We decided to rent our flat in Battersea and invited a number of agents to discuss marketing the property. This was the first time we have been landlords or rented a property. Dexters were very responsive in arranging a meeting. Tom was very personable, knowledgeable and took time to answer our questions. Tom provided useful information on pricing and provided lots of comparable properties that had rented recently to support his price. We felt very comfortable with Dexters and decided to go solely with them to market the flat. The same day we started marketing it we had viewings confirmed for the following weekend. By the end of the first week we'd had several strong offers of the asking and above. Once we'd decided on the tenants, Zendeca has been brilliant in managing the whole process. She has been incredibly responsive and ensured we had all the required documents ready in time. She also helped manage finding an electrician and handyman to manage some of the jobs that needed doing. Overall, the experience, especially as a new landlord, has been the superb. We would highly recommend working with Dexters Lettings and especially with Zendeca and Tom.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

They have found great tenants for my property and Zen is unfailingly professional and extremely responsive. - Property was wrongly advertised as including a utility bill in the price. - When I said I’d make an offer the Lettings consultant Edward made it seem as though I needed to go above asking AND offer a rent increase after a year. It actually put me off as I couldn’t afford this, but he rang me and said I should make an offer anyway - clearly made the suggestion just to improve his commission, not because there was a competitive need. - Edward then took the holding deposit without me officially making the offer (possibly illegal?) After taking the holding deposit - which I believe means it shouldn’t be advertised anymore - they couldn’t reach me for a week or due to me dealing with a family emergency and actually offered the property to a friend of mine who was also looking to move. - Dexters were very helpful with getting me across the line with LettingsHub in time for me to move - When I moved in I noticed the back wall was practically covered in mildew, and the flat wasn’t clean - though this was picked up by the inventory, Dexters were reluctant to help. Granted, the property isn’t managed by Dexters but I’m sure not informing me of a mould problem in the property goes against their code of practice

I want to highly recommend Jesse Jacobs from Dexters Battersea. There were several issues with a rental property I recently moved into (totally outside of Jesse & Dexters’ control), but the manor and speed with which Jesse solved these problems was hugely impressive and helpful. Having rented several properties in London, I can safely say that Jesse is a standout agent, who takes each and every concern seriously and responds promptly. I can’t stress what an amazing experience I had with dexters battersea earlier this year and Lara is the best estate agent I’ve ever met! I had numerous problems with selling my flat and dexters were on hand 24/7 to help me with this- noteably finding us another buyer in the space of a week when I was 8.5 months pregnant and our buyer pulled out. I've had to change my review which was originally 5 stars at the time Dexters helped me find a property. Ever since then (it's been 3+years I have been a tenant at one of their properties) I have found Dexters to be uninterested, chaotic and unresponsive in managing the property. It has taken them ages to follow through on action items (normal maintenance work), which I have had to chase them for repeatedly, and still mostly remain to be done. They have lost a set of keys to the property which I had to cut for them (because they could not be bothered to do it themselves) and most recently I've received a letter that they have applied to switch energy supplier without even consulting me. It's a shambles.
