In particular, they offered an excellent home staging element that allowed us to move out prior to the sale of the house and they then arranged furniture & fittings to maximise the appeal for potential buyers. Everyone knows that stock caricature of the estate agent and we have dealt with quite a few of them
.
From our first meeting with Ellie to discuss our downsizing plans when they were just an embryo of an idea, we knew this experience would be different.
Ellie spent a couple of hours with us carefully explaining where the housing market was at, how it might evolve, the importance of timing and how Brickworks would engage with the process of selling our family home.
When we finally did take the plunge, with absolutely no pressure from Brickworks, the team helped us show the house off to its full advantage.
Tam, the creative director and Anna, the photographer spent a whole day taking photographs and totally succeeded in capturing the essence of our house.
We had a very enthusiastic buyer within days.
The whole team came back to us very quickly regarding any questions we had, held our hands through the nail-biting stress of the final weeks leading up to completion and were generally wonderful.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Robert. A lot has changed since your move in September 2021, but we take all comments on board, especially where we can learn lessons and improve.
Regarding the Welcome Box, we decided not to routinely hand them out post-COVID for safety reasons. I'm sorry if this wasn't made clear at the time. In fact, we have yet to really start again.
However, we are in the process of speaking to makers and independent shops and plan to launch a new Welcome Box later this year. We will arrange for one of the first ones to be delivered to you as a small thank you for buying through Brickworks and an apology if our standards fell short.
