Soulless corporation

Soulless corporation. I bought membership during lockdown for £130. A few days after, they tried to charge me £336. I wrote to support TWICE to cancel, I cancelled from the website, and WeWork is STILL trying to charge my card, every day, with the £336!!! That is so dodgy and unprofessional. No wonder why this corporation is failing. It’s anti-customer-centric and robbing its customers. Let me also mention that when I went there, there wasn’t even a reception person to make me a card to enter and exit.

Impossible to book

Tried to book a meeting room for 4 hour session in London. Online system did not allow me to pay for it - despite having an account, and trying 2 different credit cards that work on every other site going. Spoke to a nice person on phone (hence 2 stars not 1), who said I’d be emailed a link - but that never happened. In the end I found a room with Regus nearby, also discovering that was 1/3 of the price. Shocking all round.

When it comes canceling your membership…

When it comes canceling your membership they basically make it as hard as possible and keep ignoring your request to keep you there longer so they basically charge you more. Doesn't worth to over £400 at all.

Very nice workspace for professionals. If you’re looking for a place in London to work, that has lots of people but somehow you don’t feel disturbed, then WeWork is for you. The vibe is just right for work and also networking. I like that they allow dogs in the building so that’s great if you want to bring your dog to work.

Poor Quality STAFF is their biggest Failure! Sarah Brophy Dylan Smulders (Same across other branches I have used, staff are in party mode rather than running a professional front of house for commercial clients. They are not bothered about doing any work as they dont get monitored, there is No Formal point of escalation for Complaints within the company itself. Staff and Management are just getting paid to come into the office to chill out, play and have fun. This isn't a business environment where you can rely on the staff to fulfill basic Office Administrative tasks. All their offices are run by people who behave like they are at a Student Party. You can't advertise yourself as a Professional Corporate Office in Central London then employe staff who just want to Rave and do no work. Just set up a Student Guild, will be a better business model for you) I had been called repeatedly and ensured that I could have addresses set up here for my work if I signed up. Having gone through the whole process they then changed their minds and started telling me I couldn't. It's been a nightmare as no one helps you after they have signed you up and taken payment. I requested refund straight away within couple of days and have been trying to cancel my direct debit which they keep collecting. I haven't used their services at all. They have not been helpful post sign up and I would definitely not recommend. It appears they just want sign ups and not interested in keeping their word or ongoing customer service. (Added Review back on as they changed their previous google listings business page name, maybe to mask negative reviews and set up this new page now)

Bad support, bad company, bad UI

Shit support, terrible UI, terrible everything. Why can't users manage their own memberships? The cancellation process has been incredibly frustrating. I asked the front desk to submit a ticket for me just to cancel my membership, but either they forgot or the support team is not handling things well. I just got charged for this month, and they're not willing to issue a refund. How did WeWork receive so much funding but fail to design a proper product? It's so frustrating.

The billing methodology and discount…

The billing methodology and discount structure are unclear and deceiving, resulting in a 4-month commitment instead of 3-months. Please make your billing clearer and fair, not just for yourselves to profit.

Don't let the image of amazing spaces fool you

In a day of customer service, well being and entrepreneurship Wework offered spaces for budding individuals with bright colours and funky furniture. But sadly this is where it all stops. I have been a loyal member for almost a year now and lets just say Wework dont give a damn about looking after loyal customers. They are dishing out 50% discounts to new members just so they can fill their empty spaces they have been spending millions on building rather than offering loyalty rewards to their existing customers, how poor and short sighted are Wework. Furthermore, their offices share ventilation equipment so when my neighbor eats fish, I practically do too! their offices are poorly constructed with sound travelling through each office easily, desks are getting smaller however the free drinks are never ending. Where is your priority Wework? So thanks for the short stay, I have learned a lot about how Wework operate and I will take this knowledge on with me when I move out in the next few months. Because you denied any loyalty rewards, you have triggered me to look elsewhere and guess what, I have found a number of other options that are more welcoming, are flexible with their rent and have much better reviews. Shame!

WeWork - Bangalore - EGL

We were at the Bangalore EGL office. The place started off great but has slowly deteriorated in terms of upkeep as well as expectations. Pros: Great address - at least the EGL one was. Cons: Their conference booking system is a farce overcharging us when there were credits left. Their repetitive music is a nuisance for people who prefer silence rather than repetitive American top 40 tunes. Their billing and finance setups and teams are complicated and can get on your nerves. Hot desks were good but were not the best because we had to surrender them for marketing events and had to shift to smaller cabins. Parking is overpriced as usual. Lastly, in here, the temperature does not see double digits - it is frigid. Summary: Tune down the bells and whistles and make it worth our money.

Overcrowded, noisy

Overcrowded, claustrophobic, noisy, slow network. The few call booths are all busy, while the vast majority of the offices are empty and locked. Ventilation sucks, AC is running at a bare minimum.

Financially Struggling and It Shows

My WeWork gripe is that they built a lot of functionality into their app, but they deliberately left out the ability to cancel your membership. You have to speak with someone to cancel, who then has to contact the billing office. It took so long that they billed me for an entire extra month. The app could do this in a second, but they don’t want to let you do that. WeWork’s bankruptcy struggles are well-known, and unfriendly policies for customers remind you of their financial troubles.

