5 star service - Lucky us for finding a property through Chesterton’s. Landlords listen up - as tenants this agent,Alex Wasey was professional and caring -he stands out from the crowd. Three years of disappointment

After 10 years of using a cheeper agent I hoped being a landlord with chestertons would be a step up. After overestimating the rental value a tenant was finally found who then could not pay the rent after the first month. I then had three months of uncertainty, with no rent while they took all of their fees upfront, until a new tenant moved in at £300 less than I had been getting 5 years before. They charged me over £700 cleaning check in on a 4 bedroom house and allowed the first tenant to get out of paying for the check out clean despite him breaking the contract after a month. Since then they have sent in contractors that overcharged and did the same job again and again such as fitting the same security light three times and each time at a different price. There was three new property managers in two years and they all seemed to struggle to keep up with the workload. My tenant waited three weeks for them to send a contractor to fix a leak and then their contractor left without attempting to fix it! The bath was allowed to leak for over a month before I was even told there was an issue, all the while water soaked through the floor and down the wall. Despite them breaking their own terms and conditions they still expect me to pay for rent that they are no longer collecting. I was lied to repeatedly about work that was done and when the rent would come through. My tenant was unhappy and the my experience was stressful and unpleasant

I decided to rent the place and paid the holding deposit before I was even in the UK. It is a really good flat to live in. I was rushing to find a place before my arrival to the UK, I was able to view the house remotely thanks to Cecilia. I also got to view the house in person with Cecilia before I committed to rent. Really a good place to live in, close to all the outdoor & indoor supermarket and convenient stores.

Prompt, Truthful and with a Level of Care

I worked with Nishaad at the Pimlico office finding an apartment and it was a great experience. He was always three steps ahead and communicated with multiple parties to get the answers before I even had to raise the questions. He has always been prompt about my requests big or small, let alone I signed my apartment over Christmas and New Years. I found myself never have to bring up the same concerns twice since they are either resolved quickly or he was actively working on them / remembered them. I'd highly recommend.

Stav goes worldwide! Stav was a pleasure to deal with we had the hard dilemma of moving over from Aus to London in height of pandemic times (Feb/March 2021). We were able to give specifics on our requirements even from Aus and he was able to get us videos, update and help us with contract negotiation. If she didn't know herself she always asked the right people and got me a response immediately.
