Horrible company

Horrible company. Never answer calls. They get the young girl on the desk to make excuses and never return calls. False promise after false promise. There are better estate agents around. Avoid these liars at all costs!

This estate agents is a complete waste…

This estate agents is a complete waste of time and money.I offered on a property, offer was accepted, valuation booked and paid for, searches started, ready for completion in 2 weeks. They have accepted an offer from another buyer. What a waste of time, I’m an experienced landlord and this has never happened to me with other estate agents.Usually I have a good relationship with my estate agents and they work well with me as they know I buy a couple of properties every year. Never using these people again

this might come across a bit harsh

this might come across a bit harsh but do not view ,sell , or rent your property through this company i paid full asking price for a property they marketed on monday i offered them full £425000 tuesday they made me run around asking for silly documents eg driving licence copy but needs to be in colour i spoke to the seller who accepted my offer and by friday my solicitor had contacted them my mortgage advisor has given them all required. Why not be honest they kept showing the property to buyers even though the seller had said no he tells me they told him he had signed a contract.the 2 ladys who work in thjs office julia and steph have no idea and customer service they dont understand.there words we work for the seller buyers dont mean anything to uson monday they started playing myself off with others and coming with, would you like to up your offer as we got higher than the asking price.my point on all this is why not just be honest and say we will keep viewing open and best price gets instead off making you run around for silly documents when theyve no intention of accepting the offer.

I would give no stars if I could

I would give 0 if I couldJust enquired to the blackpool office about a house a snotty young girl answered and told me more or less not to bother with a viewing as they already had quite a few and to call back in a few days and see if it had gone. She kept talking over me butting in and even laughed at me at one point. She then said if I wanted a viewing she would have to put my details in a computer which I think she wasn't happy about and is why she put me off. Will never contact these again.

What a disaster

I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews but the customer service was quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced. If they would allow me to a zero star rating, I most definitely would do. The level of incompetence is beyond belief. The most unprofessional estate agents I’ve ever had the displeasure to deal with. I spoke to one their members of staff last Thursday 11/02/2021 and arranged a property viewing for Wednesday 17/02/2021. I travelled from over an hour away and when I got there the property had a sold sign up. No one bothered to notify me. All it would have taken is a simple phone call to advise me of this and it would have saved me the unnecessary journey. They even had the nerve to say the viewing wasn’t logged on their records but continue to spam my inbox with other properties available in the area. They didn’t have the decency to cancel the appointment or notify me property had been sold on the Friday. Made me drive more than 2 hours (there and back) for no reason. Avoid at all costs! If you do decide to use their services I’d suggest calling them in advance on the day of the viewing because if the property has been sold since you booked your viewing chances are they will NOT notify you at all. One of the worst agency we dealt with

One of the worst agency we dealt with. Unprofessional approach from the allerton branch manager. Raised official complaint to their customer service but offered £50 as compensation !!! Refused their offer as money was not our intention but no further action taken against the complaint. Due to time constraints did not move further.

Missing Keys & Missing estate agent

Today I was meant to be viewing a flat apartment building for rent via another online estate, but entwistle also had some affiliation towards the property, not only did they say that the building itself had already had a Tennant, which wasn't correct, the person who had the key for viewing the property wasn't even at the branch in question on that particular day. What kind of estate agents let's there estate agents waltz off with keys to the property when there were multiple viewings scheduled for the property that very day! This is my first time looking to rent a property, I will be staying far away from any properties advertised with an Entwhistle in future, they couldn't organise a chimps tea party never mind mind a housing & letting agency, I have found this episode to to be absolute champoluc disgrace, steer clear of them

Just stay away from this thieving…

Just stay away from this thieving company if you end the contract with them for 24 months you still have to pay them if you sell it yourself. it's in small print of contract that they make you sign. They are under different companies Countrywide. Go with honest Estate agents like Sapphire don't get ripped off. Don't find it the hard way. They promise more than other states agents but as their poor reviews you can see best thing you can do stay away from them.

If I could give this company a minus 10…

If I could give this company a minus 10 I would. Stay away from this company it is nothing but bad news. We had a leak since December and other things started to go wrong shortly after. It took more than 7 months to get any repairs done although they had 4 months to do repairs prior to the lockdown. During the lockdown they did not reply to a single email of ours until we sent a letter to the landlord saying that we are leaving. When the landlord received this letter than the bells started ringing. We have wanted to leave early due to the poor service from both landlord and lettings agency but they’re not letting us. Instead we can only leave on their terms and not ours. The team are extremely manipulating and misleading. True con artists.