Like so many others - terrible experience

Like so many others, we have been badly let down by WeWork. There is no discussion, no response, and no negotiation on fees for offices we are not legally able to use. Despite numerous attempts to negotiate and even just speak to someone, we have been referred to an aggressive debt collection agencies with huge fees without anyone even bothering to respond to our communications.Shocking behaviour against everything they pretend to stand for

Passion, collaboration, and merriment...3 words that best describe WeWork

WeWork is an amazing company that does so much to help startups/small businesses in whatever their ventures might be. Collaboration happens everyday between individuals and companies. There is an energy you can feel that permeates the building. You are surrounded by people from so many different backgrounds that have a real passion for the work they're doing. There’s absolutely no question that this passion is contagious. Nearly everyone is engaging, easy to talk to, and has a genuine interest in meeting new people. I think any startup would benefit from being at WeWork and surrounding themselves with other entrepreneurs. Tapping your peers' experience and various expertise, helps you and your business grow and can open up new potential avenues that you might never have thought of. Last, but certainly not least, the social aspect of WeWork truly puts it over the top and makes it hands down the best co-working space you can find anywhere.

CAREFUL

CAREFUL! Locking you in 12months contract and if you cancel early they ask for remaining term to be paid in full! And this is for the most basic package. I only wanted for 2 months and support was asking for $3k to be paid.

Over promise and under deliver

Anyone can provide an office space. The whole concept behind co-working is in the added value. WeWork totally miss the point here. They don't facilitate introductions and don't offer any added value. They are far more US focussed and if you're in London you tend to get forgotten about. It's just a name, like when everyone used to used Oracle and SQL Server was a better product at half the price. Don't believe the type.

A Company That Walks The Talk!

Some of my previous reviews have been about companies that just don't deliver when it comes to supporting their clients! So I was very happy when I finished my contract with WeWork and my deposit was refunded promptly and before the due date.In addition to that the team at their Weesperstraat office in Amsterdam were always helpful and friendly dealing with any issues efficiently. I'm already missing the free beer!:))

Flexibility My A**

This review is based on our experience placing our Mexico City office at WeWork (Park Plaza). In total, our experience has been terrible. We begin with being required to pay a deposit of 4 months rent on a 12 month contract. Seems excessive. Or, worse, a desperate scheme to infuse cash into the operation. But, okay, we paid it. We now are 9 months into our 12 month lease and haven't been able to use our office for over 2 months. Because it's in the wrong building. Our staff has turned over and our employees now live too far away from this office. We have **repeatedly** asked WeWork to help us here. Either help us move this office to another building, closer to downtown, or let us cancel the lease. Keep our deposit! Despite having multiple buildings in Mexico City (at least 14), Alyn (the person "helping" us) has repeatedly reported to us over the past two months that there are no spaces elsewhere. We must stay where we are. This despite WeWork claiming one of its key advantages is "flexibility". Our office seats 12 people but we only have four. I've offered to take an office smaller than 12 but Alyn tells us our contract does not allow us to downsize. Worse, Alyn then goes on to tell us that a 12 person office elsewhere is going to be substantially more expensive. I can understand why a contract wouldn't allow us to downsize **monetarily** but I see no reason why a contract should care whether we occupy an office that seats 8 in one building or 12 in another, so long as both offices are the same cost. But the answer is just a rigid no.Okay. Then let's just cancel this thing. WeWork, you hold a four month deposit on an office we aren't using and have three months left to pay on. Please pay the remaining rent out of the deposit and refund us the balance. Again, another rigid no. We must continue to pay on the lease until the end, at which point WeWork will "process" a refund of our four month deposit. WOW.For some reason, I have a feeling there will be another review before this is all over. That one addressing our efforts to recover our deposit. Stand by.Bottom line: don't buy WeWork's claim that having office space with them gives you flexibility. It absolutely does not. At least not in Mexico.

Best Workspaces in London

I've been using WeWork spaces in and around London since getting my passes via Revolut. I cannot fault the facilities at the locations that I've visited. Well appointed; light; airey and clean. It beats working out of a cafe or at home all the time. Facilities are well looked after and there's ample space to work - be it get your head down somewhere quiet or to take a call. I do find it disappointing that in order to have a guest, I must book a meeting room at added cost if I'm a WeWork On Demand member. I don't see why a guest can't sit in a communal area with me and gist quickly. Booking a meeting room is a bit OTT. The pool table and free beer at 3pm is a perk! Community team are active and there are some good events on most of the time also. I'm considering upgrading my membership to All Access.

Unhelpful Account Executive

I was interested in signing up for a new membership earlier this year and decided against it after a frustrating encounter with an account executive named Leetal. She was condescending and was incapable of detailing the pricing or the terms of contract throughout multiple engagements. I attempted to speak with someone else, and was inevitably routed back to her where she was unpleasant. It is unfortunate that happened. If i could have spoken to someone else, I may have become a member.

We moved to hybrid working after the pandemic, so twice a week I work out of one of our £1bn of London office space. lol, right? If you use them regularly enough, and account for the free coffees, power, and heating, you'll save money! Lovely working environments all over London.
