I wanted to take a moment to share my positive experience with Mundys after renting a house from them for 2.5 years. While the house itself was an older property and not in the best condition, the team at Mundys consistently provided excellent support. Whenever we faced any issues, they were quick to respond and resolved everything efficiently, which really made a difference in our living experience. Now that we've moved to another house, we were pleased to have our deposit fully returned. I truly recommend them to anyone looking for a rental agency. Thank you, Mundys!

Highly recommend

Highly recommend! We put our property on the market just before lock down-Barbara was amazing. During difficult circumstances for ourselves and the pandemic happening, Mundy's continued to communicate with us and got things going quickly once lock down eased. Lorraine was very good at negotiating and finally got us a realistic offer. Everything went through quickly and smoothly- Vicki continued to communicate either by telephone or email. She also organised some clearance of furniture for charity. Someone was always there in the office to answer the telephone and they always returned calls. Always had accompanied viewings. Thank you all the team.

Very good overall, I think I had to chase but that's because they was very busy but they was so lovely and it was amazing service. I can't say how amazing Donna has been through the whole process and she's just so kind about everything. So mundys are lucky to have a worker like Donna

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. I rented a house from these scumbags a couple of years ago. They hid mould with furniture. There was an insect infestation that happened between me viewing and moving in. The washing machine would leak the electric would cut out (not metered) and the rude individual in the office thought she could diagnose and have me fix the electrical fault over the phone with neither of us being qualified. Save yourselves the headache and buy a tent.

Awefully horrendus experience with Mundys Lettings. Avoid at all cost. 1. at the first inspection they couldn't even open the door and charged me of changing the lock and suspected I was sub-letting. I had to complain, only then they apologiesed that they tried again and could open the door. What the heck? 2. They recommended Virgin Media for a broadband choice, that the last tenant used them or Virgin's cables installed or something, so I went to Vigin only to find out Virgin Media never installed the cable there and only BT is available for the whole property I rented. 3. After moving out, they told me that I haven't returned a parking lot fob and tried to charge me for it. I had to remind them that at the time of signing the agreement they apologiesed me that no fob was available to me and I was like "don't worry I don't even own a car!" and no updates at all ever since, only when I move out a year later asking for a return? They haven't really apologiesed this, just stopped contacting me. 4. I had to renew the tenancy agreement and we set a date for the renwal. The agent wasn't present on our renewal appointment day. Another agent there told me they haven't prepared the renewed agreement so just to pay first and they'll get back to us later, they did not get back to me for two weeks I had to chase after them when I can sign the renewed agreement. 5. Obviously they didn't even update my renewed contract or so, because they gave me a false alert for moving out - I had to complain I renewed the contract so my moving date was long ahead. 6. They didn't tell me in advance the property was renamed just before I moved in, therefore, I could not find my address anywhere online - Linc council, water provider, electricity provider, post office, just anywehre. I asked them and it took them 2 days I think to get back to me with the previous address. - I think this is partically why for the first two weeks there were no letters delivered at all. When my flatmate wanted to know why there's no letter arriving, the agent was so rude. I was quite shocked at their customer service. These are only some memorable ones I shared but there were so many times I was shocked, that I paid for these people, for this service. I would rather find a private landlord and risk everything and feel so frustrated that they don't care yet I still paid for their "service". If you are a tenant, just avoid Mundys Lettings.

seeing the other reviews and although a bit late I had similar experience last year when I went to enquire about renting space for a restaurant. Not the most friendly chat when we gave them details of what we were looking for but anyway they said they would get back to us with a follow up. That was it, never heard again. I hope it had nothing to do with my Asian wife present with me !! Im putting 1 * as you cannot put zero

Amazing out of hours experience

Had an issue with my boiler at 10:30pm, I rang the out of hours number and jack was really helpful. As my partner has a spinal cord injury we couldn't be left without any heat so he travelled down to my property to drop off a heater for us, while he was here he looked at the boiler to see if there was anything he could do to help. He was so efficient.

Emma Bowey at Mundy's wasted an enormous amount of my time by just not honestly disclosing information. I can only assume in not disclosing it Emma hoped they would get the commission over the line regardless of what costs I as a buyer would be signing up to blind. If that is not it then the issue was a competence one, frankly. When viewing the property Mundy's issued the wrong keys to someone who was oddly adamant their only contribution would be letting us in, which they couldn't even do. When I put in an offer for a leasehold Emma didn't say when she'd be away, holding up the process, then didn't realise a load of her emails were stuck in her outbox, holding it up again. She refused to inform the seller to give their tenants fair notice the flat had an offer on it. She refused after months of negotiation to tell me, the potential seller, who owned the freehold and various other key questions I needed the answer to as a potential buyer, right up to the brink when I either had to buy a property not knowing the costs or pull out. Given she failed to tell me even about the 300 pound fee she must've known the management company would charge for the buyers pack I assumed she was acting, on the evidence I had, on bad faith and pulled out. Lots of time and effort wasted for all by them withholding or simply not sharing key information any responsible buyer needs and by them pursuing that approach for months. I know estate agents get a bad reputation but given this I really can see why. It was all done in bad faith whilst there was a veneer of professionalism.

