TrustpilotI received poor service from west kirby office
Rang and arranged for evaluation. To begin with a member of staff from west kirby office arrived late. Then rather than give me the evaluation said he would let me know. 24 hours later ive heard nothing. By the way we are selling 2 houses at same time . I rang again and was told they would get back to me , which they didnt. My experience has been no communication and poor service and due to this jc have lost sale of two houses

TrustpilotAbsolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible! They show absolutely no care in the world for their tenants! They forget whay they speak to you, they ignore you, and they don't seem to want to respect their contracts. Just for reference, I reported some relatively easy to fix maintentance issues 2 months ago and they still haven't been solved. They are just the worst! Stay away from them if you value your sanity

GoogleI was recently assisted by Bobbi and Alex, when seeking to rent a property. These ladies provided an outstanding service, they where so helpful and frequently went out of their way to assist me in any way they could, and allowed for a smooth and efficient house move in what was a very stressful time! They continued to keep in touch throughout the whole process, and where always on hand to answer any of my thousand and one questions. I can’t thank them enough!

GoogleI cannot thank them enough. We really really was desperate for a property due to being homeless and let down by another estate agent. We managed to find a perfect home and we moved in 1 week later, Bobbi-Jo & Nicola have been the most efficient people ever. We got constant updates, was always kept in the loop. For the first time we didn't have to do the chasing which made the move so much easier, they work incredibly hard i cannot recommend them enough. We plan on using them again next time we move due to how incredible they were. highly recommended. THANK YOU!!

GoogleRecently rented a property via Jones & Chapman. Having dealt with some truly awful city centre letting agents in the past, I have been pleasantly surprised by my experiences with them. Agents Alex and Bobbi always dealt with my queries in a polite and friendly manner, and were accommodating when I was slightly late to a viewing last thing on a Friday! The process of signing everything and putting the agreement in place (including bills, made convenient by one of their affiliate companies) was efficient and I was kept in the loop constantly. Three weeks later here I am keys in hand with a lovely, well-maintained apartment to rent for the foreeseable future. Keep up the good work ladies!

Bebington branch.
Went to view a property with Jones and Chapman at a prearranged time to have the door shut in my face as agent had other viewers. Attempts to escalate to senior managers met with resistance
Poor communication and customer service
Reluctant to return.

TrustpilotI am writing this review as a potential Frustrated Purchaser
I am writing this review as a potential purchaser of a house on their site, the house was setup on a “modern auction”, which is short for “estate agent gets a lot of money and everyone else involved either gets less or pays more”. However my feedback is not based on that it’s about the complete lack of transparency of the purchase process or aspect of it.. The property sale page mentions it being sold under “modern auction” and refers to T&C.. and that where it ends with a reference, I searched the site there is no mention of “modern auction” anywhere about from the page where it’s, not what this means including..When the sale isWhat the terms of the sale areLegal pack availability (if any)The cost of the process...Nothing zip zero.. lack of transparency... just a bit but here is the kicker we were told twice VERBALLY only. That the fee was £6k... ( this is on a house with a “guide price of 63k ) no details on whether this was including or excluding VAT. However since it not written down anywhere on the site It could be a arbitrary figure. The “modern auction” is a rip off at the best of times and is under investigation by trading standards, due to lack of transparency. However Jones and Chapman if you are reading this please not there is a huge difference between lack of transparency, and no transparency with no supporting information available on you primary sales portal.

Put house on the market and paid for the overpriced package.Signed contract , monies handed over then that was that. 3 viewings all carried out by me. I was promised an open house, booked a weekend away, never did i hear nor see sales man again once monies exchanged his words were " it's in our interest to find you somewhere to move to" , not even one contact , suggestion or follow up. Put in a complaint it was ignored. Took house off the market. Them some months later received a glossy brochure through the door with my house plastered all over the front as sold subject to terms. All my photos were on leaflet and these were distributed throughout the neighbourhood with no authorisation from me.They offered £50 , they breached their own contract.I didn't take the £50. I would not recommend them.

