I couldn’t rate Zuzanna Kubani highly enough!

Zuzanna Kubani conducted the viewings for us in Earl’s Court and Chelsea and if I could have rated her a 10 out of 5, I would have. She went over and above her call of duty in every possible way - from saving a parking spot for us to guiding us to every destination, she was prompt, proficient, courteous and generally absolutely lovely. She always took care to keep the vendors informed both before and after our visit -in case they wanted to leave the property before our arrival and return to it after we’d left. Im happy with the speed and dexterity with which Zuzanna and Barnard Marcus arranged our viewings.

Completely Awful People

After much deliberation and back and forth I agreed to let BM to market my property. Its all started very pleasant with one persona than he disappeared and ended up dealing with the James the manager. He never returned any calls. Getting an update calls with complete rubbish-just for the sake of it so they look they are updating you etc etc..Agents came around whom had no idea of the property, they were late but couldn't be bother to let anyone know. Ever time is a different agent, clueless..Absolutely they had no intension of doing anything even after reduced the price. They didn't even respond to the enquiries. No surprisingly they couldn't sell it. They took it off the market without even telling or asking for extension of the contract. Once the contract ended January still waiting for my house keys to be returned. Can I have my keys back please.?Don't waste your time with these people, see the reviews how bad they are. I wish I checked it before agreeing to go with them.

Probably one of the worst estate agents…

Probably one of the worst estate agents in the UK. They are pushy and fast when trying to rent you a property, but once that is done they literally ghost you and never reply back. After more than a year renting, they never sent an inventory of the flat, the flat was originally delivered extremely dirty and they didn't care and they never reply their emails unless there are payments involved. They just don't care. If possible, avoid.

Agent did not show up at appointment

I scheduled a view for a flat to rent with a Barnard Marcus agent in the Kennington Branch. I couldn't choose the time of the viewing, but I did confirm my attendance and took some time off work, as the appointment was in working hours.When I arrived at the property, the agent did not show up, so I rang the bell and the tenant informed me that the landlord already accepted an offer. I did ring the agency and they confirmed that. They did give me a cold apology about the issue and said that they would give feedback to the agent, however they did not offer to show me more properties available in the area.I was so upset about their lack of care that I asked them to remove my details from their database.

I put a house for sale through Barnard Marcus and even though its competitors kept telling me that Barnard Marcus is not a specialist in higher value homes, which was my case, I stuck with them. Louise and her colleagues were very professional and attentive, they followed the process very dilligently and sure enough an offer came at asking price. When I get back to the market I will surely use them again

Do not use their recommend solicitor

Do not use their recommend solicitor. For the start tell end 4 solicitors have changed! Can't get hold of them! They have no ideas what they doing. All my personal detail have been passed onto 4 solicitors! Barnet Marcus in Barnet...very disappointed with them. Not just the uncorrect detail have passed on to the buyer. The agent have tell the buyer i agreed on paying the extend lease fees which i never knew about! I told them no renting first 2 years...again the buyer didn't know! At the end the buyer pull out ! 8 months have wasted ! Can't offer a house i like! Miss my stamp duty free! I have to start all over again. My experience is there some people work for this company can't be trusted !Will not recommend this agents to anyone !

just wanted to write a few words about…

just wanted to write a few words about barnard marcus ( putney branch) as it may go some way to helping people who are considering using them. my property was on sale with them for 4 to 5 months & to say the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing is an understatement. so much so that after 3 months of being with them their head office would call me and say was i still interested in my property up for sale with them 🤷‍♂️🙈.... i sold my property finally after using a far better agent ( funny that) and when i got back in contact with the solicitors ( recommended ) to me at the time by b.m ( cavendish).. they were equally as hapless as b.m. you live and learn and if this can be of any use to point people in the right direction of douglas & gordon & away from barnard marcus, it will be worthwhile.

I made an offer with Chris Whetstone …

I made an offer with Chris Whetstone Branch 1285 high road. Did not except anything less than asking price. At the beginning I have offered them 10K less than the asking price then Chris back to me he said the landlord will accept only the asking price I waited two weeks after me and my family made very hard decisions we have increased to the asking price.Then Chris said Landlord thinking to increase price even without talking anything with anyone making own decisions playing games.I found this is very unprofessional also we have been disgusted. I have worked with many estate agents I have never come that kind of experience until Barnard Marcus come along. Truly awful experience, wouldn't recommend!!

