So disappointing experience with Spencers. I don't think they are professionals. I don't believe their reviews in Google are true. We had the worst experience like tenants. Katy and Naomi let us down. So the things now escalated to Property Ombudsman. Please tenants and landlords and any other people who are using their services look after your rights! Keep your evidences and report Spencers to Property Ombudsman like I do.

I have had the pleasure of having my mortgage arranged for my house purchase with Cem from Spencers Wigston office. One simple word to describe him.. 'Amazing'. Nothing was too much for him and during a long and very difficult house buying process, he has been a star. Firstly, he was able to get me a great mortage offer and always made time to contact me and explain everything thoroughly. Very professional, very friendly. He even made the effort to contact me on numerous occasions just to see how I am getting on.. I found that absolutely wonderful! I could write paragraphs about how great he has been. I have recently had the pleasure of using Gem to help set up my mortgage and couldn’t be more impressed with his help. He made the whole process easy even though it was during yet another lockdown but the systems he uses makes it feel as though you are sat together going through everything. When we saw a house on the market we quickly needed to get ours on; within 48 hours our house had gone live and a few hours later we had viewings arranged. With an offer on a house accepted we needed to sell ours quickly and Jo, Stephanie and team worked hard to ensure we had the best chance of doing so. Once the sales and purchases were agreed Spencers were fantastic at going between the various solicitors to ensure all moved at a steady pace. We went from going on the market to moving into our new home within 12 weeks.

I wouldn’t even give Spencer’s Syston or the actual overall company a 1 star! I had the worst experience buying a property. Lack of communication you have to keep chasing for updates. Lies about the property I brought. Took it to head office and even appealed and I got nothing apart of a rubbish apology! I will never deal with Spencer’s again.

The service we received from Jack was exceptional. I am a director of a Surveying Company & deal with many estate agents on a daily basis - unfortunately the vast majority make our job incredibly difficult ! Not in this case. Our call had initially gone through to the wrong branch, however Jack was still able to deal with our query extremely efficiently, nothing was too much trouble for him. He was also polite & cheerful (which are rare qualities these days ) he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Other estate agencies could seriously take a leaf out of this young mans book. A perfect example of how the job should be done - well done Jack & Spencers.

Absolute Thieves.

Over 2 years since i moved out still have not seen a penny of my deposit. Absolute thieves being incredibly rude over email, anyone working there should be ashamed at what they do to people. I will be taking legal action for far more than the original amount owed.

As a first time buyer, i'd expect a mortgage adviser to help you as much as possible and make your journey less complicated. BUT unfortunately it didn't go as expected. Disappointed, it's a shame really because Demi was nice, but she made it complicated and didn't really know how to handle the business, i had to give up and go somewhere else. Waste of time, effort, fuel, and also printed out a load of bank statements and payslips for nothing!!!!!