GoogleI bought a property through Jones and Chapman (first-time buyer), and they were very professional throughout the process. Despite the difficulties of lockdown/CoVid they were timely in their responses and were able to help guide me through the buying process, and field any questions I had about what would happen next! Bobbi-Jo from the sales team was very helpful, and kept me in the loop about what was happening with my offer as well!PositiveResponsiveness

GoogleI would like to say that I have had exemplary service from James in the lettings department at Jones and Chapman and previously when he worked in the service centre.
Every time I contact him I get a swift response and he always deals with any issue in a polite and professional manner and always see the problem through to a resolution, very good customer service.

GoogleWe were quite disappointed with the process of agreeing a tenancy through J&C at Allerton Road. We had a great start with our letting agent who was very helpful during the viewing and assured we would secure the property throughout the referencing process. However, the process of getting the tenancy set up and move in proved more difficult than it should have been and this could have been prevented. We were assured that the property would receive professional cleaning before we moved in, but the place hadn't been cleaned at all. Rotten food in the fridge, lots of mould in the shower room, and a faulty window that was jammed open letting in the cold.
We moved into our property on the Friday and on Saturday received a surprise visit from the letting agent after confusion over the keys and apartment numbers between another member of the Allerton Road team. It felt very unprofessional and a breach of privacy, especially as they had a couple with them to view the property and asked if they could come in and look around our apartment while they were there. The letting agent in question realised quickly that it was unprofessional and left quite embarrassed. Mistakes like this happen all the time and we completely understand that, but far too many errors were made in the referencing and move-in process that could have been accounted for if the team at Allerton Road worked better together and communicated with each other more. Despite all the errors along the way we are happy we secured the property that we are living in now, we love the location and building, and are happy to be dealing with our landlord directly now.

GoogleI am very disappointed with the service I received. I had an offer accepted on a house and staff at Jones and Chapman agreed to send their own surveyor in because I had concerns about the woodwork. When I did not hear anything back I phoned the office and left a message on their answerphone but was never called back. When I phoned again I was told that another buyer was now proceeding with the property. When I questioned why I had not been informed the reply was 'well we're telling you now'. Highly unprofessional.

GoogleUnforgettably hopeless.
I brought a house via this company - I use that term in the vaguest sense of the word. The team are more akin to a gaggle than a co-ordinated business. I purchased a house that they were selling that completed late last year. From enquiry to completion Jones and Chapman did nothing but be obstructive and difficult - almost entirely out of ineptitude rather than I believe malintent.
Just as a taste of their incompetence when I went to collect the keys for the house I had purchased - at some considerable expense as I’m sure everyone is aware - Jones and Chapman kindly gave me the keys to another property... I’ll just let that sink in....
In retrospect I’m sure this is not an isolated incident as their system of knowing which keys belong to which house is hopeless - they would be better of keeping all the keys in a pot and picking them out at random rather than continuing to use their current systems.
I would be surprised if they have a license to work as an estate agent and in fact I’d be rather relieved if they didn’t as they’re mere existence as a registered estate agent debases the industry.

GoogleVery difficult to get in contact with the right department, seems that people are to set in their role and haven't got the capacity to step up and take responsibility for another department, not very helpful or supportive when you are trying to get a bit of advice, quite disappointing really. seems also that only certain people within a department have access to any useful information and if they are absent then there is not much point going in. I have asked for somebody to contact me and that does not happen. so far after a really promising start with lots of help, the after care has been a let down.

GoogleI have never dealt with such rude, unprofessional, incompetent, and more importantly dishonest agents. Carol Walton from the Liverpool branch basically lied to us throughout the entire process. We jumped through hoops to provide all the necessary IDs she needed to take the property off the market. She made it extremely difficult and despite all our good efforts and delivering all the required documents, she never took the property off the market and lied to us saying that there is a technical glitch and that is why she cannot take it off the website. The vendor pulled out weeks later and we lost all our solicitor and valuation fees. When we called Carol, she pretended she did not know anything, never followed up with us with any sort of explanation and to this day we still see the property we tried to purchase advertised on Jones and Chapman's Liverpool website. Awful service. Avoid, unless you want to be lied to.

GoogleAs a buyer, Jones and Chapman were great; communicative, helping and efficient, throughout! Having had less favourable experiences as a buyer and renter, with other estate agent in the area, this was a welcome change! Having a sales progressor was particularly useful!
Especially appreciated at what I know is a busy and difficult time for so many of us.
Thank you all!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
