After I posted my review, Dexters responded publicly asking me to share my contact details so they could look into my concerns. I did so, hoping they would genuinely try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, nothing was resolved. I felt that requesting my contact details was simply a way to appear responsive in public rather than to address my concerns in a meaningful way. The disappointing part wasn't just losing the holding deposit, it was the lack of a genuine effort to resolve the matter afterward. Based on my personal experience, I would advise prospective tenants to be extremely cautious before paying any holding deposit. Read all the terms carefully and make sure you understand exactly what happens if your application is unsuccessful. I cannot recommend Dexters Streatham Estate Agents based on my experience. Visit dexters streathem at your own risk.

I have rented my current flat through Dexters, but unfortunately my arse of a landlord issued me an eviction notice just before the new Renters Reform Bill became law. He would not even give me a reason why I was being evicted, because he didn't have to under the previous act. He is one of those landlords....However Dexters helped me out yet again. Annie( manager in Streatham)found me a wonderful flat in Streatham. I was getting desperate, having seen 20+ places that were either awful or multiple bids. She kindly gave me an early call on my new place, and I managed to secure it. Kudos to Annie and Dexters.

Edit: June 2024- Dexter's helped us get a second flat to rent, this time in West Norwood and James helped us get the everything sorted so quickly. A great estate agency I had the pleasure of working with recently when house hunting! I wasn't able to secure a property with them which was of no fault of theirs. Letting consultant Keron was very helpful sharing a selection of properties initially with me and upon receiving my specifications was very on the ball with ensuring I received instant alerts of properties that fit my criteria. Even went as far as calling and following up to ensure receipt. Unfortunately I secured a property via a different agency as they just so happened to have a property that ticked all of my boxes. I do recommend Dexter Streatham and big thank you to Keron for the service.