My experience with Barnard Marcus was atrocious from when we first moved into our flat (Feb 2020) all the way to now (January 22). When we moved into our flat, it was filthy and multiple things damaged, we raised this issue and nothing was done about it. Throughout our tenancy we had issues such as rat infestation and a broken fridge, amongst other things, I had to threaten to take money out of rent to pay for our new fridge. Since we moved out of the property in October 2021, we still haven't had our deposit back and they're trying to charge us for cleaning of the garden and flat. I have never had such a bad experience of an estate agents in my life and would never ever recommend them to anyone as they are inadequate and all about getting tenants in for the money.

Dealt with east sheen branch. Bunch of liars. You will notice that they dont put anything in an email. They will not response to your emails, they will call you instead. I guess it is easier to lie over the phone. They showed us a flat in Barnes that the seller / buyer about to exchange the contracts. We didnt know what was going on. We made an offer and they used our offer to force actual buyer to increase his. This might be legal but I dont think it is ethical. Very poor. Kevin

NEVER AGAIN! IM HURT

I’m currently private renting with Barnard Marcus and I honestly will NOT recommend it. They have put me through hell and back, lied to me on numerous occasions. It takes about 3 weeks for them to even get back to you regarding any issues you have. I just can’t explain the problems and pain they have put me through, it’s honestly so hurtful and I regret signing that contract. I’m just praying to God my 12 months agreement ends quickly so I can move far away from them. I’ve lost so much money and time dealing with Barnard Marcus, never again. I recommend everyone runs far away from them, just a hurtful situation to be in.

I was interested in one of their auctions…

I was interested in one of their properties for auction. I tried to get more info from them about problem areas, and they said they didnt have any more info/pics. Then I tried to register for the auction and had all kinds of trouble. They kept refusing for missing corners of ids, not clear enough utility bill, etc. Of course, I was already registered with them for the past 2 years but apparently they need to recheck things. Then they wanted me to have ~$10k+ in a uk bank account. Finally, they gave me one day to send them a ~$10k deposit via wire transfer to participate in the auction which I couldnt complete in that timeframe. Seeing all of these other bad reviews makes me glad I didnt get to participate in the auciton...

AWFUL - AVOID AVOID AVOID SANDERSTEAD BRANCH

I usually don't look at reviews when completing things and didn't even think to consider checking what the estate agent reviews would be like, now reading through them its no surprise. I too would like to have scored less than 1, but sadly this is not an option. It's hard as you tend to find the property you would like to buy and then it's out of your hands as to which estate agent the seller has decide to go with, however I was not prepared for what this really had in store for me. They handled everything atrociously with not one ounce dignity, constantly applying pressure for no reason and if anything causing a delay to the whole buying process in general due to their 'applied pressure', which I can only assume was due to bonuses etc. Michael at the Sanderstead branch was particularly awful and had no respect what so ever, sending threatening emails multiple times. I must have lost count how many times he said 'I will instruct the seller to put the property back on the market'. He knew I was extremely interested in the property which I know own so there was no need for the additional stress he caused for no reason. It got to the point where the solicitors I was using even explained that they have never dealt which such a horrific estate agent and that their ways of working was unacceptable. Overall I would strongly advise to avoid this estate agent at all costs.

Unfortunately I didn't do my research. Extremely disappointed with the manager. Service and updates very bad. What a huge learning curve for me. As the saying goes "if I knew what I know now, I would never of gone with them..". I take responsibility for not doing my research.. Do not listen to the promises. At the end of the day find a company that knows your area well, has a track record, do your research. Do not just find someone on the internet, who tells you what you wanna hear.. Make sure their office is within walking distance if possible. Try and get a team that know what they are doing, are responsible and are honest. Just seems a massive scam.. Sooner we put property on the Blockchain, then we can all get away from estate agents, solicitors and ridiculous prices.

so...First impressions...I arranged valuation ..got a call to change date ..ok date changed..and comfirmed text..took the Saturday time out to meet at the property at 11am.... no-one turns up ..so I ring them and they cannot find my booked appointment...then was told they didn't book because they don't deal in my area...no phone call to tell me this...just don't turn up...joke, very unprofessional 🤬

I honestly don't know why anyone would choose to use this Estate Agent!

In all honesty, the service from Barnard Marcus is non existent. They talk a good story. However, feedback and proactive communication in relation to your property viewings is non existent. In addition to spending unnecessary time sending emails that are not responded too, I have had the misfortune to have been in some form of contact with individuals who have failed on numerous occasions, to communicate with me, despite repeated requests and their commitments, which have included 2 Branch Managers, Sales Manager from the Chiswick W4 branch and a ‘Head Office contact. If there were prizes for the most ineffective individuals, I suggest you would all be in with an excellent chance of winning joint first prize.