Worst estate agent I have ever used

Worst estate agent I have ever used. I would not recommend this company. First of all check your contract period. We were locked in for 24 weeks. This is completely disheartening when you don't have many viewings or offers. The initial meeting was wonderful and the lady from Leyland Helen who came filled me with the upmost confidence. After this, the whole process became a disheartening mess. The rest of the branch hadn't a clue what was going on. I received very little feedback from viewings. The only offer we had was when Helen did the viewing, is she the only person working? They told our buyers one set of lies and didn't bother to communicate with us. For the £2700 we paid, I would look elsewhere for somewhere cheaper and with a more personal touch.

very poor will not do their duties

very poor will not do their duties. My daughter had mice in the flat and they refused to take any action even though it is the landlords responsibility. i had to deal with these mice at my own cost!! they do not act on concerns as her front security door has been broken for sometime, they admitted to knowing about this for sometime and had been reported by previous tenants but again had failed to take any action. this poor service compromises the flat security, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE DO NOT USE THIS SHODDY COMPANY

Just an awful company

Just an awful company. My property was listed with 'zero deposit, no fees' and it was quite the opposite. My parents had to help me scrape together nearly £700 in extra fees, they even tried to charge me £300 extra on top of that, but I queried what it was for. They didn't bat an eyelid as they took that off my invoice. It felt very much like they had tried to get an extra £300 off me. 'zero deposit' is the name of the company that you need to pay a percentage of your rent to, in order to get the property. This was around £150, and I'll never get that back. The way it was listed on the website was purposely misleading. I've had several issues with my property, and they couldn't care less. Even adding another tenant has cost me £50, but because they put it down as 'admin fees' they can get away with it. It's illegal.I'll never use these ever again. Lying, scamming bunch.

Friendly and helpful service

I wanted to buy a property in Bury which was on sale through the local branch. I did not proceed with the purchase in the end, due to the legal side (which was set up by the vendors). However, I was very pleased with the friendly help and interest given by the staff at the branch, and felt I wasn't just a number with them. I would certainly be happy to deal with them again, and hopefully next time the deal will go through.

Never answer the phones, voicemails or emails

The Liverpool branch has been comically difficult to contact for over a month. I started out with a simple call once per day, left a voicemail for a week or an email for a week. Now, I'll call 2-4 times a day at different times, leave a voicemail some days & send emails others simply trying to arrange a viewing to buy somewhere.

Breaching government rules and standards

Viewed a home we liked. Called the estate agent a day after to put in an offer! They refused to put the offer forward with us first seei4their financial adviser to offer us other products and services, away from our chosen bank mortgage, which was already in place! We refused to take an interview with thier advisor, so they refused to put our offer forward 3x. We took advice on this matter and found out it was illegal and against government standards to refuse to put an offer forward to the seller. So we called the agent a final time and warned them they were breaking the law by refusing to put our offer forward without seeing them first. They told us they were country wide and this wss their policy, and not in breach of government standards or rules. So we gave them 3 hour to put the offer forward or we walk away and report them. We went to Two banks gor advice on this law and two other estate agents , they all said the estate agent was only trying to push us into selling us their products and services and also, if we had sat with their inhouse financial advisers, they would know what our position was and could pushed for more money on the sale, to up their incomes. We were shocked how this company was dealing with us, so much so the we advice no one to use them as they and breaching all uk rules and pushing false info on first time buyers.

Awful

Awful! When selling I specifically asked to not show people round myself but they could rarely make viewings, one time just before a viewing they said the person that had my keys was in another town and just wasn't going to make it back so I had to show the viewers round myself with 3 children in tow, not the easiest! BUT the reason I would NEVER use them again is because a neighbour wanted to buy the house (she was renting but looking to buy in the same area) she booked an appointment through Entwisle Green because I didn't want to do viewings (in the end I did because they were unavailable... again) We didn't sell the house in our time limit (to do with schools) Then the neighbour approached me again after that time with a better offer which we accepted. After the sale went through with her they charged me £2,000 for 'introducing us'!!!! They hadn't introduced us, we had already met, we only booked an appointment time through them because that's what they told me to do. We arranged all the sale ourselves, they had no dealings with it whatsoever. We refused to pay but then threats of court came so we was pressured to pay, it'll take us years to pay in instalments because that's all we can afford

The worst company I've ever used

The worst company I've ever used, completely useless, we are in the process of selling our house, it was in fact sold within one week, very good we thought, but now four months later we have just had another letter telling us they have lost or not received paperwork we have now sent to them four times, the last one by registered post. Please don't go through what we have, use a reputable estate agents, any but not these clowns.

Entwistlegreen lettings is the worst estate agency I came across so far! Avoid!

Entwistlegreen to sign me up without my consent to Spark Energy before moving into a new property. Spark Energy pays Entwistlegreen estate a commission for signing up new tenants to Spark Energy and a ongoing fee from their monthly bill and that is causing their prices to be so high. It takes a least around six weeks to switch from them but you will end up paying for six weeks like you where paying for six months on different provider. I really think this is a scam and spoke with my solicitor and looks like Entwistlegreen has broken the law. Both scamming companies should be avoided as they work together to scam people. Also if you are a tenant bear in mind that you will never get your deposit back. Avoid this scammers.

Horrendous scam tactics

Wanted to rent a property, the first attempt they didn't show up, no call or anything, the second attempt they did show up however 10 other people showed up. They clearly tried to huddle everyone together to try and create a panic rent and were asking for things like 100% annual rent up front. Absolutely horrendous felt so angry

Do NOT trust under any circumstances!!

I have been trying to get my £650 deposit back from these liars for 30 days!! They repeatedly blame the landlord (a personal friend of mine) for the delay in not returning MY money. My advice to anyone would be AVOID THIS COMPANY!! They cannot be trustedUPDATE: It took 11 weeks and the threat of legal action to get my deposit back. They then offered me £50 “goodwill gesture” for the appalling service and guess what ........ over 6 weeks later still no £50!!!!!!!