Right from the outset there was an energy and positivity about the service we received. Always felt we were kept up to date and there was an expectation that we would be successful in selling the property. Special thanks to Sophie, Barbara and Claire for their unwavering support and achievement of s successful outcome!

We recently moved home with the help from Clare Fordyce. Clare was exceptional, she kept us updated daily, helped with all of our requests and queries and best of all, Clare was just so friendly. Can’t thank her enough for how incredible she was, she made the process much more smoother for us.

I have had a very positive experience with Living in Lincoln so far. Jenni has been very responsive to emails and every time we talked she was very professional, approachable and friendly. Despite being incredibly busy, Jenni has managed to deal with all my requests and issues in the flat in the shortest time possible and I do hope she will stay as my point of contact while I am renting through Living in Lincoln....

Mundys have been so helpful from day…

Mundys have been so helpful from day one of finding a rented home, organising all the paperwork and corresponding between myself and the landlord when things in the property needed attention. Mundys have an online portal and communication via email and phone is always prompt and reliable, mitigating any stress when balancing university, placements and life events. The last two years have been so easy when renting with Mundys.

Thorough and Efficient Management

Mundys have been brilliant at managing my property. So thorough and fair with landlord and tenant. I'm always notified straight away if the tenant has any issues and they are quick to sort contractors to fix these. Also, recently i had a tenant move out and we needed to claim for cleaning. Jack from Mundys made the deposit return process smooth and straightforward. Thank you!

Easily the best lettings agency I have used as a tenant. Exceptional customer service throughout from every person I have liaised with. They go above and beyond to provide a high quality service and also to resolve any issues that arise quickly and professionally whilst also giving a personal tailored approach. Have made what can often be a stressful time to a more smooth and easy one!

Please stay clear

Please stay clear. I was given the property in extremely poor condition. It was dirty, there was no refresher of paint like they told me, the shower was leaking through to downstairs and the toilet was broken but again when I picked up the keys no one told me. No one came to fix these, we had to do this ourselves. I sent in a complaint which was pointless as they just didn’t care. I’ve left the tenancy when I could and left the property in good condition because I wanted to make sure that I got my deposit back to be told they won’t be because I didn’t clean one window (not them all just one) and the garden needed tidying but they couldn’t specify what needed doing in the garden and I have proof that my partner who is a landscaper did this. Now I’m having to fight through DPS. This estate agents don’t care about people or their welfare only about getting money. Just to add to this as well the staff are so rude! They literally have no customer service skills it’s really bloody shocking

Bought a house with Mundys being the sellers estate agents. They were fantastic, kept me updated better than my solicitors and always assisted with any enquires we had regarding the property. Each and every member of staff we had contact with went above and beyond.

Awful experience

Awful experience . As a buyer looking to buy a property from them ,the Agent was not happy for me to ask questions about the property I was looking to make an offer on. Rang me to say the property in question had been sold and sounded very childish . I would not recommend.

This was my first time renting a property alone through Mundy's, and I am delighted to say that they were with me every step of the way with absolute confidence. From the application and all the paperwork to moving in, they were always there with advice and everything in between, as well as guiding me towards contacts I hadn't even considered, like Tennant Shop and people who could help with necessary direct debit setups. As an individual who was making this step alone, I, naturally, was apprehensive to make such a dramatic change, but Mundy's made it a simple and exciting process. I am beyond happy and satisfied with choosing them.

Truly appalling service from Mundys. Clare and Lorraine hindered the sale at every opportunity. They lied to the seller and I on multiple occasions, they showed people round the house when it was SSTC, they forgot to pass on important information to solicitors, and they tried to create animosity between myself and the seller as a sales tactic. At one point, they accidentally cc'd the seller into an email chain of the two of them bitching about him. Buying a house is supposed to be exciting, but it was an awful experience because of Mundys. The seller and I were only able to complete the purchase by getting in direct contact and removing Mundys as a middleman altogether. Unfortunately the seller was still forced to pay their commission in full, despite them doing nothing. I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism. I put in a formal complaint and it was dismissed because they said they were just acting in the seller's best interests. Both myself and the seller would disagree with this.
