GoogleI have used Beaumont Gibbs for a number of years now, first as a property manager and then to sell my flat. They are a lovely firm to deal with, very personable and kept me fully up to date at all times. Their property management arm is also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for property management or selling/buying a flat.

GoogleThey were pleasant to deal with at first but they requested bank statements which were sent onto the seller. This eventually became a scenario where the seller wanted more money saying something along the lines of "you should pay more because you have the money in the bank to do so". We actually thought they were friendly enough but this sort of behaviour isn't acceptable.
Dear Stephen, I am writing in response to your grievance against Beaumont Gibbs via your Google review and would like to state for the record that none of your personal information was ever sent to our client. When an applicant makes an offer through us we have a duty of care to our client to ensure that we have checked the prospective purchasers financial position. We ask for proof of deposit funds (or cash funds if buying cash), proof of a mortgage decision in principle (if applicable) and mortgage brokers details. None of this information is/was forwarded to the client we simply inform them that we have witnessed these documents as we also did in your case too. In regards to your comment that the seller stated that “you should pay more because you have the money in the bank to do so” simply is not true. You viewed the property, made an offer that was acceptable to the client and the property was down-valued by the surveyor. The owner was prepared to accept an offer 50% lower than the difference if you would cover the cost of the remaining 50% which you were not prepared to do, consequently the sale collapsed.
