TrustpilotAVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Paid company full management fees - failed to ask tenant to sign new contract, failed to notify us as Landlord. Tenant left early - huge amount of property damage. Barnard Marcus got all the quotes for remedial works and then failed to present to Ombudsman. Consequently we lost deposit and had to bear loss of rental income and all damage. Totally awful unprofessional deceitful company - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I was told I had to move out of my rental in May and felt anxious at the thought of finding something suitable. I had the pleasure of meeting Megan from the Epsom branch. Megan has gone above and beyond to help me. She always kept in touch, she has been reassuring and always approachable and professional. When she went on holiday, she put me in contact with her colleague Courtney as prior to her going away, I saw a property advertised that I really wanted. Megan made sure that everything was in place before she went away and took time out of her day on holiday to touch base with her colleague about this property. Thank you so much Megan!

Spoke to Danny in Thornton Heath office to arrange to view a property for sale. He was rude and unpleasant from the get go. It was obvious to me that he has an attitude problem and his manner was rude and abrupt throughout the conversation.He offered an 11am viewing on Saturday and I politely asked him if he could make it a bit later and his response was to hang up on me! How rude! I phoned back and reluctantly accepted 11am but he continued to be rude and unpleasant. My partner attended the viewing(I was held up) and Danny was rude and unpleasant to her as well! Where do they get these people from?!I have had problems with Barnard Marcus,Thornton Heath before. The staff are rude and unpleasant and I would advise you to avoid this agent.

I used Barnard Marcus for the sale of my property and the purchase of my new property they were great (specifically Michael Griffin and Jill Parry). I found with a few other estate agents when getting valuations that they can be quite pushy however Michael was the total opposite, he provided me with my valuation and all the information I would need to make an informed decision about selling my home and didn't try to push me into getting on the market before I was ready. My sale was actually not straight forward at all as I was buying a new build which came with a delayed completion date. Michael managed to find me a buyer that was happy to complete when I was ready move which was going to take up to 6 months. (I can't imagine there are many people who buy a home and will be that patient). Once prices had been agreed, the exchange process began which had several bumps in the road (solicitors fault) all of which Michael and Jill stayed on top of to keep things moving. Jill kept me updated as much as humanly possible and if it had not been for her im not sure we would have exchanged on the day that we did. Overall I would absolutely recommend selling or buying with Barnard Marcus, they ticked all the boxes for me and charge reasonable fees based on other quotes I was provided.

GoogleAfter the initial conversation where the Head of Sales, Louise, told us they had people in our area who wanted to buy, it all went downhill. 1. First viewing, Darren, told the buyer that the price of the flat was 400k and the lease was 120 years. It was on for 375k and the lease was 88 years. Maybe a mistake, fair enough? 2. My wife stayed at home to wait for a viewing which never materialised. The agent didn't answer phone calls or text messages. Turned out she had said there was a viewing despite being on holiday. 3. Part of the agreement was that they wouldn't list the property on Rightmove because it was already on with Purple Bricks. A couple of weeks later we got a call from our other agent telling us it had gone up on Rightmove. 4. The price on Rightmove was 350k. We had explicily said we wouldn't list with Bernard Marcus unless they could get a price of 360k or more because it wasn't worth it. We received an email from Louise saying that they dropped the price because of the confusion it was causing clients to see two prices on Rightmove from them and Purple Bricks (which they were perfectly aware of). This was done without consulting us. 5. Just generally the constant hassle phonecalls and strong sales tactics to get us on the books. Then once on terrible service, mistakes and misdirection. Would avoid in future.

I don't feel any trust on them according to my experience to invite them for our property's valuation. SWANS Estate Agents advertised our property with asking price of £225,000. Then Alpha Residential Estate Agents advertised our property with offers over £195,000. They even found me a buyer with offer of £185,000. But I refused the offer because our purchase price was £190,000 on 31-Mar-2021. ------------- But Barnard Marcus advised for asking price of £180,000. {I think that It's because another company called AMG Ltd (our mortgage lender's assets management company) was in contact with Barnard Marcus about our property. Barnard Marcus' agent told me about AMG Ltd works for those who can't pay mortgage repayments.}

Inquired about a property which we wanted to buy in cash. Had the misfortune of speaking to a very rude Callum. Conversation went like this:We: Interested in purchasing this property on cash. Can we view it. Callum: No. We: Umm, ok, could we atleast see a video?Callum: No. We: How are you proposing to sell this without us being able to see it?Very rude abrupt responses. This really isn't how you sell properties. I would never ask them to sell mine.

