GoogleWe bought, rented, and ultimately sold a property with Beaumont Gibbs and highly recommend all of their services. Luke in particular was a great help - always willing to put in a call or chase one of the parties in the transaction, and calmly updating or negotiating with all sides when new information came to light. The property management side of the business is also very efficient and we were kept informed of changes in regulations so that we were able to stay up-to-date.

GoogleWe have moved out of a property managed by Beaumont Gibbs. The landlord sold the house and we were very cooperative during the whole process, leaving the house tidy for views, accommodating their views according to our busy lives, etc. Now it’s been 11 days since we have moved out and I had to chase several times to enquire about our deposit. The only response I got was that the check out report was done one week after our move and that the landlords were not getting back to them. What happens to the 10 days time frame?? In order for us to move in, everything needs to be done on time. But once we move out they take their time and we have to be stressed chasing up. Another week has passed and I have no idea when we are getting our deposit back. Really disappointing and stressful.
Dear Veronica, as you have been informed, the check out report was received by us on Wednesday 19th April. It will be 10 working days since you moved out, on Monday 24th April. The check out was carried out the day after you moved out, but has been delayed somewhat due to the inventory clerks husband having a motorcycle accident. They both work together and so the wife has doubled her own workload. By law the landlords have 10 working days to reply back to you or us. We have sent the inventory to the landlords who live in America, so there is time difference of 12 hours between the UK and where they are. My colleague Keira has advised you of this. We CANNOT release the deposit until we have the landlords permission. By harassing my staff is not going to get this matter resolved any more quickly. So I would appreciate it that you keep the tone down of your somewhat abusive messages towards Keira and we will be doing our upmost to get a reply from the landlords. Sincerely David Gibbs, Director. 24th April. Just to confirm that we have had the landlords approval to release the full deposit to you. We have actioned this today.

It was a very difficult process for many reasons, but Luke in particular was always available and happy and able to assist with everything. I can’t speak highly enough about how it was dealt with, at all times I was kept up to date about where I was in the process and never left wondering how long things would take. If I ever sell or have any dealings in the property market again I will hands down be using Beaumont Gibbs, friendly, professional, informative, transparent and know exactly what to do and when to do it, which is a rarity in the property market.
