As a property investor, time is a critical factor, and is defined by the level of communication that takes place. We have no direct link with Gilbert & Rose, however they were the agents in the chain, in which we were too. I would like to take this opportunity to call out, Claire Skilbeck from Gilbert & Rose as her professionalism knows no boundaries. As mentioned, we were in a chain, and the occasional email would drop. However it was Claire's nature, and her ability to respond to queries immediately, that caught our attention. Whilst I was not getting answers from my own sources, I placed a call to Claire, and was pleasantly surprised to hear a warm and welcoming voice over the phone. Two hours later, I had the answers and was able to instruct the teams accordingly. Going forward, Claire and myself had weekly conversations, over phone and email and each time, the matter was resolved. I have spoken to a lot of professionals in this field however Claire and her team at Gilbert & Rose stand out from the rest. On the off set we were told that our deal will take 14-16 weeks to complete. However completing the deal in half that time is clear evidence that Gilbert & Rose understand the fast paced market and the needs of connecting the right buyers with sellers. My wife and myself were recommended to use Gilbert & Rose to market our property by our daughter as she knew Spencer Gilbert. And we have not been disappointed in the slightest. Not a single complaint during the whole process of selling and buying. Lucy was fantastic during the viewing process, so calm and professional in the way that she handled perspective purchasers of our home. It was a full on time with 11 couples in 3 hours. Lucy was brilliant throughout. Erica, worked tirelessly behind the scenes to secure a satisfactory price for our property, also, Erica was a friend we had not seen for many years, so it was comforting to know we were in safe hands. Claire, our Sales Progressor also worked hard. Fantastic work liaising with both solicitors involved in the sale and purchase process and with the estate agents in Devon. Calling frequently or emailing to keep us up to date with how things were going and gently guiding where needed. In conclusion, we throughly recommend Gilbert & Rose. A truly dedicated and customer focussed Estate Agent. Bringing a first class service in a fast paced industry, this team were on the ball every step of the way. I have no hesitation in recommending Perry, Erica and the team at GIlbert & Rose to sell your home. I haven’t used them to sell ours because I own my own estate agency, albeit not locally. However, the service as a buyer/viewer has been second to none. From the first call to trying to find us our dream home to getting emails of properties before they go on the portals. If you want a proactive agent to sell your home at the right price, with quality photography and by staff who care I think you can’t go too wrong with Perry and the team. As Tina used to sing Gilbert & Rose are "Simply the Best" looked after us from the first day of viewing the property, putting an offer in through to exchanging contracts, always there every step of the way to assist us when we needed it , took all the hard work out of buying a property, can' t thank Emma enough for all the after sales support she has the patience of a saint , If you're going to buy or sell or I'd imagine leasing as well , do yourself a favour , don't bother looking around at the others, get yourself straight down to Gilbert & Rose and let them look after you. I have used Gilbert and Rose for both sales and rentals and was happy on all occasions. During the past year, Rhiannon has rented 2 of my properties. Obviously due to the pandemic it was more challenging than usual. Not only did Rhiannon provide a responsive, professional and excellent service. We purchased our home through G&R, a very professional, friendly and helpful team- would highly recommend! Our case was a tough one that dragged on for months longer than it should have done (through no fault of the agents) alongside a very busy housing market with the stamp duty holiday. Through all of this Perry was able to call and email us weekly to update us on the progress- which made things much less stressful. Once things started moving our sales progressor Claire was incredible- so helpful, no question was too big or small. I would highly recommend Gilbert & Rose. My sales negotiator, Lucy knew exactly what i was looking for & arranged a prompt viewing where my offer was put forward and accepted the very same day. Lucy was knowledgeable and clearly an expert in her field. Not sure why this estate agent is so popular, they are SHOCKING, not only is the communication non existent but their staff can we very rude in my experience. You’re paying for a high rate to not even get feedback from viewings and update at all. Contradicted everything they said in the beginning to get us to sign on. We ended up closing the contract early and go with another estate agent - not reliable, and time wasters
