After dealing with other letting agents, it was a breath of fresh air to speak to someone, Myra Mettam, who not only could answer my questions fully, but in doing so, also covered the answers to my next three or four points.It has left me , as a landlord, confident in letting through Dexters, that I will not be falling foul of the seemingly endless new rules and regulations that I could be penalised for breaking

Would not recommend to non full-time landlords

I paid the highest level of management fees as a landlord at 18%. However, they hardly managed anything, especially refused to fix a leak just because it was coming from upstairs. Can't reconcile the fact that a leak in my flat is outside of their management responsibilities given how much they were charging, and dealing with them ended up wasting a lot of my time on a problem I had to fix myself in the end.After I wrote this view they called to clarify that this was under the responsibility of a block management company since the flat I was renting out was a part of a Victorian conversion. This was not communicated at any point during the process.They also communicated the wrong leaving date, overcharged the tenant, gave keys to my new tenant when the old tenant had NOT moved out, and afterward did not fix the problem until I wrote this review.In terms of general experience throughout the 1+ year, I've had about 5 different contacts. Admittedly some were more competent than others but none had any accountability. I would not recommend Dexters to landlords who do not have property rental as their main job. Overall I felt that I was sold a service that was not satisfactory.

Worst experience renting in London

I really would give 0 if I could. Communication was just horrible the whole tenancy, literally the Landlord had to chase them for us! Never had such a bad experience with an agency, they lied to both us and the landlord and even took off money from our deposit and lied to the landlord about refunding the money to us. They mixed up the check out dates, and gave a pare of keys to a new persons while we were still leaving in the property, completely messed up and unorganised. Extremely bad experience!

Brilliant property managers. Elmira Moghadam was a great property manager throughout our tenancy. She was knowledgeable and helpful and always easy to get in contact with. Any issue we had with the flat was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The whole office team were friendly and responsive and it made renting in London really easy for us. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been searching for apartments for weeks and weeks for early September until I found a unit listed by Dexters City and was directed to Nyshaea. Initially the lease of the unit I wanted didn’t meet my criteria, although I desperately wanted that unit. My offer almost got declined. But Nyshaea from Dexters City helped me so much in negotiating with the landlord and my offer got accepted at the end. I’m really satisfied with Dexters City and with Nyshaea, without their help I seriously wouldn’t know where I’d be staying next month.

Rude agents at Dexters

Agents at Dexter's threatened to have my apartment taken from me after payments of €20k+ were made because they could not wait 5 days to sign a paper. I was planning a 1-year contract with Dexters for an apartment in London where the move-in date was 3 months ahead. Just a day after I paid €1000 for their commission fee before signing with the landlord the agents working at Dexters called and texted me non-stop for 2 days threatening to revoke the apartment and take the money I had already paid (€20k+) because I was busy with my job and could not sign any more papers until the weekend. Absolutely awful experience, do not recommend these thieves. Please choose another agency that does actual estate work compared to these criminals.
