GoogleI can’t express how disappointed we were upon arriving to our rental property to find the absolutely filthy and disgusting state of the flat. Missing furniture (namely a bed - Presumably they expected us to sleep on the floor?), broken lights, old food and drink in the fridge and a dirty used razor and hairs & grime in the bathroom, brown marks on the carpet... I could go on - but frankly, completely unacceptable. We have not been able to move into the property as planned and have had to stay in a hotel until the many many issues at the property can be resolved.
The most disappointing part of this service from Dexter’s was the constant reassurance from the agents that the property was looking great, professionally cleaned and all furniture had been installed ahead of time - which clearly was not true.
I find it difficult to understand how nobody (estate agents or property manager) would have thought to visit the property ahead of time to make sure everything was in order, as this would have allowed enough time to resolve the issues in time for our tenancy start date, considering the property has been empty for several months, and we signed a contract 3 weeks before the planned move in date.
We will be filing a formal complaint over the issues we have faced .

We got the property we were after in the end which is why i'm giving 3 stars, however the journey to completion was one that was littered with incorrect information from our agent, a lack of urgency, and a general sense that nothing was ever the agent's fault!
When we do come to re-enter the market a few years down the line, we will most likely choose to do so through a different agency.
