GoogleHayley and Alicia from Hetheringtons helped us out with our move to Wanstead and they were brilliant. They managed to secure us an amazing apartment in our ideal area. They’ve remained communicative throughout and been a pleasure to work with to finalise all the details. The only reason I’ve given four stars rather than five is because, at times, it was difficult to get in touch with the South Woodford branch. Often I was redirected to another Hetheringtons branch which wasn’t able to help me with my problem. Overall, I would be happy to rent through Hetheringtons again and I’d recommend them to other prospective tenants.

GoogleCan´t comment from the landlord´s perspective but the service they provide for tenants is absolutely terrible. When anything breaks down in the rented property they would ignore emails, voicemails and all online communication, so you have to call them numerous times to get any information and any action taken. They always say they will call back but that never happens. Took them over 3 weeks to repair one washing machine that is now broken again. We have been reporting leaking wall for years and never got any response about that. Also they keep bothering a person who doesn´t live here for 8 months with inspection dates etc and when we called them (again, numerous times) to stop doing that and contact people who actually rent the property, they sent us an email asking how many people live here! Surely this is something an agency should know or at least care enough to read tenancy agreement before proving their incompetency with an email. And on top of that even after phone calls and emails clarifying who lives in the flat, they managed to contact the same person AGAIN which resulted in delay with sorting our broken appliance. Avoid if you can.
