would enter the flat halfway though plaster work, big leak that has un with a constant puddle, peeled and watermarked ceilings, dangling cables in the middle of the kitchen . As well as unhinged cabinet doors and busted shower head . The wall decorating is in a bad state with one bedroom being inhabitable. We moved over a month ago and the work hasn’t even re started. they gaslight our emails with unclear timelines and promises of someday. this is not an empty property anymore , it’s someone’s home and it looks embarrassing. but if they have your money and signature on contract they don’t care. i’d say RUN , find a boutique agency or a direct landlord - tenant relationship. I will only change this status once my case has been tended to , it’s ridiculous. I have tried the friendly approach for over a month. I’m tired and we are not conformists. we pay rent in full and as landlords administration i wonder if not keeping the place up to standard counts as a breach of contract. i’ll be checking that next The overall good rating of this agency is because they really care about these reviews . they will get the agent that bonded with you most to tell you how much it means to their performance review if you help them with a good one, as if it were personal- what a cunning way to hide behind a nice person the terrible service you get once you have given them your money. This good rating is a tactic they actively work on but it’s artificially crafted Isabella (Bella) is terrific as a guide and expert to finding a place. Our search has been long but she is really sweet and has remained patient and active in showing us the best fits that come her away. We appreciate her help through the process.
