Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

Carlton office provide excellent service

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. Our transaction was fairly simple as we had a first time buyer buying our house and that was the end of the chain. I found communications excellent. Never any delays. Always helpful. Always on time. I have never received a worse service. Lies on top of lies. Living without a washing machine since November and nobody seems to care. We’re just being lied and every time the date for the delivery of a washing machine comes, they come up with something new to make up for not having received it. Nobody should go through this and public should know things like this before choosing to move it in a property managed by them. Essential things broke down and not even the branch manager is replying to your emails. There is just nothing you can do! Nobody deserves this. Definitely be mindful about Baistow eves in Stratford!!! Bad bad bad service.

Terrible estate agents that I would recommend avoiding at all costs! Very shady, manipulative practices that help neither buyers or sellers. I have no idea how their Google rating isn't worse than this, they are consistently complained about on local WhatsApp groups. Until they get closed down - AVOID!

Karl Genchi was fantastic from beginning to end of the lettings process; he values both his landlords and tenants with the same high regard and also takes a pride in what he does. We were hit with something to the tune of about 10 problems when moving in a tenant recently and Karl calmly and efficiently hammered them all with the utmost urgency and professionalism. To all landlords leave them as soon as you can. These people don't listen to landlords. They done investigate. They only work to pass on cost to landlord. They dont care if the property is damaged or not been looked after. They even done care if tenant is in breach of tenancy agreement.

We were delighted with the market insights provided by Scott Lewis & the overview by the branch manager Ian Merchant to keep the legal process on track. A huge thanks to the team at Stratford, especially Scott. I recently bought a property with these guys on the seller's end, and Scott really pulled out all the stops to get questions answered and smooth over any crossed wires between our conveyancers. The negotiation process was made pragmatic and quick, and, for a first-time buyer, having Scott's years of experience on my side made the entire process a lot less painful than it could have been. They are a well-established team with masses of expertise, and clients come back to them year after year; I'll be doing the same when I next come to buy or sell. Office easy to find a stone's throw from central Stratford, available 6 days a week, large portfolio and absolute experts in the local area. Cannot recommend them enough.
