She had lived in the US so she was able to guide me on the differences between renting an apartment in the US versus a flat in the UK. She was very patient with me also. I want to say a big thank you to Jadasa Andjadiumi for her excellent handling of my job. The job involved coordination between multiple stakeholders and agreeing a work schedule between all of them. I was fortunate to have enjoyed a lovely experience house-hunting with this company. In particular, Loujain was the agent whom I was in correspondence with. She was very patient and understanding of what I was looking for and took me on multiple house viewings. She was also genuinely concerned with my search for a place. Been renting with Dexters for 9 months now - and have been very happy. Out flat is a managed property which has been really convenient. Judith Reid, our property manager, is really friendly and any maintenance issues that has arisen have been dealt with promptly and professionally. There is also emergency coverage at the weekend in case anything were to go wrong outside of 'office hour's, which most other companies don't offer and definitely gives us peace of mind. Would recommend.

Be careful with their services. They issued the contract, I signed and paid deposit and first month’s rent, which essentially made it legally binding with consideration. 3 days later, they called me and said the landlord changed their mind and wanted to rent it out to someone else. They didn’t try to protect tenants at all given that my signed contract and payment already made it legally binding. They tried to trick me when pulling out by saying that the landlord hasn’t signed. Under English law, you don’t need landlord signature for it to be legally binding.

When the flat that I let became vacant, the manager of Lettings at Dexters Paddington approached me asking if we would give them sole marketing for the flat. I obviously wanted to rent it out as soon as possible, and receive a good, and much-needed monthly income, and so I was very unwilling to commit to just one - and new at that - agent. However, Tom McLarnon was very persuasive in a straight kind of way, and although I had begun to talk to other agents, I decided that if he was that persuasive with me, then he would be equally persuasive with potential tenants! So I decided to give Dexters a chance - and I'm very glad I did.They found me a good tenant and achieved the asking price well within the time period, and kept me in informed throughout the finding process. There were a few administrative hiccups at the beginning, but Tom was kind enough to sort these out very promptly, and so nothing became a major issue. Finally, I felt that I was listened to, and as a long-time landlord, that does count for something.
