SERVICE (REPAIRS) Bad customer Service.

We have recently shifted into New Maden property managed by Barnard Marcus. Letting agents were kind and nice.We have a list of repairs & requests within a week of shifting into this new house, which was communicated by email, phone & in person.We were told the handyman was busy & will come last week which of course he never did .Follow up with the in person meeting in Barnard Marcus office in New Malden & was told he will come today on 14th Aug in the morning. I pushed my online (teaching) Yoga Session to the next day, and again we were disappointed. It is very frustrating to chase them and be in waiting line, hoping to hear from them, which never happens.We do not like to rant, unfortunately we are left with no choice but resort to social media. I hope Barnard Marcus could pull up their socks & be more pro active & faster in resolving tenant requests. Alternatively let us interact directly with the owner if you cannot manage their property properly.Thank you Best regardsPam

Will Wigley has been the most amazing estate agent I could hope for. But I would be lying if I said that that is all he has been. Will has been a chauffeur for many a house viewings, a designer helping me envision the property for myself but most of all a friend through the ups and downs of the house buying process. We worked together for a year before I purchased my dream first home and it’s all thanks to Will. He was there when my first purchase fell through and gave it his all for my second one. He worked harder than any one on the team and I can truly say is the best estate agent out there. And I would know, I came across 20 of them! I know that I will be making all future purchases and sales through Will and if he ever leaves the world of real estate, through Barnard Marcus because they surely know how to pick them. A massive thank you to everyone who made my dream come true including Lee and Kelly. I look forward to working together again one day!

I instructed them to let my flat

I instructed them to let my flat. There were a few things that I was concerned about in terms of their professionalism but ignored it. However I got an offer for my flat from them and was told the references and comprehensive checks were coming. They came the night before the tenants were due to move in (despite me chasing constantly). They failed then affordability checks, and were not certainly not comprehensive but I was told that was what insurance was for. I withdrew and said I felt sorry for the tenants, and got told by Anton he “did not give a sh@t about the tenants” and him telling me how great he was . In addition, despite having my number they kept calling my partner rather than me… I complained and they completely did not answer my complaint in any way, shape or form. Finally, my partner got a call from someone who used to work in Anton’s branch to say she had moved as she could not work for him, and they got lots of complaints about him. Completely different to what they said in their response to me. I finally let my flat for more than they marketed it for and with great tenants. AVOID

Erected a 'for sale' sign on a private residential building in a spot clearly marked 'so estate agent signs' within private property boundary. Repeatedly asked by management company to take down the sign and lied they would. Complete disregard and respect for residential rules for business gains and brand advertising.

Overall experience with Bernard Marcus has been disappointing and stressful.

Worst property managers i have ever experienced! We have lived in a property they manage for a while now, but they are Incompetent in responding to any maintenance issues. There employees, especially Samantha, are extremely rude. They ignore your requests/ emails and phone calls, they leave you living in a mouldy property. They do not care about there tenants. They are more interested in getting there fees. You are constantly chasing them to do there jobs properly. Our boiler broke down three times within a year, they leave you without hot water and heating for a week in the winter period and think this is a reasonable amount of time to get a contractor out. The property was not professionally cleaned when we first moved in. The oven broke down three times within 6 months, each time over a week to fix. The company is full of excuses and lies. Extremely shocked that they are still operating and landlords are using them. Inspections completed, but tenants are not allowed the report or want to charge tenant fees! I know for a fact that they just want to take tenants deposit for no reason. Overall experience with Bernard Marcus has been disappointing and stressful.

Eva gave us an honest appraisal of our house and we had a viable buyer after a week on the market. Barnard Marcus kept in touch and helped make the process smooth. If I could give 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would. I sold my flat with BM and the sales team in Wallington was always there to take my calls, answer any questions I had and always showed professionalism to the highest standards. Alex, Katie, and especially Kyle at sales went out of their ways chasing solicitors almost on the daily basis, provided not only professional advice but helped me get through the days when I thought we will never complete due to unprofessional solicitors and long waiting times. Their commitment to selling my property was visible from the first contact until the last phone conversation after completion. Thank you Kyle and everyone at Barnard Marcus

