And when is was time to buy our place, Simon and Jez were absolutely exceptional! We had our placed valued and on the market with another agent. Barnard Marcus wrote to me to say they had a cash buyer specifically interested in our property. We varied our contract with another agent to allow for joint agency so we could contract with Barnard Marcus. After the contract was signed they ignored me for two weeks. There was no interested buyer. Fine, I fell for the oldest trick in the book, but as far as I'm concerned that's just dishonesty. They lied. Worse, they ignored us and had terrible customer service. Plus they got loads of details on the online listing wrong. I cancelled the contract during the cooling off period and I had to hassle them for several days (after the cancellation) to remove the listing. Unethical. Now, some brash bozo in their Southampton head office keeps badgering me on the phone. When I said I didn't have time to speak he rudely hung up. Needless to say, I don't recommend them.

From day one, Jakub identified our needs and found the perfect match for us, he was attentive, patient, and genuinely understanding. There were several obstacles throughout the process, both on our side and the landlord’s, but Andreja and Jakub worked tirelessly to resolve every issue that came up. It’s no exaggeration to say that we would never have managed to find such a perfect home or negotiate a deal that suited us so well without them; their support was absolutely crucial. They are not only excellent professionals but also excellent people who truly care about everyone involved and strive to reach the best outcome for all parties.

AVOID MONEY HUNGRY

I instructed the Sutton branch to sell my property and, after some discussion regarding the asking price, my flat was successfully sold. I would like to say a big thank you to the salesperson and the sales manager, who were both professional, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the sales progression at the Sutton branch, and this is the main reason for my negative review. As someone who works in the property industry, I have a good understanding of the sales progression process from start to finish. Sadly, the way our sale was handled caused my wife and me a great deal of unnecessary stress. There were repeated issues with communication and constant pressure to meet deadlines so that linked transactions could exchange and complete, allowing the agents to receive their commission. Rather than helping to move the process forward smoothly, the experience became far more stressful than it needed to be. Thankfully, everything has now completed, we have moved into our new home, and the matter is behind us. While I appreciate the excellent work of the salesperson and sales manager, the poor sales progression experience means I cannot recommend the Sutton branch as a whole.

Never use them to let your flat out they lie about tenants they are putting in

Used by my fellow homeowner & friend in our small block of flats . They lied to her told her a professional woman in her 40’s they had lined up to rent her flat . Absolute rubbish the woman that moved in very young here on family reunion visa no hate but they lied . There is now 3 adult men , that young woman & her new baby living up there in a tiny 1 bedroom flat . Noisy , other issues. I’ve complained to Bernard Marcus as a homeowner in same small block . TOTALLY IGNORED . Do not ever use them to manage your home as a rental - ever! Liars who do not care . They will know exactly the property I’m writing about in Chiswick . Near Gunnersbury station . Never bothered to address my complaint or concerns about the amount of people living in that flat with the so called ‘professional’ woman in her 40’s they said they had dealt with before & knew. Liars . The owner is trying to remove them - I hope she sues Bernard Marcus for their deceit and complete unprofessional behaviour . I will definitely back her up 100% .

Really unprofessional agency.. and I don’t speak only for my self but for the full building.. they take literally 6 month to give back to us the deposit back, which normally if everything is ok by low is need only 10 day! Everyone literally had problem with that, they try in every way with excuses.. even if the landlord say to give back from the beginning! Very disappointing customer service

Very disappointing customer service. I called as a genuine prospective buyer interested in one of their auction properties and spoke with Jesse. I explained that I was new to the auction process and had several questions about the property, including whether I could speak with the auctioneer or someone actually handling the lot. Unfortunately, the conversation felt extremely dismissive and uninterested. Rather than trying to help, answer my questions, or direct me to someone who could, I was left feeling as though my enquiry was an inconvenience. When someone is considering making such a significant financial commitment, particularly through an auction, I would expect professional, helpful and welcoming customer service. First-time auction buyers should be guided towards the appropriate person, not made to feel uncomfortable for asking questions. A very disappointing first impression.