Very poor service from whetstone office. 2 sales that fell through with hardly any communication. I was doing all the chasing up. Manager even asked me to lie to my solicitor in order to satisfy the buyer. Lazy service and unprofessional

Positive, proactive and friendly is how I would describe Kelly and her team at the Ealing branch. Kelly found me great buyers at a time when flats in London were hard to sell! She was also excellent at moving things along when they got stuck as they often do when buying and selling property. Imogen also deserves praise for her charming efficiency in welcoming me as a client and dealing with viewings etc. Excellent job all round!

Barnard Marcus Muswell Hill, is a practical and realistic team, with a personal approach, resolving sales matters in person, over the phone and by following up emails with a chat. They are from my experience realistic and you might have to wait for the right applicant but they turn out to be the right fit and successful candidate/s for your property. In fact I had 4 offers more than enough to choose from. That comes with experience and knowledge of the area and fitting the right applicants to affordability and lifestyle. So this kind of experienced wisdom which Leon and Eva display as a team is very , very, extra special. It certainly benefited me and got me through successfully to a successful sale for my property which was marketed by Barnard Marcus Muswell Hill. We are currently in the process of completing both the sale and purchase of our properties with Barnard Marcus, Feltham, where all the staff that we have had dealings with, in particular James and Evan, have shown us nothing but professionalism throughout the process. They have kept us up to date on both the sale and purchase from the moment we walked through their door and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending them and would definitely use them again in the future. There may be some negative reviews about the service they provide, however we can honestly say this has not been our experience and people reading these reviews should not be put off by them.

Barnard Marcus Tooting- The most unprofessional team of people. Refused to provide a contact number for our landlord when our house was in dangerous condition, mould, rats, broken toilet, broken shower etc… Stated they have nothing to do with the property anymore, however our rent is sent to them directly every month. Manager Marta was very rude and ended the phone on me when I tried to explain that the house is not suitable to live in. Avoid this estate agents.

I would not recommend anyone to use them. I bought property through them and I lost of lot of money. Its partly my mistake as I didn't know its possible to sell property without person who sells the property not being the owner of the property. They lied to me that person is in the process of the registration and it will take few months. The true was something else. It took me 11 months to register that property with massive Council Tax bill for empty property as well as heroin squatters being inside for 6 months.Two weeks is very short of period to check all tricks that they use to get you into trouble and unsolvable problems. You have to have very experienced solicitors who can read their selling contract special conditions which are usually on written on 20 pages adding all sort of hidden cost on top of the auction price. I paid 8k plus buyers solicitors fee. Mind you they have their own solicitors company who writes this kind od special conditions and "Clients" who they selling for. As I said if you don't have big experience with Bernard Marcus Auctions sale methods don't bother to go there and bid for the properties as you can make costly mistake regret it big time. There are not good deals there for anyone...

Barnard Marcus of Covent Garden are excellent estate agents. The Branch Manager is Francesca Lewis. I was contacted by them a few months ago and they have now sold my two bedroom flat in Pimlico.The money is now in my bank account gaining interest.My optimistic asking price was £550,000, and Jake Tharp, the Assistant Branch Manager, managed to achieve a respectable £530,000, with property prices in London falling all the time, and a potential general UK financial crisis on its way very soon.They are all good people, professional, proactive, friendly and patient in a stressful activity for us all. I recommend them to everyone.

We have recently shifted into New Maden property managed by Barnard Marcus. Letting agents were kind and nice.We have a list of repairs & requests within a week of shifting into this new house, which was communicated by email, phone & in person.We were told the handyman was busy & will come last week which of course he never did .Follow up with the in person meeting in Barnard Marcus office in New Malden & was told he will come today on 14th Aug in the morning. I pushed my online (teaching) Yoga Session to the next day, and again we were disappointed. It is very frustrating to chase them and be in waiting line, hoping to hear from them, which never happens.We do not like to rant, unfortunately we are left with no choice but resort to social media. I hope Barnard Marcus could pull up their socks & be more pro active & faster in resolving tenant requests. Alternatively let us interact directly with the owner if you cannot manage their property properly.Thank you Best regardsPam