Barnard Marcus Wallington - couldn't care less

Barnard Marcus Wallington - I got an offer accepted on a house around September / October 2022 and was strongly told, as a condition of sale, to go with the in-house mortgage adviser. Whilst the experience was ok and Sabina was a great advisor (the only star), this was followed by multiple guarantees and affirmations the buyer could move quickly and could break any chain. I was told I should instruct solicitors quick which made me started the process really fast plus the fact I had a cash buyer waiting to buy my property. For months Barnard Marcus lied by dismissing the lack of commitment from the buyer who didn't even fully instructed solicitors (and made a few changes throughout). Either by ingenuity and / or lack of experience, I decided to get a full house survey which costed me around 1.5k and incurred all the other costs such as searches, mortgage application and so on. I politely asked Barnard Marcus for updates which were always dismissed by "all in control" statements which were clearly a lie. They even proposed a mortgage offer extension, a contact for rental, and another "suitable" property which was not only upsetting but an insult. At no stage they apologised for the lack of judgement as the buyer was clearly not ready to move or serious about the process. I lost my cash buyer due to the time taken in the process and whilst I fully understand house sales are a risk, I would expect people to put themselves in others shoes and at least act with dignity, honesty and respect...

From arranging our first viewing through to finalising details of our mortgage the team at Barnard Marcus in Thornton Heath have been amazing. Steven was incredibly helpful co-ordinating multiple viewings and when it came to putting our offer in he was great at keeping us in the loop and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. As the initial part of the process had been so smooth with Steven we decided to go with Barnard Marcus’s in house mortgage broker too, Rebecca was super helpful and made us feel totally at ease. As first time buyers there was a lot to take in but Rebecca was so lovely and patient, always taking the time to run through options with us and explain everything everything really clearly… she even came in on a Saturday to do the final mortgage application! Thank you so much guys, will definitely be recommending to friends.

Long term house letting in Ealing, London

We had contacted Barnard Marcus, Ealing Branch after unsatisfactory service from other local agents. We hoped to let our house on a long term contract and be able to travel abroad. The house in Ealing, London is two story four bedroom property with garden back and front. Our preference was for a professional couple with one or two children. We were abroad when the lettings manager Anthony Wozniake contacted us with the good news that a couple from abroad had shown interest and satisfied our criteria, would be travelling to London shortly early December 2022 to view and possibly finalise the contract. The manager and his assistant Tamesha Byron were extremely helpful with their guidance and practical help to us and we believe also to the clients.These included drawing up contract terms, procedures, preparing the house for letting as well as advise on legal matters and signing.We are very happy with the pre and post letting service and have also kept in touch with Mr Wozniake and received useful advice and explanations post letting.

Review for the Ealing BranchMany thanks to the Ealing branch for the purchase and letting of our flat in Ealing.Being overseas owners, our special thanks to Will Wigley for the purchase and Antony Wozniak for the letting.From the first time we reached out to Will for our interest in purchasing a flat he answered immediately and was very responsive by telephone contact and via email advising on available properties that met what we were looking lead finally to the purchase of our flat in Ealing. Professional and enthusiastic, dealing proactively with both the seller and the buyer actually helped in reaching to the exchange date.After completion on 15 November 2022 Antony and his team took over the letting process and to our amazement a tenant was found ready to move in by end of November. Although the first tenant declined at the last moment, another tenant was found immediately after who was arranged with contract signed to start 7 December 2022. It was our pleasure to deal with the Ealing branch and we recommend using and trusting this agency. Letting agents are liars

Their letting agents are liars, they lied about the cleaning services and other fixations before move in, they kept pushing for deposits. They delayed all the documentation until the last minute, when I got the key and went to the apartment it stinked, it was dirty and windows were full of mold. Beaware of the letting agent in their finchley branches.

Evil company

Evil company. Nothing is good about them. When we moved in refrigerator broke down we let them know they didn't even answer. We had to buy new one. End of our contract they asked can you sell the refrigerator for a reasonable price we said ok, they never paid. End of our contract they raised %40 rent. We had to move out.They never came for inventory check and It took 5 months to get our deposit back. They never contacted us. Not even once. At least 20 times I contacted them but they just ignored. Which is deposit must be paid in ten days. 5 months without any single information. Everything I wrote here I can prove. I have kept every single message and email.
