Not worth your time. After waiting over a month for a flat, the estate agents gave us a viewing for the flat they gave us two days notice as they landlord required the flats to be seen in person to rent. I had to travel to London for this which was a 6 hour journey only to be told by the building manager that not only was he not aware that we were coming, but that all the flats that we were supposed to look at had been sold for almost a week. On top of this they have dodged our calls multiple times leading up to this and are refusing responsibility for their mistake and have been ignoring our calls after this incident. They have gained nothing from this and the three of us have lost time, money and have been left with nowhere to live.

I have been dealing with Karl and he really takes ownership and responsibility of what needs to be done. I'm a picky and demanding customer and yet, he has addressed everything I mentioned and works are progressing thanks to him. He is clear in what he can and can't do and always remains professional and always tries his best to find the best solution for both your landlord and you. I would advise everyone to avoid …

I would advise everyone to avoid Bairstowe Eves Great Barr. We received very poor disorganised service in our case. It all started badly with them getting our property mixed up with another! It ended badly with it taking 5 months to sell to our very keen cash buyer. When this same property was purchased in 2003 it was all done in less than two and a half months, obviously Bairstowe was not involved.

Wish I used an alternative agent.

Most expensive agent we had come to assess our property. Did the bare minimum at every step of the way and were not helpful in any way imaginable. Did not want to get involved in anything and we were left to do our own sales & purchase progression while paying a hefty premium for the privilege. My advice would be to avoid Bairstow Eves and use a cheaper agent, while you'll still have to do a lot of the legwork yourself, you'll save yourself thousands of pounds.

Moved out of a rented property…

Moved out of a rented property 29/07/2024. Chased and chased for updates about my deposit being returned only to keep being informed we are awaiting details from the landlady. According to my tenancy agreement I should have been informed within 10 days of any ‘proposed’ deductions. 3 weeks on and no further forward. If I was in breech of the tenancy agreement they would be quick to act but when it’s the other side.. nothing!

One of worst letting agent

One of worst letting agent , they don’t have any ethics, they just need money 💰, worst customer service, we got a flat for rent in worst condition, they gave without cleaning, used toilet didn’t even flush , really shame on them, when we gave a complaint they didn’t even apologise, and flat is also worst condition, it needs to refurbish but gave for rent. Full of oily kitchen, got shocked after seeing bathroom. Owner will not pick calls, this letting agent will not take responsibility, but they signed on behalf of owner on the agreement. But surely I will not leave them, I’ll post in every forums.

I don’t just make reviews unless I have to. But a family member has their house for sale with B&E. and quite frankly from what I keep hearing it’s not a very good service at all. I also did my own way of contacting as a perspective buyer. 5 times I made contact with the local branch and not once have made contact over the property I was enquiring about. It also concerns me that there is no main number to call them apart from the local branches which if they are not providing a good service it will be there word against yours over any complaints to head office. So they have eliminated anyway of taking an issue higher than the branch. Which you need to ask do you want sell or buy a house from this organisation ? Also my family member had their house reduced without any written confirmation of them taking this action. So it would appear they can do pretty much what they like in terms of when it suits them rather than what suits there customers.

PLEASE NEVER EVER RENT THROUGH THIS AGENT. The worst estate agent in London, by far. I have had one of the most stressful, disgusting experiences with this company. Not replying calls, not replying emails, charging me for things they never did. They lost the copy of the keys to my apartment and they asked me to cut a new copy and bring it to them as if it was my job, not being respectful about showing my house, accessing to my apartment without me know and leaving lights on, footprints on a carpet, windows open... On top of that, the person in charge of my tenancy was changing every two months, so it was impossible to understand who should I call to when I had a problem. It took them three months to release my deposit, they asked me to leave before my contract was finished and never reimbursed me for that. Honestly, please, NEVER rent a house in this agent, it is absolutely the worst renting experience I've ever had.

Total failure in Hucknall

Total failure. Rude and unprofessional staff. Very few viewing of the house. Promised communication failed to happen as the norm. Poor quality photographs of house and near illiterate description of house and garden. Agents appear to be in league with the one buyer to get a cut down price so the house could be rented out by them. If you want to sell a home in Hucknall try another agent.

Absolute worst estate agents! Took our 6 months rent upfront told us we could move into the property only to be told 5 hours after we were due to get the keys that we weren’t allowed to have the property after all! We had paid for removals and were literally sitting outside the house only to be mucked about for the entire day. Very disappointing and if we could give them zero stars we would!

Shockingly bad service Where do I start? I should have realised when they recommended prospective tenants who clearly could not afford the rent. That should have set off alarm bells. However they soon found other tenants who were keen , with the one proviso that the carpet be professionally cleaned. Luke the letting agent offered to get it done. I agreed as time was of the essence and I was reassured a quick and good job. I kept asking if/when it would be done with no answer apart from it would be done before the move in date. Day of handover the tenants pointed out to him the carpet clean was not done. I was not informed until 2 days later by the tenant. I have been fobbed off repeatedly by BE Bow. Still awaiting a resolution to this. Additionally I was told buy Luke to insure the deposit (which I did 10 days before it was paid). BE kept the deposit and insured it them selves! Still waiting for that to be paid even though they had 2 emails from me before and after tenants moved in, giving them our bank details Today I get an email with a form asking for our bank details as it had been paid to a different account. Luckily it was returned as the account had been closed years ago. These people are useless. They do not listen to you, nor do they read or pay any attention to the emails they receive. Nor does anyone seem to know how to operate a respectable lettings agency. They are a bunch of cowboys who are only interested squeezing as much money out of you as possible. I know times may be hard but the lack of professionalism and honesty lets this place down. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
